Since Wertheimer and Leeper reported possible adverse health effects of magnetic field in 1979, worldwide researches on this issue have been conducted. More recently, the U.S. Congress instructed the NIEHS (National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences), NIH (National Institute of Health) and DOE (Department of Energy) to direct and manage EMF RAPID (Electric and Magnetic Fields Research and Public Information Dissemination) program aimed at providing scientific evidence to clarify the potential for health risks from exposure to extremely low frequency electric and magnetic fields(ELF-EMF). Although they concluded that the scientific evidence suggesting adverse health risks of ELF-EMF is weak, the exposure to ELF-EMF cannot be recognized as entirely safe. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to describe magnetic field 3-D calculation and to evluate eddy current of human body compare to international guide line recognized one of the basic problems. In open boundary problem, Magnetic field using FEM is not advantageous in the point of the division of area and the proposition of the fictitious boundary. Therefore, we induced the analytic equation of magnetic field calculations so but the finite line segment based on Biot-Savarts law Also, Eddy currents induced due to ELF-EMF magnetic field are computed. To calculate induced currents, impedance method is used in this paper, An example model of human head with resolution of 1.27cm is used. In this paper, We evaluate the magnetic field and eddy current of human head around 765 kV transmission lines compare to international guide line.

Objectives : This study was designed to investigate the effects of alcoholic fermentation extract from ovary and rind of pear on human skin. Methods : We investigated the effects of samples on human skin in terms of clinical trial. 32 of healthy volunteers, who lived in mokpo participated in clinical trial. Effects of sample on hygroscopicity and water-holding capacity were investigated. Sebum, moisture, scabrousness and desquamation were also investigated. Facial massages were conducted 8 times in each volunteers. Results : Single treatment group showed elevated levels of hygroscopicity (Normal : 106.4$\pm$2.1%, vs Pear : 114.1$\pm$6.2) and water-holding capacity (Normal : 87.1$\pm$4.4%, vs Pear : 96.2$\pm$1.3) on forearm of 16 volunteers respectively. In addition, massage group using sample showed elevated moisture (Control : 3.8$\pm$5.8%, vs Sample : 15.2$\pm$4.7%) and lowered scabrousness levels (Control : -12.3$\pm$4.4%, vs Sample : -22.0$\pm$5.2%) significantly. However, the levels of sebum did not affected by sample. Conclusions : These result suggest that alcoholic fermentation extract from ovary and rind of pear has moisturizing effect on human skin.

Stance is defined as any state in which the total mass of the body is supported by the feet. In order to maintain stance, the sum of gravito-inertial forces acting on the body must be registered by equal and opposite forces at the region of contact between the organism and the support surface. Balance is controlled by applying forces to the surface of support so as to maintain the body's center of mass vertically above the feet. for a muIti-segment organism, there can be a variety of ways in which balance can be controlled, since movements of different body segments can have similar effects on the control of balance. In general, the organism tends to have a body configuration that is aligned with gravito-inertial force when there are no external forces acting on it. If any segments of the body are not aligned with gravito-inertial force vector, a torque on that segment would tend to move the body's center of mass. The maintenance of postural stability is accomplished in humans by a complex neural control system. This requires organizing integrating and acting upon visual, vestibular, and somatosensory input, providing orientation information to the postural control system. The information necessary to control and coordinate movement is provided by the visual sense of eye position with respect to the surrounding surface layout, the vestibular sense of head orientation in the gravito-inertial space, and the somatic sense of body segment position relative to one another and to the support surface. In this study, perception and action capability was examined from various points of view. The underlying assumption of the study was that the change of postural configuration could be effected by organism, environment and task goal.

