Through the repeated process of the learning method, the popula-tion cultivate themselves with proper understanding and appropriate attitude toward design. By analyzing social behaviors of the past and living conditions, we can ex-pand our imaginations beyond limits. Each society and its local condition have tremendous effects on the develop-ment and progress of artistic theories, techniques and craftsmanship, and potential design of every day use products. Today, interior design can not afford to ignore the or-ganic relationship of life style and space. Thus, the plan-ning of space means the planning of life style. Life style, as it is, has a vast definition and changes with time. That is why spaces, which consider the life style and its environment when designed, show different aspects ac-cording to its corresponding time. Interior design, in particular, differs by time and re-gion to create its unique style. The change in space is the natural result of the change in life style which again is sensitive to the change in cultural and environmental elements. Design is no longer designing of mere physical elements and environment. Design should be taken as the equivalent of creating spiritual culture.
The purpose of this study is to inquire into the necessity and problem of the study on beauty aesthetics, and the direction and method of its study theoretically by applying the concept of aesthetics to the beauty art as an attempt to build up aesthetic concepts of beauty art. As results of inquiry, the study on beauty aesthetics is essential for the adaptation to demands for the creativity of beauty art. As for problem of study on beauty aesthetics, it is necessary to conduct an aggregate study at various angles since the aesthetic value of beauty art (hairstyle) is realized by interaction of the social cultural value or practical value and pure artistic value, and the unique cosmetic beauty of any era or nation group individual is created on the basis of hair designers and individual spirit, emotion and taste, etc. and its perceptual aesthetic enjoyment is accomplished variously. As for the direction and method of study on beauty aesthetics, the quest with abstract speculative self-examination into the beauty having its subjective meaning must be accomplished. This thesis would like to contribute to the building up of beauty industry field as beauty arts based on the aesthetics by successive coming forward of personnel for beauty who combine the aesthetic abilities meeting the diversified requirements of modern society and by improving the recognition of persons recognizing the beauty industry field as a technical field only.
The goal of this study was to analyze the degree of kindergarten teacher's understanding with respect to educational activities of social relationships area & art experience area in the Nuri-curriculum and to provide complementary materials and educational programs for enhancing kindergarten teacher's professional development. The tool for this study was a number of questionnaires on teacher's understanding in two area. The number of survey participants were 650 teachers and 78 preliminary teachers, 728 in total. Statistical analysis to this research responses was done by SPSS 23 at the significance level of .05, .01, .001 each. Research findings reached a conclusion of proposing differentiated complementary materials and educational programs based on the types of kindergarten, qualification of teachers and their demographics. That is, it should be adjusted to the differences in establishment-operation types of kindergarten, location/size/ages of class, careers/ages/license of teachers, and current-preliminary teacher's understanding. The educational activities of social relationships area should be focused on an attitude of valuing oneself and family by browsing and practicing what one can do for oneself and family. The educational activities of art experience area should be focused on integrated experience of artistic expression and appreciation activities by exploring musical, movement and artistic elements.
The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of storytelling-centered arts educational activities based on the famous painting appreciation on young children's appreciation ability of pictures and creativity. The study was conducted with a total of 50 5-year-old young children in two classes of B Day Care Center in the city of J, Jeollabukdo. The children were randomly divided into an experimental group(25) and a control group(25). The storytelling-centered arts educational activities based on the famous painting appreciation was conducted for the experimental group for 12 weeks from April 29, 2013 to July 19, 2013. The activities were composed of 3 steps of 'appreciation-expression-exhibition & assessment' on the basis of 2-week basic units. The appreciation activities were composed basing upon the types of the famous painting appreciation and storytelling, and expression and exhibition & assessment activities were composed of 4 areas of arts(music/movement/language/art). The results of the study are as follows. First, the storytelling-centered arts educational activities based on the famous painting appreciation generally improved young children's painting appreciation abilities in all sub-areas(observation and description/artist's intention of subject expression/mood of a work/material and technique/artistic factors/attitude to the work). Second, the storytelling-centered arts educational activities based on the famous painting appreciation generally improved young children's creativities in all sub-areas(originality/fluency/flexibility/imagination).
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a deeper understanding of the experience of mothers caring for children with epilepsy. Methods: Data were collected through individual in-depth interviews and observation from 12 mothers of children with epilepsy. Data were collected from December, 2014 to February, 2015 and analyzed using van Manen's hermeneutic phenomenological methodology to identify essential themes of their experience. Results: The essential themes that fit into the context of the 4-existential grounds of time, body, other people, and space were: Lived time-ongoing influence of the past, living in insecure present, fearful future with no answer; Lived body-bonded body, burned out state; Lived other-burden but also support, shrunken down; Lived space-narrowed range of activity, widened horizon. Conclusion: The findings in this study show in-depth understanding of the hardships of mothers who are caring for children with epilepsy. The beauty and greatness of these mothers are revealed through the analysis of various phenomenological materials such as literary and artistic work reflecting socio-cultural context, as well as vivid care experiences of mothers of children with epilepsy. This will be helpful in increasing understanding of the nature of caregivers' experience for medical professionals dealing with patients and caregivers. Also it helps to improve the understanding of the disease among the general public, followed by a more warming and caring attitude towards patients and family members. Finally, it will enhance psychological well-being and overall quality of life of the epileptic children and their families.
