  • In this article we will introduce a real valued random field on a restricted indexed set and construct a classical asymptotic limit theorems on them. We will survey the basic properties of weakly dependent random processes and investigate two major mixing conditions for sequences of random variables. The concepts of weakly dependent sequence of random variables will be generalized to the case of random fields. Finally we will construct a central limit theorem and prove it.

  • The classical limit theorems like strong law of large numbers, central limit theorems and law of iterated logarithms are fundamental theories in probability and statistics. These limit theorems are proved under additivity of probabilities and expectations. In this paper, we investigate strong law of large numbers under sub-linear expectation which generalize the classical ones. We give strong law of large numbers under sub-linear expectation with respect to the partial sums and some conditions similar to Petrov's. It is an extension of the classical Chung type strong law of large numbers of Jardas et al.'s result. As an application, we obtain Chung's strong law of large number and Marcinkiewicz's strong law of large number for independent and identically distributed random variables under the sub-linear expectation. Here the sub-linear expectation and its related capacity are not additive.

  • A conditional version of the classical central limit theorem is derived rigorously by using conditional characteristic functions, and a more general version of conditional central limit theorem for the case of conditionally independent but not necessarily conditionally identically distributed random variables is established. These are done anticipating that the field of conditional limit theory will prove to be of significant applicability.

  • We consider the generalized autoregressive model with conditional heteroscedasticity process(GARCH). It is proved that if (equation omitted) β/sub i/ < 1, then there exists a unique invariant initial distribution for the Markov process emdedding the given GARCH process. Geometric ergodicity, functional central limit theorems, and a law of large numbers are also studied.

  • We consider a supercritical multitype age dependent branching process. We define a stochastic process Zf(t) which is a functional of the empirical age distribution. When the limit of the expectation of this functional vanishes we4 find some sufficient conditions for the asymptotic normality of the mean of f with respect to the empirical age distribution at time t.

  • Let p(x, dy) be a transition probability function on $(S, \rho)$, where S is a complete separable metric space. Then a Markov process $X_n$ which has p(x, dy) as its transition probability may be generated by random iterations of the form $X_{n+1} = f(X_n, \varepsilon_{n+1})$, where $\varepsilon_n$ is a sequence of independent and identically distributed random variables (See, e.g., Kifer(1986), Bhattacharya and Waymire(1990)).

  • Let {$X_j,\;j\geq1$} be a strictly stationary $\phi$-mixing sequence of non-degenerate random variables with $EX_1$ = 0. In this paper, we establish a self-normalized weak invariance principle and a central limit theorem for the sequence {$X_j$} under the condition that L(x) := $EX_1^2I{|X_1|{\leq}x}$ is a slowly varying function at $\infty$, without any higher moment conditions.

  • Let $\mathbb{X}_t$ be an m-dimensional linear process defined by $\mathbb{X}_t=\sum{_{j=0}^\infty}\;A_j\;\mathbb{Z}_{t-j}$, t = 1, 2, $\ldots$, where $\mathbb{Z}_t$ is a sequence of m-dimensional random vectors with mean 0 : $m\times1$ and positive definite covariance matrix $\Gamma:m{\times}m$ and $\{A_j\}$ is a sequence of coefficient matrices. In this paper we give sufficient conditions so that $\sum{_{t=1}^{[ns]}\mathbb{X}_t$ (properly normalized) converges weakly to Wiener measure if the corresponding result for $\sum{_{t=1}^{[ns]}\mathbb{Z}_t$ is true.
