A Study on the Grinding Characteristics using Automatic Balancer (Automatic Balancer를 이용한 연삭특성 연구)

  • Grinding machine rotating at high speed express the unbalance by the spindle and the weight of grinding wheel. Therefore, the parts requiring a precision processing for grinding machine need acutely to establish of automatic balancer. But the more wheel speed increases the more vibration amplitude increases, surface roughness show the satisfactory according to increase of the wheel speed. Surface roughness of the occasion installing the automatic balancer made better than an occasion no installing the automatic balancer.

  • Currently SCADA System faces various fault situation. Operator must recognize all fault state and management plans. But it is not easy to recognize all category and acquired error data. So it is needed that automatic fault estimation. Automatic fault estimation is possible to data flow control. Data flow control method is two type. One is alarm processing and the other one is topology processing. This paper provide two type processing method in SCADA data flow control.

  • Material handling equipment such as container cranes and transtainer cranes have made larger and faster to improve the efficiency of container handling. As conditions of use in container terminal have become severe, and also the automation level required has become higher. For the high level automation for transtainer crane, the following characteristics have to be developed 1) Container Terminal Operation & Planning System with high efficiency. 2)Autosteering System of transtainer crane with precise position sensing system using image processing and feedback control system. 3)Automatic Position Identification System with transponder. We have developed an AGSS(Automatic Gantry Steering System) of transtainer crane with image processing technology preferentially. In this paper, the system will be introduced.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop an automatic measuring system based on the digital image processing which can be applied to the in-process measurment of the characteristics of the thin thickness. The derivative operators is used for edge detection in gray level image. This concept can be easily illustrated with the aid of object shows an image of a simple light object on a dark background, the gray level profile along a horizontal scan line of the image, and the first and second derivatives of the profile. The first derivative of an edge modeled in this manner is 0 in all regions of constant gray level, and assumes a constant value during a gray level transition. The experimental results indicate that the developed automatic inspection system can be applied in real situation.

A BERT-Based Automatic Scoring Model of Korean Language Learners' Essay

  • This research applies a pre-trained bidirectional encoder representations from transformers (BERT) handwriting recognition model to predict foreign Korean-language learners' writing scores. A corpus of 586 answers to midterm and final exams written by foreign learners at the Intermediate 1 level was acquired and used for pre-training, resulting in consistent performance, even with small datasets. The test data were pre-processed and fine-tuned, and the results were calculated in the form of a score prediction. The difference between the prediction and actual score was then calculated. An accuracy of 95.8% was demonstrated, indicating that the prediction results were strong overall; hence, the tool is suitable for the automatic scoring of Korean written test answers, including grammatical errors, written by foreigners. These results are particularly meaningful in that the data included written language text produced by foreign learners, not native speakers.

  • In this paper vector code correlation(VCC) method and an algorithm to promote the image processing performance in building an effective measurement system using cameras are described for automatically berthing and controlling the ship equipped with side thrusters. In order to realize automatic ship berthing, it is indispensable that the berthing assistant system on the ship should continuously trace a target in the berth to measure the distance to the target and the ship attitude, such that we can make the ship move to the specified location. The considered system is made up of 4 apparatuses compounded from a CCD camera, a camera direction controller, a popular PC with a built in image processing board and a signal conversion unit connected to parallel port of the PC. The object of this paper is to reduce the image processing time so that the berthing system is able to ensure the safety schedule against risks during approaching to the berth. It could be achieved by composing the vector code image to utilize the gradient of an approximated plane found with the brightness of pixels forming a certain region in an image and verifying the effectiveness on a commonly used PC. From experimental results, it is clear that the proposed method can be applied to the measurement system for automatic ship berthing and has the image processing time of fourfold as compared with the typical template matching method.

  • The processes of manufacturing FRP sewage disposal tanks are very dangerous and hazardous jobs for workers because of large size and heavy weight of the tank, toxic fiberglass dust, nasty smell, and dangerous tools such as hand-grinders. This paper introduces an automatic manufacturing system of the FRP sewage disposal tank to enhance the safety of workers. The system consists of 3 components: the FRP body rotation jig, the automatic manhole cutting machine, the automatic sanding processing machine. The safety of workers and working environment are greatly improved, because the dangerous jobs are automatized and the toxic fiberglass dust is automatically collected. Also, the productivity is greatly improved and the cost is reduced.

  • We introduces a development result of semi-automatic karyotyping system using image processing method to improve a long time working of the manual method and 5% error of traditional automatic karyotying system for analyzing karyotying. The karyotyping procedures have many routine tasks such as searching metaphases, taking pictures, developing, editing, etc. There are several automatic karyotyping systems in order to reduce the task in advanced countries. However, they are very expensive, applicable to only human chromosome, and have too many functions to use easily. This paper takes aim at high quality image resolution and development of interface that can adjust brightness and contrast of image on-line. The system can be applied to animal and plants as well as human's chromosome. The system developed in this paper is applied to pig and human. The effectiveness of the system is proved by hospitals in Korea.
