There are unrestricted conditions on the driver's face inside the vehicle, such as changes in lighting, partial occlusion and various changes in the driver's condition. In this paper, we propose a face identification system in an unrestricted vehicle environment. The proposed method uses a near-infrared (NIR) camera to minimize the changes in facial images that occur according to the illumination changes inside and outside the vehicle. In order to process a face exposed to extreme light, the normal face image is changed to a simulated overexposed image using mean and variance for training. Thus, facial classifiers are simultaneously generated under both normal and extreme illumination conditions. Our method identifies a face by detecting facial landmarks and aggregating the confidence score of each landmark for the final decision. In particular, the performance improvement is the highest in the class where the driver wears glasses or sunglasses, owing to the robustness to partial occlusions by recognizing each landmark. We can recognize the driver by using the scores of remaining visible landmarks. We also propose a novel robust rejection and a new evaluation method, which considers the relations between registered and unregistered drivers. The experimental results on our dataset, PolyU and ORL datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Water-soluble rubber asphalt-based waterproofing material, which is one of the waterproofing materials for building structures, is mainly used indoors (toilet, kitchen, balcony, etc.). In general, asphalt-based materials are used for non-exposed installation, rather than as exposed type as they do not deviate from their usual basic black pigmentation, and water-soluble rubber asphalt-based coating waterproofing materials are basically limited to indoors because of their low physical properties. Accordingly, in order to improve the tensile and elongation properties, a silane coupling agent, an inorganic filler, and a processor oil w ere added to improve the physical properties, and accordingly, the basic physical properties of the outdoor coating waterproofing material quality standard were analyzed. As a result, the water-soluble rubber asphalt coating waterproofing material compared with the exposure quality standard showed a result that exceeded the basic physical property quality standard of silicone rubber in all items under test evaluation, but the tensile strength and tear strength of the first class of urethane rubber were chloroprene. It was found that the performance compared to the quality standards of rubber-based tear strength was about 34.2% to about 40.8%.
Evaluating the qualitative the qualitative process of water resources by using various indicators, as one of the most prevalent methods for optimal managing of water bodies, is necessary for having one regular plan for protection of water quality. In this study, zoning maps were developed on a yearly basis by collecting and reviewing the process, validating, and performing statistical tests on qualitative parameters҆ data of the Iranian aquifers from 1995 to 2020 using Geographic Information System (GIS), and based on Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW), Radial Basic Function (RBF), and Global Polynomial Interpolation (GPI) methods and Kriging and Co-Kriging techniques in three types including simple, ordinary, and universal. Then, minimum uncertainty and zoning error in addition to proximity for ASE and RMSE amount, was selected as the optimum model. Afterwards, the selected model was zoned by using Scholar and Wilcox. General evaluation of groundwater situation of Iran, revealed that 59.70 and 39.86% of the resources are classified into the class of unsuitable for agricultural and drinking purposes, respectively indicating the crisis of groundwater quality in Iran. Finally, for validating the extracted results, spatial changes in water quality were evaluated using the Groundwater Quality Index (GWQI), indicating high sensitivity of aquifers to small quantitative changes in water level in addition to severe shortage of groundwater reserves in Iran.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of learning using computer-based science inquiry program. To this end, the three lessons computer-based science inquiry were developed in domain of material's properties. The developed program was put into K middle school located in Seoul and the effects were verified. For the experimental group, the three lessons computer-based science inquiry related to the separation of mixture were introduced, and for the comparison group, the contents presented in the textbook were introduced as a teacher-centered teaching method. To verify the effects of the program, 2-way ANCOVA was performed on positive experiences about science and science core competency, and 2-way ANOVA was performed on academic achievement. As a result of the study, there were significant differences between the two groups in positive experiernces about science and scientific core competencies and academic achievement (p<.05), and group*gender interaction effect was only significant in academic achievement (p<.05). From the results of this study, we could see the possibility of using a computer-based science inquiry program as a chemistry teaching method that enables sustainable scientific inquiry.

Dalmun was a top star entertainer who enjoyed the greatest popularity in the Chosun Dynasty in the 18th century by performing dance, singing and telling jokes. This study focuses on the fact that there has been no precedent research of actor studies or artist management perspective because he has been discussed only in the fields of literature and history. Therefore, we selected "Dalmunga" written by Hong Shinyu and "Gwangmunjajeon" created by Park Jiwon, which contained the richest expressions of his art world in the old relevant literature, and then analyzed his artistic capabilities using the content analysis method that combine frequency analysis(FA) and semantic analysis(SA) by applying the Actor Evaluation Model developed in 2015. As a result of FA, Dalmun's artistic competence factors (64%) were far more emphasized than artistic achievement factors (36%). It was considered that the atmosphere of Chosun society was reflected under the influence of Confucianism, which emphasized the fostering personality and virtue. According to the SA, a positive view (53.1%) dominated a negative perspective (24.5%) for each of his artistic capability factors. It shows that in contrast to Dalmun's destitute lower-class artist status, his self-abolition and transcendental life have become an inspiration to others. In conclusion, artistic devotion, perfect artistry, good humanity and spirit, commendable words and demeanors that cause'good influence' derived from Dalmun's unique competence are regarded as a key element of self-management, especially for popular artists suffering from recent misbehavior and deviant issues.

