A Development of Assessment Model for Maintenance of Type R Fire Alarm System in the Building

  • Type R fire alarm is required intelligent buildings and height buildings which was based on automatic system. But in Korea, maintenance of fire alarm system is very poor. In this study, we developed assessment model for the type R fire alarm system which was assessed by using 96 checklist items. The assessment model was tested through the actual 4 buildings with type R fire alarm system. It is shown that present model can be applied for the assessment of all buildings through the examination of the suitability of assessment model by actual assessment. Also, it was made easily fire manager to carry out checklist for type R fire alarm system in buildings.

초등 과학 포트폴리오 평가와 다른 과학 평가 방법 간의 상관관계 분석 (An Analysis of Correlations Between Portfolio Assessment and Other Assessment Methods in Elementary School Science)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the measuring range of portfolio assessment on students' abilities, using correlation coefficients of portfolio assessment with four other assessment methods. A portfolio system was developed based on low units of elementary fourth grade science, and applied to three fourth-grade science classes in Daejeon Metropolitan area and Gyunggi-do. Four different assessment methods, multiple-choice (short answer type), essay-type item, mind-mapping and laboratory assessment were also administered and scored by two elementary teachers attending graduate school. Correlation coefficients between portfolio assessment and four assessment methods were calculated with SPSS. Portfolio assessment showed moderate correlation with multiplechoice (short answer), essay-type, and mind-mapping, and low correlation with laboratory assessment. Portfolio assessment showed high correlation with multiple-choice assessment in 'understanding' and 'application' domains, but showed low correlation in 'recall' and 'inquiry' domains. In conclusion, portfolio assessment could measure various abilities measured by other assessment methods.

대안적인 평가를 통한 수학교육 (Alternative Assessment in Mathematics Education)

  • The purpose of this study is to define the altenative assessment and to suggest the method of scoring system. Alternative assessment includes any type of assessment in which student create reponses to a question rather than choosing a responses form given list( as for multiple choice, true/false, or matching). Alternative assessment can includes short answer questions, essay, performances, oral presentation, demonstrations, exhibitions, portfolios, and etc. To evaluate the each type of assessment, we can apply the method of holistic scoring and analytic scoring system. Also we have to concern the type of scoring mechanism directly relate to what we want to assess, our purpose for assessment fitting into the educational enterprise. Before applying the alternative assessment in our classroom, we need to step back and reconsider all our design features and teachers' responsibility.

장기입원 의료급여 환자의 재원일수에 미치는 영향요인: 요양병원 입원유형 중심으로 (Factors Affecting the Length of Stay of Long-Stay Medical Aid Inpatients in Korea: Focused on Hospitalization Types in Long-Term Care Hospitals)

  • Background: In Korea, the length of stay and medical expenses incurred by medical aid patients are increasing at a rate faster than the national health insurance. Therefore, there is a need to create a management strategy for each type of hospitalization to manage the length of stay of medical aid patients. Methods: The study used data from the 2019 National Health Insurance Claims. We analyzed the factors that affect the length of stay for 186,576 medical aid patients who were hospitalized for more than 31 days, with a focus on the type of hospitalization in long-term care hospitals. Results: The study found a significant correlation between gender, age, medical aid type, chronic disease ratio, long-term care hospital patient classification, and hospitalization type variables as factors that affect the length of hospital stay. The analysis of the differences in the length of stay for each type of hospitalization showed that the average length of stay is 291.4 days for type 1, 192.9 days for type 2, and 157.0 days for type 3, and that the difference is significant (p<0.0001). When type 3 was 0, type 1 significantly increased by 99.4 days, and type 2 by 36.6 days (p<0.0001). Conclusion: A model that can comprehensively view factors, such as provider factors and institutional factors, needs to be designed. In addition, to reduce long stays for medical aid patients, a mechanism to establish an early discharge plan should be prepared and concerns about underutilization should be simultaneously addressed.

중등학교 과학 수행평가의 평가 유형과 채점 방식 및 신뢰도 분석 (Analysis of Assessment Types, Scoring Methods and Reliability of Science Performance Assessment in Middle and High School)

  • 본 연구에서는 중등학교 과학 수행평가가 어떤 평가 유형과 채점 방식을 사용하고 있는지 분석하였으며, 이를 토대로 일반화가능도 이론을 이용하여 과학 수행평가 점수가 얼마나 신뢰로운지 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 과학 수행평가의 유형은 크게 지필형과 과제형으로 나눌 수 있었다. 지필형으로는 중등학교 모두 응답제한형 서술형검사만을 실시하고 있었다. 과제형은 과정 평가와 결과물 평가로 나눌 수 있었다. 채점 방식은 1명의 교사가 모든 서술형문항과 수행과제를 채점하거나, 2명의 교사가 수행과제를 나누어 채점하고 있었다. 그러나 2명 이상의 교사가 서술형문항을 나누거나 교차하여 채점하는 경우는 없었다. 표집된 7개 중등학교 과학 수행평가의 신뢰도 분석 결과는 다음과 갇다: (1) 서술형 문항의 특성이 수행과제의 특성보다 학생들의 수행평가 점수에 미치는 영향이 더 큰것으로 나타났다. (2) 수행과제 채점에서 채점자가 피험자를 다르게 채점하는 정도는 학교에 따라 상당한 차이가 있었다. (3) 7개 중등학교 과학 수행평가의 일반화가능도(신뢰도)는 대부분 적정 수준인 0.80에 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났으며, 적정 수준의 일반화가능도를 얻기 위해서는 지금보다 더 많은 수의 서술형 문항과 수행과제 그리고 채점자가 필요한 것으로 분석되었다.

