  • The research on data mining that can manage a large amount of information efficiently has grown with the drastic increment of information. Privacy-preserving data mining can protect the privacy of data owners. There are several privacy-preserving association rule, clustering and classification protocols. A privacy-preserving association rule protocol is used to find association rules among data, which is often used for marketing. In this paper, we propose a privacy-preserving k-bits inner product protocol based on Shamir's secret sharing.

  • Oxidative stress, which results in an excessive product of reactive oxygen species (ROS), is one of the fundamental mechanisms of the development of hypertension. In the vascular system, ROS have physical and pathophysiological roles in vascular remodeling and endothelial dysfunction. In this study, ROS-hypertension-related genes were collected by the biological literature-mining tools, such as SciMiner and gene2pubmed, in order to identify the genes that would cause hypertension through ROS. Further, single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) located within these gene regions were examined statistically for their association with hypertension in 6,419 Korean individuals, and pathway enrichment analysis using the associated genes was performed. The 2,945 SNPs of 237 ROS-hypertension genes were analyzed, and 68 genes were significantly associated with hypertension (p < 0.05). The most significant SNP was rs2889611 within MAPK8 (p = $2.70{\times}10^{-5}$; odds ratio, 0.82; confidence interval, 0.75 to 0.90). This study demonstrates that a text mining approach combined with association analysis may be useful to identify the candidate genes that cause hypertension through ROS or oxidative stress.

  • Outcome-based education (OBE) is a tried-and-true teaching technique based on a set of predetermined goals. Program Educational Objectives (PEOs), Program Outcomes (POs), and Course Outcomes (COs) are the components of OBE. At the end of each year, the Program Outcomes are evaluated, and faculty members can submit many recommended measures which dependent on the relationship between the program outcomes and its courses outcomes to improve the quality of program and hence the overall educational program. When a vast number of courses are considered, bad actions may be proposed, resulting in unwanted and incorrect decisions. In this paper, a recommender system, using collaborative filtering and association rules algorithms, is proposed for predicting the best relationship between the program outcomes and its courses in order to improve the attributes of the graduates. First, a parallel algorithm is used for Collaborative Filtering on Data Model, which is designed to increase the efficiency of processing big data. Then, a parallel similar learning outcomes discovery method based on matrix correlation is proposed by mining association rules. As a case study, the proposed recommender system is applied to the Computer Information Systems program, College of Computer Sciences and Information Technology, Al-Baha University, Saudi Arabia for helping Program Quality Administration improving the quality of program outcomes. The obtained results revealed that the suggested recommender system provides more actions for boosting Graduate Attributes quality.

  • Recently, there are many research of datamining. On the transaction dataset, association rules is made by finding of interesting patterns. A part of mining, sub-structure mining is increased in interest of and applied to many high technology. But graph mining has more computing time then itemset mining. Therefore, that need efficient way for avoid duplication. GASTON is best algorithm of duplication free. This paper analyze GASTON and expect the future work.

  • This study compared the Center for Children's Foodservice Management in 2012, 2014, and 2016 using big data and opinion mining. The data on the Center for Children's Foodservice Management were collected from the portal site, Naver, from January 1 to December 31 in 2012, 2014, & 2016 and analyzed by keyword frequency analysis, influx route analysis of data, polarity analysis via opinion mining, and positive and negative keyword analysis by polarity analysis. The results showed that nursery had the highest rank every year and education supported by Center for Children's Foodservice Management has increased significantly. The influx of data has increased through the influx route analysis of data. Blog and $caf\acute{e}e$, which have a considerable amount of information by the mother should be helpful for use as public relations and participation recruitment paths. By polarity analysis using opinion mining, the positive image of the Center for Children's Foodservice Management was increased. Therefore, the Center for Children's Foodservice Management was well-suited to the purpose and the interests of the people has been increasing steadily. In the near future, the Center for Children's Foodservice Management is expected have good recognition if various programs to participate with family are developed and advertised.

  • The purpose of the paper is to apply a Data Mining method to Data Base System for more efficient educational data used in elementary and secondary education. First, this study investigated the whole contents of Data Mining and technique relation to Machine Learning. Mainly Data Base Systems in education are general life checking, record of health, and score reports. We suggested Data Mining method and Machine Learning when we search for information of usefulness in a particular representational form or a set of such representations in data. Also, we propose the problem and the solution when using data mining techniques in education.

  • Recently, studies about process mining for creating and analyzing business process models from log data have received much attention from BPM (Business Process Management) researchers. Process mining is a kind of method that extracts meaningful information and hidden rules from the event log of enterprise information systems such as ERP and BPM. In this paper, repair processes of electronic devices are analyzed using ProM which is a process mining tool. And based on the analysis of repair processes, the method for finding major failure patterns is proposed by multi-dimensional data analysis beyond simple statistics. By using the proposed method, the reliability of electronic device can be increased by providing the identified failure patterns to design team.

  • Freediving, an underwater leisure sport that involves diving without the use of a breathing apparatus, has gained popularity among younger demographics through the viral spread of images and videos on social media platforms. This study employs prominent Big Data analysis techniques, including text mining, Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic analysis, and opinion mining to explore the keywords associated with freediving suits over the past five years. The research aims to analyze the rapidly evolving market trends of freediving suits and the increasingly complex and diverse consumer perceptions to provide foundational data for activating the freediving suit market and developing strategies for sustained growth. The study identified the keyword 'size' related to freediving suits and conducted opinion mining on 'freediving suit sizes'. Although the results showed a higher positive than negative sentiment, negative keywords were also extracted, indicating the need to understand and mitigate the negative factors associated with 'size'. The findings offer vital guidelines for the advancement of the freediving suit market and enhancing consumer satisfaction. This study is important as it contributes foundational data for continuous growth strategies of the freediving suit market.

  • Data Mining is widely used to discover knowledge in many fields. Although there are many methods to discover association rule, most of them are based on frequency-based approaches. Therefore it is not appropriate for stream environment. Because the stream environment has a property that event data are generated continuously. it is expensive to store all data. In this paper, we propose a new method to discover association rules based on stream environment. Our new method is using a variable window for extracting data items. Variable windows have variable size according to the gap of same target event. Our method extracts data using COBJ(Count object) calculation method. FPMDSTN(Frequent pattern Mining over Data Stream using Terminal Node) discovers association rules from the extracted data items. Through experiment, our method is more efficient to apply stream environment than conventional methods.

  • Huge information has been made due to the current computing environment and could not be acceptable. People want the information which they can understand and accept easily. They may want not only simple information but also knowledge. That is why data mining becomes a center of information. We use RFM analysis in order to create customer score. Customers are classified into five groups(most oxcellenrexcellenycommoflowerilowest) for a various marketing activities. We can found the significant patterns in each group, and classify customers from loyal customers to leaving customers in the near future by the indirect data mining(e.g. association analysis) and the direct data mining(e.g. decision tree, logistic regression analysis, etc.), which are named in this study. Our research focuses on the advanced models by applying the association rules in data mining. Our results indicate that the indirect data mining and the direct data mining seem to have same outputs, but the former shows more clear pattern then the latter one.
