In order to design accurately plastic board drain (PBB) method, it is important to determine the equivalent circle of PBD. In this paper, a series of numerical analyses on soft ground improved by PBD were carried out, in order to investigate the resonable equivalent circle of PBD considering consolidation behavior of improved soft ground by PBD. The applicability of numerical analyses, in which an elasto-viscoplastic three-dimensional consolidation finite element method was applied, could be confirmed comparing with results of a series of model tests on consolidation behaviors of soft ground improved by PBD. And, through the results of the numerical analyses, consolidation behaviors of soft ground during consolidation was elucidated, together with the equivalent circle of PBD considering consolidation behaviors.

In this study, we analyzed the contents of pi and the area of a circle presented in Korean, Japanese, Singapore, and American mathematics textbooks, and drew implications for the teaching of pi and the area of a circle in school mathematics. We developed a textbook analysis framework by theoretical discussions on the concept of the pi based on the various properties of pi and the area of a circle based on the central ideas of measurement and the previous researches on pi and the area of a circle in elementary mathematics. We drew five suggestions for improving the teaching of pi and three suggestions for improving the teaching of the area of a circle in Korean elementary schools.

This study attempts to derive the necessity and effects of study circles and the direction for their future improvement by understanding the current operation situation of study circles by the librarian who are in charge of school libraries and their perception about the study circle activities. For this purpose, those in charge of school libraries in 25 Offices of Education Support in Gyeonggi-Do were surveyed by telephone interview regarding the operation of study circles by the school librarians. Survey analysis and in-depth interview were conducted particularly focusing on Suwon region where the school librarians turned out to be most actively involved in the study circle activities. According to the analysis results, study circle activities by librarian gives an opportunity of sharing information related to school library operation and cultivating competence as a librarian, in addition to being helpful in enhancing their performance capability in school libraries.

This paper is a study on the activation of Factory Saemaul QC circle activities contributing much to the management of enterprises. One hundred seventy leaders of QC circles were served as subjects. The factors to activate QC circle activity have been obtained in terms of multivariate analysis. It was observed from the result of the diagnosis that the independency, the relationship of the office-organization and the ability of the achievement-expression are the general problems of Korean enterprises.

The current risk assessment system do not reflect workers' various opinion. However, the worker actually are in the center of work field and are exposed to accidents. In this regard, this study suggests enhanced risk assessment by 'safety circle discussion' on workers' hand. The self-administered surveys on supervisors and workers were done for the effect analysis of the safety circle discussion. According to the question investigation, even though the current risk assessment causes difficulties in preventing accidents by unsafe behaviors, the worker-oriented safety circle discussion establishing measures for risk factors of each work type will be able to prevent accidents more effectively. Also, it can positively contribute to safety health awareness, industrial accident prevention, accurate recognition on risk factors, improving safety facilities/work conditions, workers' compliance to safety health rules. Lastly, most respondents agreed that it is necessary to form organic relationship through circle discussion and deriving safety inspections that workers participate.

This study analyzed President Park's speeches and the government's industry policy in the field of information security using cognitive map. The relationship analysis between policy tool variables and policy goal variables was employed to derive revitalization strategy of information security. This paper found that entrepreneurship revitalization has very strong causality with expansion of domestic market and global market. But, on the other hand, HR development has very weak causality with job creation and future growth driver because the labor market in the information security industry is poor and its transfer rate to other industry is very high. This study showed that this cognitive map could be characterized by a scarcity of feedback loops and a strong emphasis on the positive loops in the structure of virtuous circle. In this paper, we also constructed a comprehensive cognitive map on the policy vision of information security, showing that there are a risk of cyber threat, an opportunity of new fusion security market, information security reinforcing circle, global economic circle, and domestic market circle.

The hydrodynamic interaction forces and moments induced by the vicinity of bank on a passing vessel are known as bank effects. In this research, the characteristic features of interaction acting on a passing vessel in the proximity of a semi-circle bank wall are described and illustrated, and the effects of ship velocity, water depth and the lateral distance between ship and semi-circle bank wall are summarized and discussed.

In this paper, we design a Circle dot Code, In our scheme, we design a dot patterns for increasing maximum capacity and also for increasing robustness to Affine Transformation. Our code Can be extended according number of data circle. We use three data circle vision code. In this type code, after acquiring camera images for the Circle dot Codes, and perform error correction decoding using four position symbols and six CRC symbols. We perform graph based dot code analysis which determines the topological distance between dot pixels. Our code can be bridged the real world and ubiquitous computing environment.

Ship's trim is the one of the most important factor for safety at the sea. Turning circle test and Z-test were carried out to find the effect of ship's trim and draft changes. The results are as follows. 1. If the ship's draft and trim became large, turning circle would be wide. 2. If the ship's draft and trim became large, ship's drift angle would be small. Small drift angle made wide turning circle. 3. Trim by the head made slow ship's final speed when turning circle test. 4. By Z-test, the deeper draft and trim by the stern made small OSA. Small OSA means strong ship's stability. 5. Totally 2nd OSA is smaller than 1st OSA on Z-test. 6. There were small differences of 2nd OSA in trim by the stern, but there were large OSA in trim by the head. 7. The larger trim by the stern, the smaller OSW. The small OSW means better ship's stability and maneuverability.