농업인의 정보 수용경로 분석 및 정보수용 제고 방안 (Analysis of Information Adoption Pathways and Strategies of Raising Information Adoption of Farmers)

  • This study analyzed the characteristics of diverse information adoption pathways per pathway of information composition category including 'information perception', 'information assessment', and 'information adoption' and examined information adoption characteristics per pattern. In addition, differences among agricultural researchers and farmers per information adoption stage were analyzed. According to these analyses, as for farmers' information adoption pathways, while the formal extension type and the situational reaction diffusion type used the direct pathway of 'information perception ${\rightarrow}$ information adoption,'the agriculturist connection type and the systematic approach type did not use the direct pathway of 'information perception ${\rightarrow}$ information adoption' but, instead, adopted information by moving from the 'information perception ${\rightarrow}$ information assessment' pathway to the 'information assessment ${\rightarrow}$ information adoption' pathway, with information assessment as the intermediation. In the case of farmers, information adoption was the highest in comparison with information assessment and information perception in all patterns whereas, in the case of agricultural researchers, the results were exactly opposite those of farmers. By suggesting an information adoption pathway appropriate to each pattern, this study sought to enhance information adoption.

  • EIA has been introduced as a tool for environment protection into promulgation of the Environment Preservation Act in 1977, which replaced the Pollution Control Act in Korea. EIA system has been improved with the enlargement of project type, public participation, guideline improvement, and regulatory development. Recently, Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA) Act will have an important role for sustainable development. This article deals with regulatory development, implementation order, EIA project type, and EIS preparation guidelines by Act promulgated and amended, also it explains comparison analysis of Environmental Policy Act and Environment Impact Assessment Act Major results are summarized in the table.

초등교사와 예비초등교사의 과학평가 실태와 지향 (Elementary School Teachers' and Preservice Elementary School Teachers' Actual and Preferred Types of Science Assessment)

  • In this study, we investigated elementary and preservice elementary school teachers' actual and preferred types of science assessment focusing on the purpose and the method of assessment. Participants were 75 elementary school teachers and 93 preservice elementary school teachers. The questionnaire adopted from previous relevant studies was administerd in order to examine the types of assessment which the teachers have actually implemented and the preferred types of assessment for hypothetical situations known as the prototypical examples of constructivist assessment. The results revealed that most teachers and preservice teachers tend to possess the summative-oriented purpose of assessment. An affective assessment purpose focused on evaluating students' interest, attitude, and curiosity toward science was newly identified in this study. In analyzing teachers' responses from the viewpoint of the method of science assessment, responses of an informal mode such as observation and portfolio were noticeable. However, most of them were found to correspond to the traditional summative-oriented purpose of assessment. For prototypical constuctivist assessment situations, teachers and preservice teachers were found to prefer the performance and the informal modes than the measurement mode of the assessment methods, whereas their purposes of the assessment were not found to be constructivist.

공업계열 직업계고에서의 과정평가형 자격 도입 가능성 및 운영 방안 연구 (A study on the Possibility of Utilizing and Management Course Assessment type of National Technical Qualification at Industrial Secondary Vocational High Schools)

  • 본 연구는 공업계열 직업계고 교원의 인식을 기반으로 과정평가형 자격 도입 가능성 및 운영 방안 마련을 위한 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해서 이 연구에서는 공업계열 직업계고 교원의 과정평가형 자격에 대한 인식을 분석하고, 과정평가형 자격의 도입 가능성과 기대 효과에 대한 동의 정도, 그리고 과정평가형 자격 도입 시 고려해야 할 사항에 대한 중요도와 필요 정도를 분석하였다. 구체적인 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공업계열 직업계고 교원의 과정평가형 자격 제도에 대한 이해 정도는 보통 수준이나, 도입 취지와 목적, 그리고 필요 정도에 대한 동의 정도는 낮았다. 둘째, 과정평가형 자격을 취득하였을 때 얻을 수 있는 기대효과로는 교육을 받는 동시에 자격 취득, 구체적이고 유의미한 수행의 관점에서 학습목표 제시, NCS 기반의 체계적 교육·훈련 경력 개발 및 형성 가능, 산업 현장 중심의 지식과 기술 습득 가능 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 공업계열 직업계고에 과정평가형 자격을 도입할 때 고려해야 할 항목별 우선 순위를 도출하기 위하여 중요도와 필요 정도를 분석한 결과, 평균값보다 모두 높은 요구 영역으로는 과정평가형 자격 편성 시수 유연화, NCS 개정에 따른 적절한 경과 조치 마련, 필수능력단위 편성 시수 완화 등 인 것으로 나타났다.

Investigation on the failure type of tower segments under equivalent static wind loads

  • This paper presents a failure type assessment curve method to judge the failure type of transmission tower segments. This novel method considers the equivalent static wind load characteristics and the transmission tower members' load-bearing capacities based on numerical simulations. This method can help judge the failure types according to the relative positions between the actual state points and the assessment curves of transmission tower segments. If the extended line of the actual state point intersects with the horizontal part's assessment curve, the segment would lose load-bearing capacity due to the diagonal members' failure. Another scenario occurs when the intersection point is in the oblique part, indicating that the broken main members have caused the tower segment to fail. The proposed method is verified by practical engineering case studies and static tests on the scaled tower segments.
