We investigated Soil respiration in Bluepine forest of western Bhutan, in relation to soil temperature, moisture content and soil pH and it was aimed at establishing variability in space and time. The Bluepine forest thrives in the typical shallow dry valleys in the inter-montane Bhutan Himalaya, which is formed by ascending wind from the valley bottom, which carries moisture from the river away to the mountain ridges. Stratified random sampling was applied and the study site was classified into top, mid, low slope and further randomized sample of n=20 from 30 m×30 m from each altitude. The overall soil respiration mean for the forest was found 2248.17 CO2 g yr-1 and it is ~613.58 C g yr-1. The RS from three sites showed a marginal variation amongst sites, lower slope (2,309 m) was 4.64 μ mol m-2 s-1, mid slope (2,631 m) was 6.78 μ mol m-2 s-1 and top slope (3,027 m) was 6.33 μ mol m-2 s-1 and mean of 5.92 μ mol m-2 s-1, SE=0.25 for the forest. Temporal distribution and variations were observed more pronounced than in the space variation. Soil respiration was found highest during March and lowest in September. Soil temperature had almost inverse trend against soil respiration and dropped a low in February and peak in July. The moisture in the soil changed across months with precipitation and pH remained almost consistent across the period. The soil respiration and soil temperature had significant relationship R2=-0.61, p=0.027 and other variables were found insignificant. Similar relationship are reported for dry season in a tropical forest soil respiration. Soil temperature was found to have most pronounced effect on the soil respiration of the forest under study.
This paper deals with the superlinear elliptic problem without Ambrosetti and Rabinowitz type growth condition of the form: $$\{-div\((1+\frac{|{\nabla}u|^{p(x)}}{\sqrt{1+|{\nabla}u|^{2p(x)}}}})|{\nabla}u|^{p(x)-2}{\nabla}u\)={\lambda}f(x,u)\;a.e.\;in\;{\Omega}\\u=0,\;on\;{\partial}{\Omega}$$ where ${\Omega}{\subset}R^N$ is a bounded domain with smooth boundary ${\partial}{\Omega}$, ${\lambda}$ > 0 is a parameter. The purpose of this paper is to obtain the existence results of nontrivial solutions for every parameter ${\lambda}$. Firstly, by using the mountain pass theorem a nontrivial solution is constructed for almost every parameter ${\lambda}$ > 0. Then we consider the continuation of the solutions. Our results are a generalization of that of Manuela Rodrigues.
A famous result of Chow and Robbins [8] asserts that if ${X_n, n \geq 1}$ are independent and identically distributed (i.i.d.) random variables with $E$\mid$X_1$\mid$ = \infty$, then for each sequence of constants ${M_n, n \geq 1}$ either $$ (1) lim inf_{n\to\infty} $\mid$\frac{M_n}{\sum_{j=1}^{n}X_j}$\mid$ = 0 almost certainly (a.c.) $$ or $$ (2) lim sup_{n\to\infty}$\mid$\frac{M_n}{\sum_{j=1}^{n}X_j}$\mid$ = \infty a.c. $$ and thus $P{lim_{n\to\infty} \sum_{j=1}^{n}X_j/M_n = 1} = 0$. Note that both (1) and (2) may indeed prevail.
Let {Xn; $n{\succeq}1$} be a field of martingale differences taking values in a p-uniformly smooth Banach space. The paper provides conditions under which the series ${\sum}_{i{\preceq}n}\;Xi$ converges almost surely and the tail series {$Tn={\sum}_{i{\gg}n}\;X_i;n{\succeq}1$} satisfies $sup_{k{\succeq}n}{\parallel}T_k{\parallel}=\mathcal{O}p(b_n)$ and ${\frac{sup_{k{\succeq}n}{\parallel}T_k{\parallel}}{B_n}}{\rightarrow\limits^p}0$ for given fields of positive numbers {bn} and {Bn}. This result generalizes results of A. Rosalsky, J. Rosenblatt [7], [8] and S. H. Sung, A. I. Volodin [11].

The constructed closed recycling system discussed in this technical report will be economically viable in future for the production of fish and vegetable in earth, space station and space colony, further, it will contribute a lot in the prevention of pollution in the world's ecological system. To make combined system, water management (Nitrification) is required, and it took 45 days to breed microorganism which facilitates this process. After this period , the recycle was confirmed to be working .Using derived equations, the expected nutrient characteristics of waste water were determined and it was found that the resulting nutrient balance was almost same as that in hydroponic solution when KOH was added to maintain pH level. Reverse osmosis (RO) system could solve the problem of the low nutrient concentration . It was found that plants grow well in fish waste water which was produced using RO system. RO system could combine fish and plant production through the advantageous use of separated high concentration water for plant and permeated water for fish in integrated combined system.
