초기 청소년의 학년에 따른 개인적 변인, 사회적 지지와 자아존중감 간의 인과적 관련성 (The Causal Relationship of Early Adolescents' Personal Variables and Social Support on Self-Esteem According to Grade)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the causal relationship of early adolescents' personal variables and social support on their self-esteem by grade. Information on 226 6th graders from elementary schools and 226 1st year students from middle schools in Busan was collected. Early adolescents' prosocial behavior, academic achievement, social support, and self-esteem were assessed using their self-reports. For the data analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, t -test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression were used. The collected data were analyzed by the SPSS ver. 21.0 program for Windows. The major findings were as follows: first, early adolescents' prosocial behavior, academic achievement, social support demonstrated a significant difference between grades. Second, peers' social support was the most powerful determinant of self-esteem in both the 6th graders from elementary schools and the 1st year middle school students. Third, prosocial behavior had the greatest total effect on self-esteem in the case of both groups of students. The middle schoolers' academic achievement had no causal effect on their self-esteem. The findings from this study indicate that early adolescents' personal variables and social support are important elements that affect their self-esteem differently depending on their grade. Further, the findings of this study can be used as fundamental data to develop a teaching plan and provide counseling for early adolescents in order to increase their self-esteem.

유아의 자기조절력과 교사-유아 관계가 유아의 사회적 행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Children's Self-regulation and Teacher-Child Relationships on Children's Social Behaviors)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of children's self-regulation and teacher-child relationships on children's social behaviors. Participants were 239 4- to 5-year-old children(114 boys, 125 girls) and their 23 teachers. The teachers completed rating scales to measure children's social behaviors and teacher-child relationships. Children's self-regulation was assessed by a mother reported questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlations and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The major results of this study were as follows: First, Children's social behaviors were partially correlated with children's self-regulation and teacher-child relationships. Second, The most influential factor by children's social behaviors was teacher-child relationship. Specially, teacher-child intimacy was the most powerful factor predicting children's asocial behavior and prosocial behavior. While teacher-child conflict was the most powerful factor influencing children's aggressive behavior, hyperactive-distractible behavior and anxious-fearful behavior. Findings are discussed in terms of the importance of teacher-child relationships in the context of program development and guidance for maladjusted children.

  • 본 연구는 유아의 스마트폰 게임 과몰입 정도가 유아의 친사회적 행동 및 문제행동에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 하는 데에 목적을 두었다. 연구를 위해 경기도 소재 2개의 유치원과 2개의 어린이집에 소속된 만 3-5세 유아 147명과 그들의 어머니, 해당 유아의 담임교사 16명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 통해 빈도분석, 상관분석, 단순회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아의 스마트폰 게임 과몰입 정도가 심할수록 유아의 친사회적 행동에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아의 스마트폰 게임 과몰입 정도가 심할수록 유아의 문제행동 양상이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 유아의 스마트폰 게임 과몰입 정도가 유아의 친사회적 행동 및 문제행동에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아봄으로써 교육적 매체로서의 스마트폰을 효과적으로 활용하는 방안에 대해 제고해보도록 하는데 그 의의가 있겠다.

  • 본 연구는 유아의 언어표현능력이 친사회적 행동에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 대상은 경기도에 있는 9개 유치원 및 어린이집의 만 4세반 유아 44명과 만 5세반 유아 42명, 총 84명이다. 유아의 언어표현력은 장영애(1981)가 만 3-5세 수준에 맞게 제작한 언어표현능력 도구로, 유아의 친사회적 행동은 김영옥(2003)이 개발한 교사용 친사회적 행동 평가 척도(PBSYC)로 측정하였다. 연구 결과, 언어표현능력이 높을수록 친사회적 행동을 많이 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 언어표현능력이 친사회적 행동에 미치는 영향을 보면, 유아의 친사회적 행동에 그림보고 이야기 꾸미기의 하위 요인 중 내용의 일치가 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 즉 언어표현능력이 뛰어난 유아가 또래와 바람직한 관계를 형성하고, 도움을 주며, 자신의 능력을 활용하여 또래를 배려해 줄 수 있고, 자신의 것을 나누며 감정을 조절하는 데 있어서 그렇지 않은 유아보다 유능하다고 하겠다. 이를 바탕으로 유아의 친사회적 행동을 증진시키기 위해 교사는 유아의 언어표현능력을 증진시킬 수 있는 다양한 교육적 활동을 제공하고 다양한 방법을 활용하여 언어를 지도해야 함을 시사한다.

어머니의 촉진적 의사소통이 아동의 사회적 적응에 미치는 영향과 자기조절 능력의 매개효과 (The Effect of Mother's Facilitative Communication on Children's Social Adjustment and the Mediating Effect of Self-Regulation)

  • This study investigated the relationship between maternal facilitative communication perceived by children and the social adjustment which was measured as pro-social behaviors and aggressive behaviors in children. Special attention was given to the mediating effect of the child's self-regulation on the relationship. The subjects, selected by convenience sampling method, were 193 fourth and fifth grade elementary school students. Data was analyzed through Pearson's correlation, reliability analysis, and multiple regression using the SPSS 12.0. The findings of the study were as follows. First, the mother's facilitative communication perceived by the child was positively associated with the pro-social behavior, while, it was negatively correlated with the aggressive behavior of the child. Second, the mother's facilitative communication had direct effect on the prosocial behavior and the aggressive behavior of the child. Third, the direct impact of facilitative communication on social adjustment was mediated by the self-regulation variable. Based on these findings, this study proposes strategies for the improvement of children's adjustment during late childhood.