This study is to consider that group art therapy is necessary for the psychological adaptation that children of multicultural families need in the growth process, and discusses the effects of group art therapy. The research results are as follows. First, children from multicultural families were able to express themselves gradually through art work experiences and interactions with researchers, and experienced the objectification, acceptance and resolution of their emotions, thoughts and inner desires through artistic expression. Second, children from multicultural families were newly aware of themselves in an unstructured group art therapy environment that promoted active self-expression, spontaneity, and emotional expression, and gradually experienced an active attitude, that is, recovery of spontaneity. Third, children of multicultural families were able to develop positive self-concept in the process of group art therapy experience. In conclusion, by applying the group art therapy program, children who are experiencing difficulties in the psychological adaptation of children of multicultural families through the unique unique aspects of art therapy can provide a place where they can talk with each other in ways that language alone could not. have.
In this study, in regard to the change of the paradigm to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), we have looked into the ways to apply scientific inquiry through the arts, discussed the educational implications for the ways to step forth with the science and the arts in educational field. In the development of the strategies related to the optical illusion arts, to make sure that the design-oriented science education to reach its goal to make effective teaching, students need to be understood in the method of the artistic designs. Totally it had two rounds for inspection about operation of the convergence with curriculum. As a result, students changed attitude to concentrate in class naturally while doing their art work, participating in person rather than simply looking. It is caused by the scientific approach to strategy of illusion arts. In addition, we could see that students change into a proactive manner as well as teachers comments that they are communicate and make a complete the work with others. A lot of researches give that science can provide the ideas as a method to arts, arts can provide creative ideas to science, but it is still lacking that research can be applied to education specifically on how to. An efforts in the number of collaborative research will continue to introduce, as this study STEAM of science and arts in the field of education be shifted paradigm.
The article attempts to suggest s a direction of science education in terms of development of creative human resources based on discussion about scientific literacy and scientific creativity. Students are supposed to develop scientific attitude, inquiry skills, problem solving ability through science learning, and be prepared for the 21st century of rapidly developing age. The paper introduces definitions of scientific literacy and scientific creativity and discuss their meanings within science education in general as well as for the gifted. To enhance students' scientific creativity, science education should strengthen content of science related to technology, integrated science content, personal and social views, social inquiry for problem solving. In particular, science education for the gifted should emphasize students' holistic views in interpreting data, ability to connect artistic aspects to science process, intuitions to explain scientific phenomena and pursue of personal satisfaction. It may be said that science education and science education for the gifted is realized when students have opportunities to experience such elements in their science learning.
Japonese woodblock printing has been accepted with a great curiosity at first, and it has been called as 'Japonisme' or 'Japonaiserie' in which the school of Impressionism accepted the Japanese type of art and developed it in Europe. The term of Japonisme is the concept that does not refer to one style but to the taste for Japanese painting, craft, fashion and the like in Europe proved as the historical phenomenon through Japanese works. That is, it means every Japanese disposition including all artistic techniques and contents relating to Japanese tastes in Europe. Fashion of dress as Japanese expressed in European painting works not only symbolizes the 'modernity' expressive of the aspiration and nostalgia for Japan but presents the Japan of exotic taste as the inquisitive object of sexual interest. And the expressive method of the peculiar the beauty of the body was described in Japanese painting works because of the fashion characteristics that the frontal side of Japanese clothing was presented in a more decorative and formative way than its reverse side due to decorative design and belts. Main theme of this paper is the evaluation of the historical significance of Luciano Baldessari's exhibition works mainly during the Fifties. In order to understand the formal and logical basis of those project, his relationship with the historical Avant-gardes and the consequences expressed in his pavilion projects for the Breda Industrial Company are analyzed. The first part focuses on the influence of Italian Futurism, German Expressionism and Italian Rationalism on the formation and experience of Baldessari during the interwar years. The encounter with these movements determine the interest but also the principles along which Baldessari represents his idea of object, space and place. Specially his professional activities during Fascism would determine his attitude toward political power and the necessity of autonomy in artistic sphere. In the second part, different themes that Baldessari affronted in each project of Breda Pavilions is analyzed. Another important issue regard the historiography of the contemporary architecture. Often, many important works that lies in the threshold of the disciplines such as painting and sculpture and media art were excluded in the history of architecture just because they do not deal with the architectural object. Recently, many elements such as theatrical project and temporary objects are considered as part of urban reality and architecture with acknowledgment of their capacity to create event and situations. Along this thought, not just the reconfiguration on the territory of architecture in present but also the criterion to evaluate the past history of architecture is changing drastically. This study on the pavilions of Baldessari intends to contribute indirectly on the current issue of dominion of architecture, but also to evaluate objectively recent architecture. Consequently, architectural protagonists such as Baldessari and their ephemeral projects would be evaluated compressively in their multiplicity of significance.