본 연구에서는 멕시코시티 외곽에 있는 프로판 저장기지인 PEMIX 터미널에서 발생한 프로판 누출에 따른 증기운 폭발을 분석하였다. 누출된 4750 kg의 프로판에 대한 TNT 등가량은 9398 kg으로 평가되었다. 폭원으로부터 40~400 (m) 떨어진 지점에서의 최대과압, 양의 압력 지속시간, 충격량과 같은 폭발변수를 TNT 등가법과 다중에너지법을 적용하여 구하였다. 폭발 변수들을 이용하여 구한 프로빗 함수를 적용하여 폐 손상, 고막 파열, 머리 충격, 전신 전위 충격으로 인한 손상 확률을 평가하였다. 고려한 모든 거리에서 다중에너지법을 이용하여 구한 최대과압이 TNT 등가법을 적용하여 구한 최대과압보다 큰 것으로 나타났으나, 200 m 이후 지점부터는 큰 차이가 없는 것으로 평가되었다. 다중에너지법에 의해 구해진 최대과압을 적용하여 구조물 손상 범위를 평가한 결과 폭원으로부터 100 m 이내에 있는 구조물의 경우 완전히 붕괴될 것으로 예측되고, 400 m 떨어진 구조물의 유리창도 거의 파손될 것으로 추정되었다. 폐 손상에 의한 사망 확률은 충격파 진행방향으로 위치하고 있는 인체의 자세에 따라 달라지는 것으로 나타났으며, 인체 주변에 반사면이 있는 경우 사망 확률이 가장 큰 것으로 평가되었다. 충격파가 폐 손상, 고막 파열, 머리 충격, 전신 전위 충격에 미치는 영향을 평가한 결과 전신 전위 충격 < 폐 손상 < 고막파열 < 머리 충격 순으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

Adipose tissue plays a central role in regulating dynamic cross-talk between tissues and organs. A detailed description of molecules that are differentially expressed upon changes in adipose tissue mass is expected to increase our understanding of the molecular mechanisms that underlie obesity and related metabolic co-morbidities. Our previous studies suggest a possible link between endophilins (SH3Grb2 proteins) and changes in body weight. To explore this further, we sought to assess the distribution of endophilin A2 (EA2) in human adipose tissue and experimental animals. Human paired adipose tissue samples (subcutaneous and visceral) were collected from subjects undergoing elective abdominal surgery and abdominal liposuction. We observed elevated EA2 gene expression in the subcutaneous compared to that in the visceral human adipose tissue. EA2 gene expression negatively correlated with adiponectin and chemerin in visceral adipose tissue, and positively correlated with $TNF-{\alpha}$ in subcutaneous adipose tissue. EA2 gene expression was significantly downregulated during differentiation of preadipocytes in vitro. In conclusion, this study provides a description of EA2 distribution and emphasizes a need to study the roles of this protein during the progression of obesity.

The purpose of this study is to examine whether whole-body balance taping therapy could contribute to take balance of all of the body and to decrease the pain. Data were collected from 20 people who received the treatments of physical therapy in one welfare center of Daegu city for four weeks from 6. Jan. 2003 to 7. Feb. 2003. A simple questionnaire and VAS for evaluation of a pain degree was used. And the Biomyth 7 was used to measure the whole-body balance and the sample exercise protocol for KAT 2000, which is a balance training device tool, was also used as an evaluation tool. The result of the study showed that balance level of human body was improved after receiving the whole-body balance taping therapy. Total, Right Left, Front, Back score of the balance level before the therapy was 1033.6, 656.1, 377.6, 639.9, 394.5 respectively. However, the scores of them after the therapy was decreased to 432.0(p<0.01), 293.2(p<0.01), 142.3, 287.7(p<0.05), 143.9(p<0.05) respectively. And the degree of pain before the therapy in the Back and Knee was 6.1, 6.7 respectively. However, the degree of the pain after the therapy was decreased to 3.1(p<0.01), 3.1(p<0.01) respectively. Further studies using case - control groups are required because this study only deal with the before-after test for the same group.

It has been believed that the human body can be effected by color, sound, smell, and taste - each of them is based on the original character. Out of these elements, the color can be a mediation that absorbs energy into human body and adapts it to the creatures whose life are definitely based on the solar energy. This thesis makes a study of the possibility of applying the color to the oriental medical science by researching the color psychology and therapy which are studied in the west medical science, the recognition and application of color developed from orientalism, and the opinion of color in the oriental medical science. Color therapy is one of the psychological treatment techniques that are able to recover and maintain the health with the rays of the sun rays and the color. The light and the color have its energy that may relax, harmonize, encourage, or excite a human being. This is because the wavelength and the vibration of each color will take effects to human body. The core energy of absorbing and distributing the color vibration is made in the 7 "chakras" in the body, which are the pith and marrow of bio-energy directly connected with the center of the nervous system. There are several methods in the color therapy - the treatment of solar ray, the color-bath, the water-therapy using color energy, the inducement of the solar energy into the body, the acupuncture, the therapy of crystal and jewel, and the self-suggestion dependent upon the color. The color therapy can help us to keep our balance by changing the emotion into the positive energy that will cure the disease with color. As a result, this method not only must be useful to cure physical disease, or develop into good health but also will be used in conforming itself to the mental disease. The color therapy mainly uses the eight colors, which are made by mixing Red, Yellow and Blue basic colors in the field. They are never used in the treatment, but they will go along with complementary colors. This rule is closely connected with the theory of yin and yang which lies at the root of oriental philosophy, and with the treatment principle of oriental medical science whose field is focused on the balancing the body mentally as well as physically. In the East, it is the Obangsaek - the color of blue, red, yellow, white, and black in the theory of yin and yang and the five elements that have been used in helping people having trouble with their health for a long time. In the view of the oriental medical science, these five colors attached the theory of five-elements have been very useful to the physiology, the pathology, or the diagnosis, and been applied to the medical treatment, combining themselves with a five-taste in medicinal herbs. Since the study of color and human physiology has been made in some different interest and fields these days, it goes to prove that the different function of color we couldn't have got before becomes very useful to the medical science. The color must be worth researching the diversity for applying itself to the oriental medical science.