유아의 친사회적 행동 지원을 위한 미술 프로그램 개발 연구 : 다문화 가정 유아와 일반 유아를 대상으로 (A Study on the Development of Art Programs for Supporting Young Children's Prosocial Behavior : Focusing on young children from Multicultural and Typical Korean Families)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 다문화 가정 유아와 일반 유아의 친사회적 행동을 지원하는 미술 프로그램을 개발하는데 있다. 본 연구는 교사의 요구 조사 결과와 문헌 고찰 내용을 바탕으로 구체적인 미술 활동을 계획하였다. 또한 프로그램의 적용 가능성을 검증하기 위해 다문화 가정 유아와 일반 유아를 대상으로 프로그램을 실행하였다. 프로그램에 참여한 유아들은 활동 초기에 소극적인 태도를 보이거나 또래와 갈등하는 모습을 나타내었다. 프로그램이 중기로 접어들면서 유아들은 서로 어울리고, 양보하고, 협상하기 시작하였고 프로그램 후기에는 다문화 가정 유아와 일반 유아 모두 나누고, 돕고, 협력하는 친사회적 행동을 보여주었다. 이러한 결과는 본 연구에서 개발한 미술 프로그램이 다문화 가정 유아와 일반 유아의 친사회적 행동 증진에 도움이 된다는 것을 입증하는 것으로 다문화 가정 유아를 수용하고 있는 교육 기관에서 본 프로그램을 활용하여 다문화 유아와 일반 유아의 친사회적 행동을 지원할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

또래괴롭힘이 아동의 외로움과 불안에 미치는 영향 -초등학생과 중학생을 대상으로- (The Influence of Peer Victimization on Children's Loneliness and Anxiety)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of peer victimization on children's loneliness and anxiety. The 937 subjects were selected from the fourth, fifth, and sixth graders of elementary schools and the first and second graders of middle schools. The main findings of this study were as follows : 1) Boys were more focused on overt victimization than girls. Girls received more prosocial behavior than boys. There was no significant gender difference in relational victimization. 2) As the grade were higher, the tendency of relational and overt victimization had been decreased. As the grade higher, the tendency of prosocial behavior was no significant difference. 3) The influence of peer victimization on children's loneliness had difference among subtypes of peer victimization. 4) The influence of peer victimization on children anxiety had difference among subtypes of peer victimization.

아버지의 사회화신념과 아동의 사회적 행동 (Father's Socialization Beliefs as Related to Child Social Behaviors)

  • This study explored father's proactive socialization beliefs as related to social behaviors of their children. The Subjects were 194 fathers and their 3- to 6-year-old children in Seoul. Instruments included 2 questionnaires : the Social Skills Questionnaire reported by fathers and Child Social Behaviors rated by teachers. Results showed that father's socialization beliefs varied in terms of the importance of social skills, the reasons why parents believe children acquire or don't acquire particular social skills, and the most effective strategies fathers hold for socialization of children. There were significant differences in father's proactive beliefs by sex of child, economic status, and fathers' educational level. Fathers who emphasized child's regulation of negative emotions had children showing low prosocial behaviors.

  • The purpose of the present investigation was to analyze the effects of a social-emotional competence program utilizing group play therapy in promoting young children's prosociality, teacher-child relations and peer competence. The subjects were 90 five-year-old kindergarten children. The experimental treatment was performed in 14 sessions for 7 weeks. Instruments were the Prosocial Behavior Scale for Young Children (2003), Student-Teacher Relationship Scale (2004), and Iowa Social Competence Scales (1997). Data was analyzed by ANCOVA. Results were that the experiment group showed significantly higher social competence scores than the comparison and control groups. Conclusions were that a social-emotional competence program utilizing group play therapy can be effective in enhancing young children's improvement of prosociality, teacher-child relations, and peer competence.

메시지 소구유형이 친사회적 행동에 미치는 영향: 사회적 배제의 조절효과를 중심으로 (The Effect of Appeal Type of Advertisement on Consumer's Prosocial Behavior: Focusing on the Moderating Effect of Social Exclusion)

  • Purpose - Previous studies on the influence of appeal types of advertising messages on pro-social behavior have shown inconsistent results. The purpose of this study is to examine whether the appeal type of advertising affects consumer's prosocial behavior. In particular, the authors investigated whether the social exclusion moderates the relationship between the appeal type of advertising and prosocial behavior. Research design, data and Methodology - To verify the hypothesis, two experimental study were conducted. The experimental study was 2(appeal type : self-benefit vs. other-benefit) by 2(social exclusion : being ignored vs. being rejected) between-subject design. Participants were randomly assigned to one of four conditions. The experiment was conducted using a computer. First, the participants was exposed to the advertising image used in the social campaign, and then responded to questions about social behavior. The participants completed the experiment after further responding to the item for manipulation check and demographic measure. The experiment took about 10 minutes in total. Results - In Study 1, a global warming campaign with participation intention variable, other-benefit ads rather than self-benefit ads drive consumers who feel socially rejected to be more willing and likely to participate, but consumers who feel socially ignored are more likely to participate the campaign in self-benefit ad than other-benefit ad. Study 2 replicates the findings, a child poverty relief campaign with an amount-to-donate variable: consumers who feel explicitly rejected allocate more dollars to the charity in response to other-benefit rather than self-benefit ads, but consumers who being ignored are willing to donate more money. Conclusion - This study has theoretical contribution in that it expands existing theories by explaining the existing inconsistent results of the message appeal influence on pro-social behavior through new control variables. In addition, the results have important managerial implications, suggesting marketers should tailor their marketing message to match the consumer situation.
