This study was a cross-sectional study done to determine the relevance and impact factors of critical thinking and nursing practice environment on clinical decision making among nurses. A survey was conducted for April 2017 with self-report questionnaire. Participants were 261 registered nurses working in one tertiary hospital. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and hierarchical regression analysis with SPSS/WIN(21.0). Factors affecting clinical decision making included age, educational background, position, work shift, clinical career. Clinical decision making had a positive correlation with critical thinking and nursing practice environment. And position, critical thinking and nursing practice environment accounted for 35.8% of the variance in clinical decision making. Therefore, quality management for developing nursing professionalism and administrative support for effective staffing and resource adequacy in addition improving critical thinking increase nurses'clinical decision making.
This study was attemted to grasp the factors affecting the clinical decision-making ability of nurse. Data were collected from 156 nurse working in hospital in G-do. Analysis was done using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and Multiple regression with IBM SPSS WIN/25.0. The most influential factor on the subjects' clinical decision-making ability was nursing Research 'very interest', critical thinking tendency, 'master/doctor', clinical experience 'more than 20 years and 1 month', moral behavior, nursing research 'important', 'single', clinical work experience '5 years, 1 month-10 years', department work experience '3 years 1 month-5 years'. The explanatory power was 51.4%. It was significant in that it was confirmed that interest and importance, moral behavior, academic background, and career are variables that influence clinical decision-making ability. The results of this study can be utilized as basic data for the development of intervention plans and programs that can increase clinical decision-making ability in the context of an ethical dilemma. In addition, developing and verifying educational programs that can increase clinical decision-making abilities in ethical dilemmas is needed.

Student-athletes identify themselves as athletes first and students second and experience identity foreclosure in which they rarely consider other possibilities for their career besides professional athletes. There is a gap between the career education that college student-athletes and regular students get, so we conducted this study to test the effectiveness of a career education program. The proposed career education program was based on Super and Ginsberg's career development theory and Holland's career choice theory. Data were collected from 13 college student-athletes using a pretest-posttest research design and analyzed using a t-test. The program was conducted in the form of 90-minute weekly sessions over 3 weeks. The program's effectiveness was measured in terms of participants' stress from a lack of career information, career preparedness, self-understanding, and career decision-making self-efficacy. The results showed that each variable, except stress from a lack of career information, was significantly improved after the program compared to before the program, indicating that the program was effective. Theoretical and practical implications regarding career education for student-athletes are discussed in this paper.
One of the important roles of medical schools is to support medical students in deciding upon their future career path or choosing their specialty. The purpose of this study is to suggest a career advising model and strategies for medical students through a systematic approach. This study consists of three parts. The first part introduces some main career theories: super's career development theory, career decision-making theory, social cognitive career theory, and ecosystem theory. The second part proposes a systematic career advising model using the results acquired from previous studies and theories. This model considers a medical school as a social system that consists of two domains (internal and external). This social system is considered as a complex where various factors interact with each other: students' individual characteristics, institutional policies and culture, curriculum and learning experience, students' perceived specialty characteristics, and aspects of the external environment such as healthcare systems. The third part suggests some career advising strategies based on a systematic approach that medical schools can apply. These research results can be used for designing career advising courses for medical students, integrating various career advising programs and resources of medical schools, and evaluating the outcomes of career advising programs at an institutional level.

The purposes of this study are to develop and apply the student activity centered career exploring program and to verify effectiveness on the students' career maturity level. The subjects of this study were 137 students. 4 classes of a middle school in Jinju. They were divided into two groups, the experimental group and the control group. For experiment, the career exploring program was input to the experimental group for 14 class hours. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The student activity centered career exploring program applied to the unit $\ulcorner$The Choice of Career and Job Morals$\lrcorner$ was effective in raising the attitude of the career maturity level. As the result of verifying the differences. there was a statistically significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in the planning quality and the attitude of works. 2. The student activity centered career exploring program applied to the unit $\ulcorner$The Choice of Career and Job Morals$\lrcorner$ was effective in raising the ability field of the career maturity level. The experimental group showed more statistically meaningful differences in the knowledge of jobs, the information exploring, and the self-understanding than the control group. Consequently. the effects of the student activity centered career exploring program on the career maturity level in the unit $\ulcorner$The Choice of Career and Job Morals$\lrcorner$. all the fields of the career maturity level showed the statistically meaningful differences except the independence quality of the attitude field and the decision making of the ability field. So it is concluded that the experiment program elevated the students' career maturity level. However. as the result of analysing independent sample t-test of the pre-test and the post-test. the program was ineffective in the independence quality and the decision making. When this career exploring program is applied to the unit $\ulcorner$The Choice of Career and Job Morals$\lrcorner$. it is recommended to strengthen the activities to cultivate the independence quality and the decision making power.

