국내 공항별 비행장 관제 시뮬레이터를 위한 구축 모델에 대한 연구 (A Study of the Development Model for the Aerodrome Traffic Control Simulator System)

  • 본 논문에서 국내 공항별 비행장 관제시뮬레이터(ATCS; aerodrome traffic control simulator)를 구축하기 위한 모델을 제안한다. ATCS는 관제사의 직무교육과 새로운 관제시스템 교육을 위한 연구기능 등으로 활용된다. 이런 기능들을 수행하기 위해, 우리는 ATCS를 교육, 연구 그리고 통합관리 시스템 등의 세 가지 유형으로 분류하였고 국내 공항별 근무 환경과 교육 환경 등으로 분석하였다. 따라서 우리는 국내 공항별 구축 모델을 균등형, 차등형, 그리고 센터형 등으로 제안하고 각 시스템에 대한 장단점을 분석한다. 또한 우리는 ATCS 구축 모델을 구축 비용과 유지 보수비용, 활용성 그리고 확장성 등의 항목으로 검토하였다. 그에 따라 국내 공항에 비행장관제시뮬레이터 구축이 적합한 차등형을 제안하였다.

Throughput and Delay of Single-Hop and Two-Hop Aeronautical Communication Networks

  • Aeronautical communication networks (ACN) is an emerging concept in which aeronautical stations (AS) are considered as a part of multi-tier network for the future wireless communication system. An AS could be a commercial plane, helicopter, or any other low orbit station, i.e., Unmanned air vehicle, high altitude platform. The goal of ACN is to provide high throughput and cost effective communication network for aeronautical applications (i.e., Air traffic control (ATC), air traffic management (ATM) communications, and commercial in-flight Internet activities), and terrestrial networks by using aeronautical platforms as a backbone. In this paper, we investigate the issues about connectivity, throughput, and delay in ACN. First, topology of ACN is presented as a simple mobile ad hoc network and connectivity analysis is provided. Then, by using information obtained from connectivity analysis, we investigate two communication models, i.e., single-hop and two-hop, in which each source AS is communicating with its destination AS with or without the help of intermediate relay AS, respectively. In our throughput analysis, we use the method of finding the maximum number of concurrent successful transmissions to derive ACN throughput upper bounds for the two communication models. We conclude that the two-hop model achieves greater throughput scaling than the single-hop model for ACN and multi-hop models cannot achieve better throughput scaling than two-hop model. Furthermore, since delay issue is more salient in two-hop communication, we characterize the delay performance and derive the closed-form average end-to-end delay for the two-hop model. Finally, computer simulations are performed and it is shown that ACN is robust in terms of throughput and delay performances.

UAM 초기 운영을 위한 통신 성능 요구도 도출 (Analysis of Communication Performance Requirements for Initial-Phase UAM Services)

  • 도심항공 모빌리티 (UAM; urban air mobility) 서비스를 위한 한국의 K-UAM 운용개념서에서는 초기 운용 과정에서 항공음성통신 뿐만 아니라 4G 및 5G 이동통신의 활용을 고려하고 있다. 본 논문은 UAM 교통관리를 위한 통신 성능 요구사항을 설정하기 위한 방법론을 연구하였으며, 초기 UAM 운항을 위한 통신 성능 요구 항목과 수준을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 K-UAM 운용개념서와 미국 FAA 운용개념서의 UAM 발전 단계별 운영 시나리오를 분석하고, 다양한 UAM 이해관계자 간에 UAM 운용을 위해 전달해야 할 메시지의 종류를 식별하였다. 또한, 이러한 메시지의 전송을 위해 필요한 통신 링크 종류, 데이터 크기, 전송 주기, 허용 가능 지연, 가용성 등을 고려하여 통신 성능 요구사항 초안을 도출하였다. 본 연구 결과는 UAM 서비스를 위한 통신 요구사항 설정 관련 최초 연구로서 향후 UAM 전용 통신망 설계 및 필요 주파수 소요량 산출과 같은 분야에서 유용하게 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

풍동실험을 이용한 도시거리협곡에서의 대기오염확산모델의 개발 (Development of Empirical Model for the Air Pollutant Dispersion in Urban Street Canyons Using Wind Tunnel Test)

  • 대기질 예측 모델링은 대기질 관리의 유용한 도구이다. 특히, 도시지역에서 대기질은 건물과 자동차와 같은 국부적인 장애물에 의해 크게 영향을 받는다. 일반적으로 도로를 따라 건물이 연속적으로 형성되어있는 도시거리협곡에서의 대기질을 예측하고자 할 때 현재 이용 가능한 대기확산모델은 대기질을 정확하게 예측하는데 많은 한계점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 도시거리협곡에서 대기질 예측을 위한 경험적인 모델을 제안하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 풍동실험을 수행하고, 그 결과를 통계적으로 분석하였다. 풍동실험 결과 넓은 협곡인 경우와 도로축과 직각을 이루는 바람일 때 도시거리협곡의 대기질을 향상시키는데 유용하다는 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 제안한 모델을 이용한 모델 예측치는 풍동실험 결과와 상관성이 양호하게 나타났다.

