  • A two-compartment four-cell model is developed for the adiabatic autoclave slim type reactor for free radical polymerization of low density polyethylene(LDPE). The mass and energy balances give rise to a set of ordinary differential equations, and by analyzing the system it is possible to predict properly not only the reactor performance but also the properties of polymer product. The steady state multiplicity is found to exist and examined by constructing the bifurcation diagram. The effects of various operation parameters on the reactor performance and polymer properties are investigated systematically to show that the temperature distribution plays the central role for the properties of polymer product. Therefore, it is essential to establish a good control strategy for the temperature in each compartment. In this study it is shown that the reactor system can be adoptively controlled by pole-placement algorithm with conventional PID controller. To accomplish a satisfactory control, the estimator and controller are initialized during the period of start-up.

  • The Existing Protect schedulings are mathematical nodes upon which probability control is based. In fact, under the mechatronics environment in the new product design and development, statistical information is very poor or sometimes non-existent. Probabilistic PERT/CPM methods are not always satisfying because those methods suppose that it is possible to apply central- limit theorem and there exists a critical path which is much mart critical than all the other paths. Fuzzy project scheduling is possibility based scheduling. For this reason, the Fuzzy Project Scheduling essential to design, development and control the new product under the mechatranics environment. This paper deals with a modeling on the project scheduling which use fuzzy set theory. Fuzzy concepts in the project scheduling are shown to be very useful and easy to work with in the R & D system.

  • Due to the increasing demand for convenience and simplicity, Home Meal Replacement (HMR) has become a key trend in the food service industry. This study researched the current consumer trend and analyzed the national and international HMR product trend, aiming to find useful insights for the field. Results showed that in order to expand the HMR market demand, it is possible to consider diversifying the product category by making customized premium products, such as products for the elderly, infants, patients, and sports players, or products with enhanced nutritional fortification. From the industrial aspect, centralization through Central Kitchen (CK) and implementation of the scientific and advanced ISO and HACCP system are necessary. Lastly, to develop high value-added HMR products, it is deemed essential to utilize the so-called 'food tech', the technology which integrates core technologies of the fourth industrial revolution into the food industry.

  • Phytochemical study of the methanolic extract of Flaveria trinervia (Asteraceae) leaves has led to the isolation of three constituents characterised as 3,5,7,4' tetrahydroxy-6-methoxy flavone (6-methoxy kaempferol), oleanolic acid and ${\beta}-sitosterol-{\beta}-D-glucoside$. The identities of the compounds were confirmed by the physical and spectroscopic data and by comparison with authentic samples.

  • Data from weighted distributions appear, among other situations, when some of the data are missing or are damaged, a case that is important in reliability and life testing. The kernel method for hazard rate estimation is discussed for these data where the basic large sample properties are given. As a by product, the basic properties of the kernel estimate of the distribution function for data from weighted distribution are presented.

  • Tissue-specific expression of the desired gene product in the targrt tissue is central to the concept of bioreactor. One approach is to use a tissue-specific promoter to drive desired gene. To investigate the feasibility of tissue-specific gene expression for bladder using the porcine uroplakin(UPII) promoter and its transcriptional control the efficacy of this promoter as well as well as fragments in regulating gene expression were cell lines using DNA transfection. • If an Azumaya algebra A is a homomorphic image of a finite group ring RG where G is a direct product of subgroups then A can be decomposed into subalgebras A(sub)i which are homomorphic images of subgroup rings of RG. This result is extended to projective Schur algebras, and in this case behaviors of 2-cocycles will play major role. Moreover considering the situation that A is represented by Azumaya group ring RG, we study relationships between the representing groups for A and A(sub)i.

  • Differential subordination and superordination results associated with a generalized Hurwitz-Lerch Zeta function in the open unit disk are obtained by investigating appropriate classes of admissible functions. In particular some inequalities for generalized Hurwitz-Lerch Zeta function are obtained.
