학부모의 에너지절약 인식 및 행동이 유아의 친환경태도와 환경보전지식에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Parents' Energy Conservation Awareness and Behaviors on Young Children's Environment-Friendly Attitudes and Environmental Preservation Knowledge)

  • 이 연구는 학부모의 에너지절약 인식 및 행동이 유아의 친환경태도와 환경보전지식에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 2013년 6월 10일부터 30일까지 충남 N시의 농어촌형 어린이집에 다니는 유아와 부모 160명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 학부모의 에너지절약 인식이 유아의 친환경태도에 미치는 영향은 학부모의 환경보전의식, 에너지 전략의식이 유아의 친환경태도에 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 학부모의 에너지절약 행동이 유아의 친환경태도에 미치는 영향은 학부모의 일반행동, 선택행동이 유아의 친환경태도에 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 학부모의 에너지절약 인식이 유아의 환경보전지식에 미치는 영향은 학부모의 환경보전지식, 에너지 전략의식이 유아의 환경보전지식에 영향을 미쳤다. 넷째, 학부모의 에너지절약 행동이 유아의 환경보전지식에 미치는 영향은 학부모의 일반행동, 선택행동이 유아의 환경보전지식에 영향을 미쳤다. 이상의 연구결과 학부모의 에너지절약 인식과 행동은 유아의 친환경태도와 환경보전지식에 긍정적인 정(+)의 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 유아의 친환경태도와 환경보전지식을 긍정적으로 높이기 위해 학부모의 바른 에너지절약인식과 행동의 중요함을 시사해 준 것이라 할 수 있다.

유아의 지능, 가정양육환경 및 자기조절능력과의 관계 (The Relations among Intelligence, Parenting Environment and Self-Regulation of Preschool Children)

  • The purpose of the this study was to identify the relations among intelligence, parenting environment and self-regulation of preschool children. The subjects were 81 children between the ages 3 and 6 and their mothers from one day-care center in Seoul. T-test, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis were used for data analysis. First, the result of this study showed that children's self-regulation ability by sex difference was significant to only girls and children's self-regulation ability by no was not significant. Parents who had higher educational background were positively related to children's intelligence and children's self-regulation ability was significant to mothers' educational background. Second, the preschool children who got higher scores in intelligence scale were higher self-regulation ability. Third, the young children's self-regulation ability showed significance only in motor intelligence which was one of the subscales of intelligence scale. Fourth, the effect of children's intelligence and parenting environment on preschoolers' self-regulation were relatively presented as intelligence($\beta$=.34, p<.01), trauma state($\beta$=0.31, p<.05) and development state($\beta$ =.23, p<0.5) which were subscales of parenting environment.

가족환경, 어머니의 사회심리적 역량과 아동의 사회적 역량간의 관계 (The Relation Between Family Environment, Mother's Psychosocial Competence And Children's Social Competence.)

  • The Purpose of this study was to examine the predictive capacity of mother's perception of the family environment (cohesion, expressiveness, conflict, mother's psychosocial competence) for children's social competence. The hypotheses of this reserch were 1) There will be significant positive relationships among mother's cohesion, expressiveness, and mother's psychosocial competence. 2) There will be significant negative relationships between mother's conflict and measures of children's social competence. 3) There will not be a significant relationships between SES and measures of children's social competence. 4) There will be significant relationships between children's gender and measures of children's social competence. The subjects of this study were 133 family of mother-child. The period of research was from Aug. 20, 1990 to Feb. 29, 1992. Correlations, t-test, F-test, and multiple regression analyses were conducted to determine the relationships among variables and measures of total sample, daughter sample, and son sample. The results of this study appeared as follow: 1. Family environment (cohesion, expressiveness, and conflict) and mother's psychosocial competence were related to children's social competence. 2. There were negative relationship between mother's conflict and daughter's social competence. 3. Daughters had the higher social competence than sons. 4. Socioeconomic status(perceived by mother) of family was not related to children's social competence. 5. Sociodemographic variables affecting to children's competence were mother's school career, mother's age, mother's religion.

그림책읽기 언어중재프로그램이 저소득 가정 아동의 언어능력에 미치는 종단적 영향 (The Longitudinal Effects of an Early Storybook Reading Intervention Program on the Improvement of First Graders' Language Abilities in Low-income Families)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of early storybook reading intervention participation on the first graders' language abilities in low income families. The subjects consisted of 148 first graders and their primary caregivers. The intervention group was composed of 100 first graders who participated in the early storybook reading intervention program in childcare or kindergarten. The comparison group comprised 48 first graders from equivalent social and economic backgrounds, who did not participate in the program. The language abilities of the children were tested and questionnaires regarding the home literacy environment, children's reading activities at home and parents' perceptions of their children's reading behaviors were completed by the children's primary caregivers. The data were analyzed by means of structural equation modeling. The results indicated that early intervention participation was directly associated with children's higher language abilities in first grade and indirectly influenced the children's language abilities through the home literacy environment, children's reading activities at home and parents' perceptions of their children's reading behaviors.

