This paper presents a balanced 3/1 supply scheme for electric railway. By employing an active filter, the current of the three-phrase delivery system is balanced while the load is single phrase, which makes it possible for the traction system to behave like a pure-resistance load, with unity power factor and no harmonics. Simulation results are present to verify the scheme's topology and control strategies.

In this paper, partial diallel crosses designs are proposed. These designs for estimating general combining abilities are constructed by using m-associate class partially balanced incomplete block designs. Also, the efficiency of the partially diallel crosses designs obtained through this method is reported in table.

A new method for relative error continuous and discrete time model order reduction is proposed. The reduction technique is based on two recently developed methods, namely frequency domain balanced truncation within a frequency bound and inner-outer factorization techniques. The proposed method is of interest for practical model order reduction because in this context it shows to keep the accuracy of the approximation as high as possible without sacrificing the computational efficiency. Numerical results show the accuracy and efficiency enhancement of the method.

A new method is developed for estimating the mean of a population which has a linear trend. The suggested estimator is based on the balanced systematic sampling method and the concept of interpolation and extrapolation. The efficiency of the proposed method is compared with that of conventional methods.

4개의 프리즘으로 구성된 군속도분산 조절장치를 이용하여 CPM 링 색소 레이저에서 62fs의 펄스를 얻었다. Ar+ 레이저 출력, DODCI 농도 및 위치, 프리즘과 레이저 거울의 조정상태를 변화시켜 가며 레이저 펄스폭을 측정해서 가장 짧은 펄스폭을 얻을 수 있는 조건을 구했다.

A highly efficient and compactly integrated balanced power amplifier (PA) for W-CDMA handset applications is presented. To overcome the size limit of a typical balanced PA, a bulky input divider is integrated into a PA MMIC, and a complex output network is replaced with simple lumped-element networks. For efficiency improvement at the low output power level, one of the two amplifiers in parallel is deactivated and the other is partially operated with corresponding load impedance optimization. The implemented PA shows excellent average current consumption of 34.5 mA in urban and 56.3 mA in suburban environments, while exhibiting very good load-insensitivity under condition of VSWR=4:1.

Almost all injection molds have multi-cavity runner system for mass production, which are designed with geometrically balanced runner system in order to accomplish filling balance between cavity to cavity during processing. However, even though geometrically balanced runner is used, filling imbalance have been observed. Filling imbalance could be decreased by modifying processing conditions such as injections rate, mold temperature, injection pressure, melt temperature that are related to shear, viscosity. In this study, a series of experiment was conducted to investigate filling imbalance variation when modifying runner layout and ploymer and to determine which processing condition influences as the primary cause of filling imbalance in geometrically balanced runner system. The filling imbalance was desreased up to result range of $3{\leq}DFI{\leq}8(%)$ by using a new runner system for balanced filling.

The two-way balanced one-level rotation design, $r_1^m-r_2^{m-1}$, and the three-way balanced multi-level rotation design, $r_1^m(\iota)-r_1^{m-1}$, were discussed (Park et al., 2001, 2003). Although these rotation designs enjoy balancing properties, they have a restriction of $r_2=c{\cdot}r_1$ (c should be a integer value) which interferes with applying these designs freely to various situations. To overcome this difficulty, we extend the $r_1^m(\iota)-r_1^{m-1}$ design to new one under the most general rotation system. The new multi-level rotation design also satisfies tree-way balancing which is done on interview time, rotation group and recall time. We present the rule and rotation algorithm which guarantee the three-way balancing. In particular, we specify the necessary condition for the extended three-way balanced multi-level rotation sampling design.