A breast model was for the human body was devised by studying a body scan and human body index of a desirable breast type. Thus, when manufacturing various 3D models, these results can accordingly become a fundamental basis for realizing a desirable breast model. This study aims to provide a basic data for designing the cup patterns of brassieres in order to improve the function and wearing comfort. The comfort of three kinds of brassieres were compared: one manufactured by the actual measured size; another manufactured as per the ratio of desirable upper and lower breast lengths; and the third manufactured by the 3D model attained by the desirable human body ratio. In this study, we suggest a process for realizing the desirable breast model using the ratio of bust breadth and waist front length, which are the components for deciding the appropriate position and size of breast, and which are easy to measure. The ideal breast shape is an equilateral triangle formed by connecting the nipple with the center of the clavicle. After deciding the interval between the nipples, this value can be used to configure the locations of nipples by drawing a tangent, with equal length, from the anterior neck point (which is the center of clavicle) to the nipple. Also, since inside points of breast do not exist, the outer point of breast, upper point of breast, and below point of breast on the same plane, and the depths from the nipple point to the respective points, are applied to simulate a 3D image, by modifications along the x, y, and z axes. Depending on the type of breast, the length from the center of shoulder to the nipple, the diameter of breast, upper length of breast, and the position of nipple, are different. In conical or protruding breast, the wearing sensation is better when the nipple point of brassiere was lifted, by modifying the upper and lower lengths of breast. Considering the wearing sensation and function of a brassiere, it was better to leave the wearer's size as it is and use a pad within the same cup, rather than increase the basal area of the breast in order to increase the volume.

Background : The human being and the bacteria have accomplished a balance and have coexisted each other during long time. Probiotics have evolved with the human host to exist and the result they have operated profitably to human host. So it requires that the functions of probiotics are expounded in view of Traditional Korean Medicine. Aim : Suggest the functions of probiotics in view of Traditional Korean Medicine. Method : The author's research has been performed to review the related references. Results : Probiotics assist the absorption of the lactose, proteins and minerals and product several kinds of vitamins, organic acids. Probiotics suppresses the growth of noxious bacteria and the production of harmful substances or gases. They absorbed and discharge the bile acid, and thus help us maintain the optimal level of blood cholesterol concentration. They can reinforce the immune response of the mucous membrane and control the hypersensitivity immune reaction such as asthma, atopy on the other hand. Probiotics have right functions as above and so can be applied widely in treatment of various disease and symptom. Conclusion : Considering the functions of probiotics in view of Traditional Korean Medicine, they participate in our spleen-earth-system (digestion and synthesis) and liver-wood-system (regulation of digestion, metabolism, internal secretion etc.), assist the function of lung-metal system(respiration and regulation of water metabolism) and regulate wi-chi (reinforce/control immune system). Consequently, hereafter there would be a necessity of control a circumstance in treatment of various diseases under these categories that probiotics should be able to do their right functions inside the human body.

In the present study, the influence of car body structures to the noise and vibration characteristics has been sought. The numerical modal analysis for the body-in-white is employed to predict the vibratory response of structure, and then followed by the experimental modal testing to confirm the validity of the model. Using the results of numerical simulations with the designated modal parameters, the optimal structural configuration has been deduced. Special interests have been paid to the sensitivity of sound quality to the structural integrity. Since the structural integrity has a close relationship to the structure-born noise, the substantially low frequency range, which is far below the frequency range almost barely sensible by human auditory organ but still quite influential to overall impression, is especially examined. The subjective assessment agrees with the objective evaluation by means of traditional sound measures as well as psychoacoustic metrics.