공공도서관 아동열람실의 환경행태특성평가에 관한 연구 (Evaluation of Environmental Behavioral Characteristics of Children's Reading Room in Public Libraries)

  • This study examined the arrangement features in public library infant and children's reading room and provide basic material in after children's reading room space planning by studying the space features, which are valued in the environment behavioral point of view. We limited the check list to libraries built after year 2000 that are located around Seoul and from 5 libraries with children reading rooms. After analyzing items by the space features, considering children's environment behavior, pleasantness was most favorable, children scale, safety, comfortableness, flexibility followed in order. It shows the basic surroundings and the furniture that composes the children's reading room are relatively favorable, but in the other hand, it seems that reading rooms lack the ability to form an environment that can adapt to children's growth, inducting new activity areas flexibly or rearrange them. there are limitations to getting the children's needs objectively and significantly, so survey research, interview research and not only studying Korean's but comparing and analyzing with foreign country's cases will be needed.

아동실의 물리적인 환경이 아동인성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Physical Environment of Childroom on Children's Personality)

  • The purpose of this research is to find out environmental characteristics of elementary school children's room, and determine the relationship between children's room environment and their personality. The finding showed that environmental characteristics of children's room has relationship with children's personality. Such environmental characteristics as convenience, order, originality, safety, and territoriality had a direct and high relationship with children's personality, while such environmental characteristics as accessibility, ability to express, comfortability, privacy, and social interaction had indirect relationship with children's personality through three intervening variables. The finding further said that achievement motivation and reflectiveness of children's personality were the most influenced by children's room environmental characteristics. The environmental characteristics that are the most influential to children's personality were found to be order.

  • Due to the increasing social participation of women and the decrease in the size of the typical family, childre's environments have become increasingly more important. In fact, children are one of the main groups who use the community environments. However, children as a group have not been considered in the planning of residential neighborhood environments. A child's spiritual, psychological and physical health develops upon their interaction with the surrounding environment. Residential community should therefore be planned in a child-friendly way. The aim of this study is to introduce possible criteria for developing design guidelines for Children-friendly residential environments. The principal objective is to investigate the actual conditions of children's lifestyles in residential environments and the exploration of design guidelines for children. In this study, a small group workshop panel method was used. The subjects were 4 panel groups which was consisted of households with children. Each of the panel included 2 consecutive workshops. In this study, a list of valuable criteria for design guidelines was identified. In addition, the current residential community environment was found to be inadequate to accommodate for children's lifestyles and children had different housing needs according to their ages. In conclusion, the design guidelines should be developed to provide children with developmentally appropriate community environments.

가정환경과 아동의 역량에 대한 자기지각 (Home Environment and Children's Self-Perceived Competence)

  • The present study investigated childrens' self-perceived competence as related to(1) home environment variables (2) school grades and sexes of children. The subjects were 297 fourth-and sixth grade-children selected from two elementary schools on Seoul. The instruments were a children's self-perceived competence scala and the HOME scale. Frequences, correlation, two way-ANONA and multiple regression were used for data analysis. There were correlations between home environment variables and children's self-perceive competence partially. Fourth grade children perceived themselves higher than sixth grade children in global self-worth. Boys perceived themselves higher than girls in physical competence. The variables that influence on children's self-perceived competence very with their grades and sexes.

아동의 발달지연과 가족환경과의 관련성 (Relation of Developmental Delay and Family Environment of Children in Community)

  • 본 연구는 3-5세 아동을 대상으로 발달선별검사인 K-DDSTII, K-ASQ을 실시하여 발달지연 결과를 가진 하부검사와 가정환경 간의 관련성을 알아보았다. 연구결과, K-DDST에서는 가족환경 중 아버지의 나이와 개인사회성, 어머니의 나이와 교육력이 대동작과 통계적으로 차이가 있었다. 또한 K-ASQ에서는 의사소통과 성별, 출생순서와 부모의 교육력에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 문제해결과 출생순서, 그리고 하부검사 중 하나이상의 발달지연이 있는 경우는 성별과 출생순서와 유의미한 통계적 차이가 있었다. 본 연구결과 발달선별 검사 시에 가족환경에 관한 조사가 병행된다면 아동 발달에 대한 선별검사의 효율성을 높이는 방안의 하나일 수 있음을 제시 할 수 있을 것이다.

Comparison of Machine Learning Analysis on Predictive Factors of Children's Planning-Organizing Executive Function by Income Level: Through Home Environment Quality and Wealth Factors

  • Background and objective: This study identifies whether children's planning-organizing executive function can be significantly classified and predicted by home environment quality and wealth factors. Methods: For empirical analysis, we used the data collected from the 10th Panel Study on Korean Children in 2017. Using machine learning tools such as support vector machine (SVM) and random forest (RF), we evaluated the accuracy of the model in which home environment factors classify and predict children's planning-organizing executive functions, and extract the relative importance of variables that determine these executive functions by income group. Results: First, SVM analysis shows that home environment quality and wealth factors show high accuracy in classification and prediction in all three groups. Second, RF analysis shows that estate had the highest predictive power in the high-income group, followed by income, asset, learning, reinforcement, and emotional environment. In the middle-income group, emotional environment showed the highest score, followed by estate, asset, reinforcement, and income. In the low-income group, estate showed the highest score, followed by income, asset, learning, reinforcement, and emotional environment. Conclusion: This study confirmed that home environment quality and wealth factors are significant factors in predicting children's planning-organizing executive functions.
