쌍이방성 기판에 쌍이방성 덮개층을 갖는 원통형 마이크로스트립안테나의 방사특성 (Radiation Characteristics of the Bianisotropic Superstrate-Loaded Microstrip Antenna on Cylindrical Bianisotropic Substrates)

  • 원통형 쌍이방성 기판위에 부착된 다이폴의 방사특성이 쌍이방성 덮개층에 의해서 받는 영향에 대해 연구하였다. 매질의 쌍이방성 특성을 나타내기 위해 특별한 구성관계식이 사용되었고, 이 관계식을 그린함수로 유도하였다. 주파수 영역에서의 전자장과 경계조건을 이용하여 주파수 표현 형태의 그린 함수를 구한 다음 주파수 영역에서의 전계를 무한 원점에서의 근사식을 이용하여 퓨리에 역변환은 통해 공간 영역에서의 전계를 구하였다. 이 전계로부터, 원통형 쌍이방성 기판위에 덮개층을 갖는 다이폴의 방사특성을 구하였다.

Mini Neutron Monitors at Concordia Research Station, Central Antarctica

  • Two mini neutron monitors are installed at Concordia research station (Dome C, Central Antarctica, $75^{\circ}06^{\prime}S$, $123^{\circ}23^{\prime}E$, 3,233 m.a.s.l.). The site has unique properties ideal for cosmic ray measurements, especially for the detection of solar energetic particles: very low cutoff rigidity < 0.01 GV, high elevation and poleward asymptotic acceptance cones pointing to geographical latitudes > $75^{\circ}S$. The instruments consist of a standard neutron monitor and a "bare" (lead-free) neutron monitor. The instrument operation started in mid-January 2015. The barometric correction coefficients were computed for the period from 1 February to 31 July 2015. Several interesting events, including two notable Forbush decreases on 17 March 2015 and 22 June 2015, and a solar particle event of 29 October 2015 were registered. The data sets are available at cosmicrays.oulu.fi and nmdb.eu.

2축하중을 받는 직교이방성체내 경사균열진전의 해석 (Analysis of Inclined Crack Extension in Orthotropic Solids Under Biaxial Loading)

  • The objective of this work is to develop the capability to analyze accurately the mixed-mode propagation of a crack in composite structures with elastic orthotropic material stiffness properties and anisotropic material strength characteristics. In order to develop the capability to fully analyze fracture growth and failure in anisotropic structures, we examined the fundamental problem of mixed mode fracture by carrying out the analysis on orthotropic materials with an inclined crack subject to biaxial loading. Our goal here is to include an additional term in the asymptotic expansion of the crack tip stress field and to show that the direction of crack initiation can be significantly affected by that term. We employ the normal stress ratio theory to predict the direction of crack extension. It is shown that the angle of crack extension can be altered by horizontal loads and the use of second order term in the series expansion is important f3r the accurate determination of crack growth direction.

비동질 탄성 무한공간에 대한 비례경계유한요소법의 동적강도행렬 (Dynamic Stiffness of the Scaled Boundary Finite Element Method for Non-Homogeneous Elastic Space)

  • 본 논문에서는 비동질 탄성무한공간에 대한 비례경계유한요소법의 동적강도행렬을 해석적으로 유도하였다. 해석영역의 비동질성은 비동질파라메터를 지수로 하는 멱함수로 고려하였다. 동적강도행렬은 진동수영역에서 다항식으로 점근전개한 후, 방사조건을 만족시키도록 하여 각 다항식의 계수를 구하는 과정을 통하여 유도되었다. 얻어진 동적강도행렬의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 정확해가 알려져 있는 대표적인 문제에 대하여 비동질파라메터의 값을 변화시키면서 수치해석을 수행하였다. 그 결과 유도된 동적강도행렬이 비동질공간에 대한 특성을 적절하게 반영하는 것으로 나타났다.

$K_s$-band luminosity evolution of AGB populations based on star clusters in the Large Magellanic Cloud

  • We present a study of the asymptotic giant branch (AGB) contribution to the total Ks band luminosity of star clusters in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) as a function of age. AGB stars, a representative intermediate-age population, are a strong source of NIR to MIR emission so that they are a critical component for understanding the near-to-mid infrared observation of galaxies. Current calibration of IR emission in evolutionary population synthesis (EPS) models for galaxies is mainly based on a small number of LMC star clusters. However, each LMC star cluster with intermediate age contains only a few AGB stars so that it suffers from a stochastic effect. Therefore a large number of them are needed for solid calibration of the EPS models. We study physical properties of a large number of LMC star clusters to estimate the Ks band luminosity fraction of AGB stars in star clusters as a function of age. We discuss the stochastic effect in calibrating models, and the importance of this calibration for studying the evolution of not only nearby galaxies but also of high-z galaxies.

