  • This paper introduces the design of a reduced order observer with unknown inputs for the purpose of fault detection and isolation(FDI) in a class of bilinear systems. To Analyze the observer and FDI, this paper uses BPF(block-pulse functions). The operational properties of BPF are much applied to the analysis of bilinear systems. The integral operational matrix BPF converts the form of the differential equation into the algebraic problems.

  • The infinite time optimum to regulate the problem of weakly coupled bilinear systems with a quadratic performance criterion is obtained by a sequence of algebraic Lyapunov equations. The new approach is based on the successive approximations. In particular, the order reduction is achieved by using suitable state transformation so that the original Lyapunov equations are decomposed into the reduced-order local Lyapunov equations. The proposed algorithms not only solve optimal control problems in the weakly coupled bilinear system but also reduce the computation time. This paper also includes an example to demonstrate the procedures.

연속적 Galerkin 근사를 이용한 정규 섭동 쌍일차 시스템에 대한 합성 제어 (Composite Control for Weakly Coupled Bilinear Systems with Successive Galerkin Approximation)

  • This paper presents the closed-loop composite control for weakly coupled bilinear systems with a quadratic performance criterion. The Riccati equation for weakly coupled bilinear system is decomposed into three reduced Riccati equations by the weak coupling theory, and we obtain optimal solutions of each reduced Riccati equation using successive Galerkin approximation(SGA). We design the composite control law that consists of optimal solutions of each reduced Riccati equation. The proposed algorithm reduces the disadvantages of SGA method.

  • NFC(Near Field Communication)는 10cm 이내의 거리에서 무선기기 간의 통신을 가능케 해주는 기술로 13.56 Mhz RF(Radio Frequency) 주파수 대역을 이용한 비접촉식 근거리 무선통신의 한 종류이다. 올해 출시되는 대부분의 스마트 폰에서 NFC 기능을 탑재하며, NFC기반의 모바일 결제 서비스가 가장 유망한 결제 방식으로 주목 받고 있다. 소비자는 NFC 모바일 단말기를 가지고 판매자의 POS(Point of Sale) 단말기와 근접 통신을 통해 결제를 진행하는 방식으로 다른 무선 통신 방식 (RFID, Bluetooth 등)보다 보안 취약성이 높지 않지만, 기존의 RFID 환경에서 일어날 수 있는 기술적 취약점과 비슷한 유형의 위협이 충분히 발생할 수 있으므로 유효한 보안 기술이 필요하다. 본 논문은 안전한 NFC 모바일 결제 환경을 구축하기 위한 공개키 알고리즘인 타원곡선 암호ECC(Elliptic Curve Cryptosystem)를 적용한 Bilinear Pairing을 활용해서 효율적이고 보안성도 강력한 인증 메커니즘을 제안한다.

  • This paper presents a digital modeling technique for the distributed parameter system. The basic idea of the proposed technique is to discretize a continuous system with respect to the spatial coordinate using the approximate methods such as bilinear method and backward difference method. The response of the discretized system is analyzed by Laplace transform and Z transform. The computational result of the proposed technique in a torsional shaft is compared with the exact solution and the result of the finite element method.

Input energy spectra and energy characteristics of the hysteretic nonlinear structure with an inerter system

  • The typical inerter system, the tuned viscous mass damper (TVMD), has been proven to be efficient. It is characterized by an energy-dissipation-enhancement effect, whereby the dashpot deformation of TVMD can be amplified for enhanced energy dissipation efficiency. However, existing studies related to TVMD have mainly been performed on elastic structures, so the working mechanism remains unclear for nonlinear structures. To deal with this, an energy-spectrum analysis framework is developed systematically for classic bilinear hysteretic structures with TVMD. Considering the soil effect, typical bedrock records are propagated through the soil deposit, for which the designed input energy spectra are proposed by considering the TVMD parameters and structural nonlinear properties. Furthermore, the energy-dissipation-enhancement effect of TVMD is quantitatively evaluated for bilinear hysteretic structures. The results show that the established designed input energy spectra can be employed to evaluate the total energy-dissipation burden for a nonlinear TVMD structure. Particularly, the stiffness of TVMD is the dominant factor in adjusting the total input energy. Compared with the case of elastic structures, the energy-dissipation-enhancement effect of TVMD for nonlinear structures is weakened so that the expected energy-dissipation effect of TVMD is replaced by the accumulated energy dissipation of the primary structure.

Improved Digital Redesign for Fuzzy Systems: Compensated Bilinear Transform Approach

  • This paper presents a new intelligent digital redesign (IDR) method via the compensated bilinear transformation to design the digital controller such that the digital fuzzy system is equivalent to the analog fuzzy system in the sense of the state-matching. This paper especially consider a multirate control scheme with a predictive feature, where the digital control input is held constant N times between the sampling points. More precisely, the multirate control scheme is proposed that utilizes a numerical integration scheme to approximately predict the current state from the state measured at the sampling points, the delayed measurements. For this system, the IDR conditions incorporated with stabilizability in the format of the linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) are derived. The superiority of the proposed technique is convincingly visualized through a numerical example.

  • Control Theory for continuous-time system has been well developed. Due to the development of computer technology, digital control scheme are employed in many areas. When delays are in control systems, it is hard to control the system efficiently. Delays by controller-to-actuator and sensor-to-controller deteriorate control performance and could possibly destabilize the overall system. In this paper, a new approximated discretization method and digital design for control systems with multiple state, input and output delays and a generalized bilinear transformation method with a tunable parameter are also provided, which can re-transform the integer time-delayed discrete-time model to its continuous-time model. Illustrative examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed method.

  • NEHRP 지반조건 B,C,D에서 이선형 단자유도 감쇠시스템의 지반조건, 후탄성기울기, 감쇠비, 항복강도 감소계수, 고유 주기 등의 변화가 비탄성변위비에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 기존의 제안식은 변위일정 법칙을 따라 일정주기 이상에서 비탄성 변위비를 과대평가하게 된다. 또한 기존식은 5%이상의 감쇠비에 대하여만 제안되었다. 본 연구는 후탄성기울기, 감쇠비 20% 이하의 이선형 시스템의 비탄성 변위비의 평균과 편차를 제안하였고 범용적으로 사용할 수 있음을 보였다. 제안식을 사용하여 비탄성 변위비의 확률적 분포를 계산하여 구조물의 성능기반설계에 이용할 수 있다.

Experimental study on impedance characteristics of a human upper link in a positioning motion

  • In this paper, we have examined the impedance characteristics of a tipper link of human being in a positioning motion. Firstly, we have shown the characteristics of the human arm using a bilinear model. From the bilinear model, we have observed that both the driving torque of the forearm and the visco-elasticity of the elbow joint can be controlled by muscles, respectively. Then, we have defined several indexes to show the impedance characteristics. Using the proposed indexes, we have examined the impedance characteristics in the positioning operation. As a result, we can not observe the difference of the impedance characteristics, even if the ease of the positioning motion is varied.