경기도 도시지역 환경대기질의 시공간적 추이와 특성 (Temporal and Spatial Variation and Characteristics of Ambient Air Quality in Urban Areas in Gyeonggi Province)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to provide policy directions for air pollution reduction by analyzing the variation in the characteristics of air contaminants around the Gyeonggi Province area. Methods: The data used in the study was obtained from air quality monitoring stations operated by the Gyeonggi Provincial Government. The target area was the air quality management area of the Gyeonggi Province region. Results: The concentration of $PM_{10}$ (particles measuring $10{\mu}m$ or less) in 2009 was $60{\mu}g/m^3$, which has been reduced by about 2.7% per year after improvement countermeasures were emplaced. The air pollution control policy was especially more effective for coarse particulate matter (CPM, $PM_{10-2.5}$). The improvement of $NO_2$ pollution was generally very low, especially in cities which had considerable automobile traffic. The concentration of $SO_2$ pollution was rapidly improved in industrial areas, but did not show any difference for multiple and general cities. The predicted concentration of $PM_{10}$ for 2014 based on the trend over 2001-2009 was $53.4{\mu}g/m^3$, which fails to meet the target concentration of $40{\mu}g/m^3$. The predicted concentration of $NO_2$ shows a very low probability of achieving the target concentration of 22 ppb, and thus the current improvement of air quality has proven unsatisfactory. Conclusion: Air pollution control policy should be enforced according to regional pollution characteristics in order to obtain maximum effectiveness in improvement.

  • There has been the migration to a performance-based approach in many areas which include transition planning at global, regional and local levels, performance-based navigation and safety management. Achieving continuous success of Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems would require a performance-based approach to raise productivity and efficiency of it through performance measurements and reviews. This paper considers establishment planning of performance measurement and evaluation system for ATM. Related to key performance areas proposed by International Civil Aviation Organization, performance indicators and metrics which could be used to measure and evaluate ATM performance are presented. Also, organizational system and operational planning for efficient operation of ATM are presented.

  • Recent development in wireless computing and GPS technology cause the active development in the application system of location information in real-time environment such as transportation vehicle management, air traffic control and location based system. Especially, study about vehicle location tracking system, which monitors the vehicle's position in a control center, is appeared to be a representative application system. However, the current vehicle location tracking system can not provide vehicle position information that is not stored in a database at a specific time to users. We designed a vehicle location tracking system that could track vehicle location using mobile interface such as PDA. The proposed system consist of a vehicle location retrieving server and a mobile interface. It is provide not only the moving vehicle's current location but also the position at a past and future time which is not stored in database for users.

도심항공교통(UAM) 도입에 따른 대중교통 이용자들의 UAM에 대한 선호도 분석 (인천공항-인천길병원 노선사례) (Analysis of Preference for UAM of Public Transportation Users Following UAM Adoption (Incheon Airport - Incheon Gil Medical Center Line))

  • 본 연구에서는 도심항공교통(UAM) 도입에 따른 대중교통 이용자들의 도심항공교통(UAM) 선호도를 분석하기 위하여 도심항공교통(UAM) 실증노선 구간인 인천국제공항-인천 길병원 노선을 대상구간으로 하여 인천광역시 대중교통 이용자 807명을 대상으로 선호의식(SP)조사를 실시하였다. 또한, 도심항공교통(UAM) 도입 초기, 성장기, 성숙기로 구분하여 시기별 통행시간, 통행비용을 달리하여 선호의식(SP)조사를 실시한 결과를 토대로 수단선택모형을 추정하였다. 구축된 수단선택모형을 활용하여 통행에 대한 시간가치를 분석한 결과 56,428원/시로 나타났고, 모형에서 통행비용(원), 차내시간(분), 차외시간(분)에 대한 탄력성 검증 결과 본 모형에서 도심항공교통(UAM) 분담율에 미치는 영향은 통행비용(원), 차내시간(분), 차외시간(분) 순서로 나타났고, 통행비용(원)이 증가할 때보다 감소할 때 미치는 영향이 크게 나타났다.

분진의 개수농도 및 질량농도에 입각한 서울시 지하철 역사 내 오염원의 기여도 결정 (Determination of Source Contribution Based on Aerosol Number and Mass Concentration in the Seoul Subway Stations)

  • The subway play an important part in serious traffic problems. However, because subway system is a closed environment, many serious air pollution problems occurred in subway stations and injured passenger's health. Therefor, it is a necessary to identify sources and to estimate pollutant sources in order to protect passenger's health and to keep clean subway environment. The purpose of this study was to analyze a air quality in the subway stations and to apply a new receptor methodology for quantitatively estimate of PM10 sources. In this study, the size distributions of particulate matters has been measured by using Aerosizer LD (U.S.A., API, Inc.). It's real time measurement capability of time-of-flight technique offers a significant advantage of user convenience and air pollution management. Also, the mass concentrations of PM 10 has been measured by using mini-vol portable sampler (U.S.A., Airmetrics Co.). The sampling performed in Seoul subway stations during the period of February 2000 and April 2000. The number distribution data used in this study consisted of 26 raw data sets in the Jongno-sam-ga station. Correlation Analysis can be used in subway stations for source separation and identification. Then, number contribution from each source is determined by the particle number balance (PNB). The mass concentration data used in this study consisted of 31 raw data in the 8 different stations. The mass contributions of PM10 sources in the concourse by using PMF/CMB model.