This study is to develop a web-based career guidance system to be a help making a decision on one's occupation, which is important for a person's life. As career development education for higher grades of elementary school aims at providing basic knowledge necessary for career choice and forming a basic attitude toward occupation and values, it is desirable to carry out the guidance of a variety of occupations on the basis of personal interest and aptitude of individual students. Previously, however, most studies have remained at the level where simply test results are notified. Therefore, the study administered a career development test fit for higher grades of elementary school who are at the stage of potential career choice and developed a web-based career guidance system in which suitable occupation types are advised of based on the results. Beyond notifying test results, the developed career guidance system presents 3 excellent intelligences, rather than converting test results into scores. Thus, it is expected that the system will help students understand their areas of excellent intelligence, efficiently study related occupation types and duties, and learn to have awareness and make a better decision in relation to their career.
Objective: This study aims to identify career decisions based on the variables associated with child care practice and to identify how each factor in the child care teacher's career decisions affects the prospective child care teacher's career decisions affects the prospective child care teacher's career decisions, and to what extent they are able to explain their career decisions to the prospective child care teacher. Methods: Data were analyzed through partial correlation and hierarchical regression. Results: Both the institutional and school variables involved in child care practices were found to have significant static implications for career decisions. The relative explanatory power of these variables has been shown to be significant in practical satisfaction. Conclusion/Implications: The results of the study that the practical satisfaction level, which is the institutional variable related to child care practice, significantly affects the career decisions of prospective child care teachers, recognize the importance of the child care practice in practical institutions where prospective child care teachers practice and suggest appropriate child care practice based on their understanding of the trainee.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of the participation in decisionmaking and expertise of staff nurses. The population for this study was the registered nurses(N=342) working in Chungnam and Chungbuk. The data were collected from April 26 to May 26, 1999. The survey instrument was Participation in Decision Activities Quesionnaire and Expertise scale developed by Anthony(1995), and Job Expertise scale of Van de Ven and Ferry. The results were as follows: 1) There was a significant difference for identification and design, and selection among the process of participation in decision making. 2) There was a significant difference between the participation in caregiving decisions and condition of work decisions. 3) (1) There was a significant difference among caregiving decisions between the expertise indicators and the variables such as education level. and the experience to told who is an expert. (2) There was a significant difference among condition of work decisions between the expertise indicators and the variables such as career, the spent keeping current per week, and self-rating of expertise.
The purpose of this study is to identify adult learners' decision making variables, satisfaction, and evaluation toward fashion education as a university lifelong education program. As decision making variables, this study included participation purpose, information source, and selection criteria for lifelong education center and program. Regarding satisfaction toward fashion education, this study included satisfaction toward program and satisfaction toward education condition and administrative services. Data were gathered by both questionnaires and focus group interview(FGI) with 12 adults who completed the program. While questionnaires were used for decision making variables and satisfaction, FGI was used for evaluation. Frequency was used to analyze the questionnaires and content analysis was used to analyze the results of FGI. The findings showed that respondents participated mostly because of hobby or interest and got information mostly from acquaintances. They regarded program contents as the selection criteria for lifelong education center. They also regarded lecturers' professionality as the selection criteria for the program and showed high satisfaction toward lecturers' passion. Regarding education condition and administrative services, they showed high satisfaction. FGI also showed the importance of individual competence, career development, a work-study program, a on-site study program, and lecturer. The results suggest methods to make university lifelong education programs more appealing to adults who want to attend universities for non-degree university programs.
This research verified the mediated effect between the level of satisfactory from extracurricular activities and the influence of perfectionism on self efficacy of career decisions. In order to test the theory, a total of 271 students were surveyed from Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Chungcheongnam-do. SPSS 21.0 was utilized to study the frequency analysis and technical statistics and a correlation analysis was performed to understand the relationship between major factors. Also, to test the mediated effect we used a recurrent analysis to perform a career analysis. The first result showed adoptable perfectionism affecting the students self efficacy in deciding a career by collecting information on jobs, setting a goal, planning and solving problems. Second, perfectionism influenced the satisfactory level of extracurricular activities. Third, the satisfaction of extracurricular activities acted as a partially mediated effect between the relationship of perfectionism and students self efficacy in deciding their career by collecting information on jobs, setting a goal, planning and solving problems. Therefore, this study indicates to be used as founding material and theoretical implications in order to develop programs to improve self efficacy in career choices for students.
