Synthesis and Characteristic of Polythiophene Containing Electron Withdrawing Group (Electron Withdrawing Group을 함유한 Polythiophene의 합성과 특성에 관한 연구)

  • 3-(2-benzotriazolovinyl)thiophene (BVT) was synthesized by the connection of the thiophene with the electron-withdrawing group, benzotriazole, through the vinylene. Its structure was confirmed by FT-IR, $^1H$-NMR, $^{13}C$-NMR and 2D hetero-cosy spectroscopy. Both BVT and 3-octylthiophene (OT) were copolymerized and showed an average molecular weight of 12000 (PDI 2.67) and 15000 (PDI 2.55), respectively. The copolymers were dissolved in the organic solvent such as chloroform, THF, TCE, etc. The mole ratios of BVT and OT in the synthesized copolymers were confirmed as 1 : 1.8 and 1 : 2.8 from $^1H$-NMR spectra. The UV-vis maximum absorption of copolymers appeared at the wavelength of 470 nm and 465 nm and the photoluminescence at ${\lambda}_{max}$ = 662 nm and 641 nm correspond to red-orange light. The band gaps of copolymers at 1.96 eV and 2.02 eV were found to be higher than those of poly(3-octylthiophene). The HOMO energy levels of the copolymers decreased overall in comparison with those of poly(3-octylthiophene), but the overall LUMO energy level increased.

  • The gold crown unearthed from the ancient tombs at Imdang-dong, Kyongsan-gun, Kyongsangbuk-do was in a state of severe corrosion that its original pattern couldn't be identified. Therefore, for the conservation of the relics, the following methods are employed :1. With 10% formic acid are used for the elimination of the bronze-rust and then plated them with gold.2. As a rust-proof treatment, 1% Benzotriazole is used for stem corrosion as well3. For protection and reinforcement of the surface of the relics, 30% incralac agentsare used.4. Pieces of fragments are bonded together by cyanoacrylate and on the backside are coated partially with Araldite for the reinforcement of the glass-wool.5. Silica-gels are kept into the acryl box for perfect maintenance.

  • Cleaning is required following CMP (chemical mechanical planarization) to remove particles. The minimization of particle residue is required with each successive technology generation, and the cleaning of wafers becomes more complicated. In copper damascene process for interconnection structure, it utilizes 2-step CMP consists of Cu and barrier CMP. Such a 2-steps CMP process leaves a lot of abrasive particles on the wafer surface, cleaning is required to remove abrasive particles. In this study, the chemical mechanical cleaning(CMC) is performed various conditions as a cleaning process. The CMC process combined mechanical cleaning by friction between a wafer and a pad and chemical cleaning by CMC solution consists of tetramethyl ammonium hydroxide (TMAH) / benzotriazole (BTA). This paper studies the removal of abrasive on the Cu wafer and the cleaning efficiency of CMC process.

  • Recently, mixture insulating oils is widely used in respect that the physical and the electrical properties is more excellentthan mineral oils, such as alkylbenzene oils and silicone oils, and that cost is lower than alkylbenzene oils or silicone oils. Also, it is important to research for the additive BTA(Benzotriazole) as a study for the phenomena of streaming electrification of mineral oils. So, mixture insulating oils class 7-2, is selected as a specimen in this experiments, and the contents of BTA in specimen are 0.2[ppm], 10[ppm] and 30[ppm], respectively. Then, the physical and the electrical properties for each specimen is made researches.

  • The protection for copper tarnish was developed by surface treatment method and volatile corrosion inhibiting (VCI) technology. The performance of surface treatment and VCI material is also examined in simulated test environment. Benzotriazole (BTAH) solution that contained molybdate showed best performance than others. Usage of VCI materials with surface treatment was more effective. The protection film foamed on the surface of copper was investigated by auger electron spectroscopy (AES) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Molybdate does not participate in the formation of the protective film but promotes the passivation effect. This facilitates the stabilization of the cuprous oxide film, and strengthens the adsorption of BTAH.

  • The electrical properties due to the Benzotriazole(following as BTA) additive in fluids for insulating and cooling the ultra-high voltage transformer is studied in this paper. Specimen having the several contents of BTA, such as 5[ppm]. 10[ppm] and 30[ppm] is used in order to investigate the characteristics on volume resistivity in case of fluid flow in experimental device made in lab. Volume resistivity is decreased with an increase of fluid flow velocity and increased with BTA content in low temperature region, but volume resistivity of specimen contained BTA 10[ppm] is the largest thing over $30[^{\circ}C]{\sim}50[^{\circ}C]$ than the others in experiment.

  • The static charges are generated by streaming electrification phenomena in insulating oil flowing by force for the purpose of cooling at the internal of Ultra-high power transformer. In this thesis, their elimination method was studied. In this paper the effect of Additive on the electric conductivity of Insulating oil is studied. The variation of electric conductivity disappear when Additive is molten in insulating oil BTA(Benzotriazole) appear more variation of electric conductivity than that of SP-S10(Sorbitan mono-stearate). But the variation is not enough to decrease streaming electrification of insulating oil($\sigma$>10$\^$-12/[S/cm]).

  • In this paper, the physical and electrical properties of the synthetic fluids No. 2 class Ⅶ used the insulating oils for automobile ignition coil are studied. Also, benzotriazole(BTA) as the streaming electrification suppressant additive is added to the oil, and the change of physical and electrical properties due to different BTA concentration is investigated. To investigate the electrical characteristics, the breakdown strength of each specimen by an experiment for AC breakdown and the changes of conductivity by measuring volume resistivity are analyzed. It is considered that the effective content of BTA as charge suppressant additive is about 10[ppm] from the results of AC breakdown and volume resistivity test.

  • The electrical breakdown characteristics of the synthetic fluids No.2 of KS class VII used for insulating and cooling the materials for the ignition coil are studied. Also, Benzotriazole(BTA) as the streaming electrification suppressant additive is added to the oil, and the change of electrical properties due to different BTA concentration is investigated. To investigate the electrical characteristics, the breakdown strength of each specimen by an experiment for AC breakdown are analyzed. The breakdown strength of specimen by adding BTA is higher than virgin specimen in low e region, but lower than that in high region because of melting BTA. It is considered that the effective content of BTA as charge suppressant additive is about 10[ppm] from the results of AC breakdown.