Currently, the number of bridge structures in Korea is continuously increasing and enlarged, and the number of old bridges that have been in service for more than 30 years is also steadily increasing. Bridge aging is being treated as a serious social problem not only in Korea but also around the world, and the existing manpower-centered inspection method is revealing its limitations. Recently, various bridge damage detection studies using deep learning-based image processing algorithms have been conducted, but due to the limitations of the bridge damage data set, most of the bridge damage detection studies are mainly limited to one type of crack, which is also based on a close set classification model. As a detection method, when applied to an actual bridge image, a serious misrecognition problem may occur due to input images of an unknown class such as a background or other objects. In this study, five types of bridge damage including crack were defined and a data set was built, trained as a deep learning model, and an open set recognition-based bridge multiple damage recognition model applied with OpenMax algorithm was constructed. And after performing classification and recognition performance evaluation on the open set including untrained images, the results were analyzed.

This study was designed to develop a sustainable clothing life education program for middle school students and to analyze the effects of the developed program on the "Change-maker" characteristics of adolescents. This study proceeded following the ADDIE teaching design model. The learning activities in the middle school Technology and Home Economics textbooks were analyzed according to the steps of the Change-maker education program. Based on the analyzed results, the sustainable clothing life education program entitled 'Clothes for us, actions for the earth' which includes ten teaching and learning process plans, 17 individual learning activity sheets, and seven group learning activity sheets was developed. The developed program was implemented on 285 first-year students in K middle School in Ulsan. After the class, the level of Change-maker characteristics of the students increased from 3.87(SD=.54) to 4.59(SD=.64). From the interviews of the students, it was also found that the developed program influenced the values and behaviors of the students. Therefore it was confirmed that the Education for Sustainable Development(ESD) program on clothing life in middle school Home Economics developed based on the Change-maker education program stage was effective in cultivating the Change-maker characteristics of adolescents.

In a wide range of ML applications, the training data contains privacy-sensitive information that should be kept secure. Training the ML systems by privacy-sensitive data makes the ML model inherent to the data. As the structure of the model has been fine-tuned by training data, the model can be abused for accessing the data by the estimation in a reverse process called model inversion attack (MIA). Although, MIA has been applied to shallow neural network models of recognizers in literature and its threat in privacy violation has been approved, in the case of a deep learning (DL) model, its efficiency was under question. It was due to the complexity of a DL model structure, big number of DL model parameters, the huge size of training data, big number of registered users to a DL model and thereof big number of class labels. This research work first analyses the possibility of MIA on a deep learning model of a recognition system, namely a face recognizer. Second, despite the conventional MIA under the white box scenario of having partial access to the users' non-sensitive information in addition to the model structure, the MIA is implemented on a deep face recognition system by just having the model structure and parameters but not any user information. In this aspect, it is under a semi-white box scenario or in other words a gray-box scenario. The experimental results in targeting five registered users of a CNN-based face recognition system approve the possibility of regeneration of users' face images even for a deep model by MIA under a gray box scenario. Although, for some images the evaluation recognition score is low and the generated images are not easily recognizable, but for some other images the score is high and facial features of the targeted identities are observable. The objective and subjective evaluations demonstrate that privacy cyber-attack by MIA on a deep recognition system not only is feasible but also is a serious threat with increasing alert state in the future as there is considerable potential for integration more advanced ML techniques to MIA.

The construction of new renewable energy facilities is steadily increasing every year. In particular, the offshore wind farm market, which has abundant development scalability and a high production coefficient, is growing rapidly. The southwest sea has the highest possible offshore wind power potential, and related projects are to be promoted. This study presents a basic design procedure by the EUROCODE and considers structural safety in the development of an effective of shore wind foundation in the clay layer. In a previous study, the wind power generator of 5MW class was the main target, but the 8MW of wind turbine generator, which meets the technical trend of the wind turbine market in the Southwest sea, was selected as the standard model. Furthermore, a foundation that fulfills the geological conditions of the Southwest sea was developed. The structural safety of this foundation was verified using finite element method. Moreover, structural safety was secured by proper reinforcement from the initial design. Based on the results of this study, structural safety check for various types of foundations is possible in the future. Additionally, specialized structural design and evaluation guidance were also established.

This study investigated and analyzed the contents of writing learning, self-evaluation of writing ability, recognition of writing ability, and recognition of writing education direction to J university students in order to analyze the perception of writing of university students and find ways to improve writing education. Through this, the improvement plan of writing education was discussed. As a result of researching and analyzing the perceptions of university students, college students perceived writing ability as important, and they wanted practical writing classes that received feedback and wrote actual writing rather than theoretical classes. In addition, it was found that they wanted to develop their ability to construct and develop the contents of the article. In order to make writing education a practical competency for college students, theoretical lectures are important, but it is necessary to give enough time and opportunity to write in practice, and to develop customized practical writing. Also, it is necessary to make writing class that students can participate through various teaching methods, and to make writing ability lead to practical competence even after graduation through the method of university graduation certification requirements. This study is meaningful in that it can seek the direction of university writing education through the recognition of college students related to writing.