경계요소법에 의한 이방성 이종재 접합계면 균열의 응력확대계수 해석 (Analysis of Stress Intensity Factors for an Interface Crack in Anisotropic Dissimilar Materials by Boundary Element Method)

  • Up to now, most studies are on interface crack problems in isotropic-isotropic dissimilar materials, but it seems to be not so much on anisotropic dissimlar materials. In this study, the stress intensity factors for an interface crack in anisotropic dissimilar materials are analysed using author's proposed extrapolation method by BEM and we have done a parametric study about material properties or shapes of crack affecting to the stress intensity factors. However, as there are not other's comparable numerical results on these anisotropic dissimilar materials to the best of author's knowledge, the reliability of the present results was proved by following two methods. The first is considering the asymptotic characteristic about stress intensity factors for an interface crack in anisotropic materials when the ansiotropic material approachs to the isotropic material. The second is considering the discontinuity of stress intensity factors between of a crack in an identical homogeneous anisotropic material and an interface crack in anisotropic dissimilar materials.

유체상과 변형율속도를 고려한 해면골의 거동해석 (Behavior of trabecular bone considered by fluid phase and strain rate)

  • The pressure variation of interstitial fluid is one of the most important factors in bone physiology. In order to understand the role of interstitial fluid and the biomechanical interactions between fluid and solid constituents within bone, poroelastic theory was applied. The purpose of this study is to describe the behavior of calf vertebral trabecular bone composed of the porous solid trabeculae and the viscous bone marrow by using a commercial finite element analysis program based on the poroelasticity. In this study, the model was numerically tested for 5 different strain rates, i. e., 0.001, 0.01, 0.1, 1.0, and 10 per second. The material properties of the calf vertebral trabecular bone were utilized from the previous experimental study. Two asymptotic poroelastic response, the drained and undrained deformation, were predicted. From the predicted results for the simulated five strain rate, it was found that the pore pressure generation has a linearly increasing behavior when the strain rate is the highest at 10 per second, other wise it showed a nonlinear the strain rate Increased. Based on the results of the present study, it was suggested that the calf vertebral trabecular bone could be modeled as a porous material and its strain rate dependent material behavior could be predicted.

군집의 크기가 생존시간에 영향을 미치는 군집 구간중도절단된 자료에 대한 준모수적 모형 (Modeling Clustered Interval-Censored Failure Time Data with Informative Cluster Size)

  • 본 논문에서는 군집 구간중도절단된 자료에서 생존시간이 군집의 크기에 의존할 때 주변모형으로부터 가중 추정 방법과 군집 내 재추출 방법을 써서 모수를 추정하고 그 추정량의 점근적 성질을 살펴보았다. 모의실험을 통해 추정량의 편향의 크기와 신뢰구간의 포함율 측면에서 볼 때 제안한 두 추정 방법이 생존시간과 군집의 크기 간의 종속 관계를 무시한 방법보다 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 제안한 추정 방법을 림프성 사상충 자료에 적용한 결과에 따르면 서로 다른 두 치료방법이 유의하게 다르지 않았으며 나이 효과도 매우 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 연구에서는 생체조직의 흡수계수와 산란계수를 비침습적으로 측정하는 방법에 관하여 연구하였다. 피코초 영역의 펄스폭을 갖는 레이저광으로 조직을 조사하고 산란반사된 빛을 시간상관 단일 광자 계수법을 이용하여 피코초 시간영역에서 측정하였다. 측정된 시간분해 반사율의 최대치에 이르는 시간 및 나중소멸부분의 점근선의 기울기로부터 계산되는 값과 디컨블루션방법에 의한 곡선맞춤으로 얻은 값을 비교하여 서로 잘 일치함을 확인하였다. 매질의 산란이 커질수록 흡수가 작을수록 근사식은 더 잘 맞으므로 가시광선부터 근적외선의 파장영역에서 흡수에 비해 산란이 매우 큰 생체조직의 광특성을 비침습적으로 측정하는 중요한 방법이 될 수 있다.

Vibrations of an axially accelerating, multiple supported flexible beam

  • In this study, the transverse vibrations of an axially moving flexible beams resting on multiple supports are investigated. The time-dependent velocity is assumed to vary harmonically about a constant mean velocity. Simple-simple, fixed-fixed, simple-simple-simple and fixed-simple-fixed boundary conditions are considered. The equation of motion becomes independent from geometry and material properties and boundary conditions, since equation is expressed in terms of dimensionless quantities. Then the equation is obtained by assuming small flexural rigidity. For this case, the fourth order spatial derivative multiplies a small parameter; the mathematical model converts to a boundary layer type of problem. Perturbation techniques (The Method of Multiple Scales and The Method of Matched Asymptotic Expansions) are applied to the equation of motion to obtain approximate analytical solutions. Outer expansion solution is obtained by using MMS (The Method of Multiple Scales) and it is observed that this solution does not satisfy the boundary conditions for moment and incline. In order to eliminate this problem, inner solutions are obtained by employing a second expansion near the both ends of the flexible beam. Then the outer and the inner expansion solutions are combined to obtain composite solution which approximately satisfying all the boundary conditions. Effects of axial speed and flexural rigidity on first and second natural frequency of system are investigated. And obtained results are compared with older studies.