The roles of polypropylene (PP) beads and pH on membrane fouling and treatment efficiency were investigated in a hybrid advanced water treatment process of tubular carbon fiber membranes (ultrafiltration (UF) or microfiltration (MF)) and PP beads. The synthetic feed including humic acid and kaolin flowed inside the membrane, and the permeated contacted the PP beads fluidized in the space between the membrane and the module with UV irradiation and periodic water back-flushing. In the hybrid process of UF ($0.05{\mu}m$) and PP beads, final resistance of membrane fouling ($R_f$) after 180 min increased as PP beads increased. The turbidity treatment efficiency was the maximum at 30 g/L; however, that of dissolved organic matters (DOM) showed the highest at PP beads 50 g/L. The $R_f$ strengthened as pH of feed increased. It means that the membrane fouling could be inhibited at low alkali condition. The treatment efficiency of turbidity was almost constant independent of pH; however, that of DOM showed the maximum at pH 5. For MF ($0.1{\mu}m$), the final $R_f$ was the minimum at PP beads 40 g/L. The treatment efficiencies of turbidity and DOM were the maximum at PP beads 10 g/L.
A continuous production of fructooligosaccharides from sucrose was investigated by fructosyltransferase immobilized on a high porous resin, Diaion HPA25. The optimum pH(5.5) and temperature(55$^{\circ}C$) of the enzyme for activity was unaltered by immobilization, and the immobilized enzyme became less sensitive to the pH change. The optimal operation conditions of the immobilized enzyme column for maximizing the productivity were as follows: 600g/L of sucrose feed concentration, flow rate of superficial space velocity 2.7h-1. When the enzyme column was run at 50$^{\circ}C$, about 8% loss of the initial activity of immobilized enzyme was observed after 30 days of continuous operation, during which high productivity of 1174g/L$.$h was achieved. The kinds of products obtained using the immobilized enzyme were almost the same as those using soluble enzymes or free cells.
The crystal structure of the potential active 3-(4-ethylphenyl)-3H-chromeno[4,3-c]isoxazole-3a(4H)-carbonitrile ($C_{19}H_{16}N_2O_2$) has been determined from single crystal X-ray diffraction data. In the title compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group $P2_1/c$ with unit cell dimension a=6.6869 (8) ${\AA}$, b=15.8326 (19) ${\AA}$ and c= 15.237 (2) ${\AA}$ [${\alpha}=90^{\circ}$, ${\beta}=100.663^{\circ}$ and ${\gamma}=90^{\circ}$]. In the structure chromene, isoxazole and carboxylate are almost coplanar each other. All geometrical parameters revelled that chromene ring of pyran ring adopt sofa conformation. The crystal packing is stabilized by intermolecular C-H...N and C-H...O hydrogen bond interaction.
The structure of cholesteryl isobutyrate, $(CH_3)_2CHCOOC_{27}H_{45}$, was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction methods. Cholesteryl isobutyrate crystallized monoclinic space group $P2_1$, with a = 15.115 (8)${\AA}$, b = 9.636 (5)${\AA}$, c = 20.224 (9)${\AA}$, ${\beta}$ = 93.15 (5)$^{\circ}$, z = 4, $D_c = 1.03 g/cm^3 $and Dm= 1.04 g/$cm^3$. The intensity data were measured for the 3417 reflections, within $sin{\theta}/{\lambda} = 0.59{\AA}^{-1}$, using an automatic four-circle diffractometer and graphite monochromated Mo-$K_{\alpha}$ radiation. The structure was solved by fragment search Patterson methods and direct methods and refined by full-matrix least-squares methods. The final R factor was 0.129 for 2984 observed reflections. The two symmetry-independent molecules (A) and (B) are almost fully extended. The molecules are in antiparallel array forming monolayers with thickness $d_{100}$ = 15.2${\AA}$, and molecular long axes are nearly parallel to the [$\bar{1}$01] directions. The two distinct molecules form separate stacks with almost the same orientations, but with differing degrees of steroid overlap. Thers is a close packing of cholesteryl groups within the monolayers. The packing type is similar to those of cholesteryl hexanoate and cholesteryl oleate.
