성격의 6요인(HEXACO) 모형에 의한 우울 및 불안장애 환자 성격 특성과 우울 및 불안 증상 간의 관계 (Relationship between Personality Profiles by HEXACO Personality Structure Model and Depression and Anxiety Symptoms in Patient with Depression or Anxiety Disorders)

  • Objective : This study used the HEXACO personality structure model to evaluate the relationship between personality profiles and symptoms in patients with depression and/or anxiety disorders. Methods : Total 123 patients with depression or anxiety disorders completed Beck depression inventory (BDI), state-trait anxiety inventory (STAI), and HEXACO-personality inventory. Correlation analysis and independent t-test were performed for comparison between HEXACO and BDI or STAI scores. Results : Depressive symptoms were negatively correlated with extraversion, conscientiousness, agreeableness and openness to experiences. Both severity of state and trait anxiety were positively correlated with emotionality, and negatively correlated with conscientiousness and agreeableness. Moreover, state anxiety was negatively correlated with honesty-humility, and trait anxiety was negatively correlated with extraversion. The depression group showed significantly higher emotionality and lower extraversion, conscientiousness, openness to experiences, and agreeableness compared to the non-depression group. In a comparison of the HEXACO domain scores between the non-anxiety and anxiety group, honesty-humility and agreeableness in the state anxiety group and extraversion, conscientiousness, and agreeableness in trait anxiety group were significantly lower. Conclusion : Theses results suggest that the depression or anxiety symptoms were highly correlated with personality profiles. Therefore, evaluating the personality profiles in these patients may be helpful for directing appropriate therapeutic plans.

협동학습에서 학생의 유화성에 따른 집단 구성의 효과 (The Effect of Grouping by Students' Agreeableness in Cooperative Learning)

  • 이 연구에서는 협동학습 전략을 사용한 중학교 과학 수업에서 학생들의 유화성을 고려한 소집단 구성이 학업 성취도, 과학 수업에 대한 자신감과 만족감, 과학 수업에 대한 태도, 구성원간 응집성 등에 미치는 효과를 조사하였다. 158명 학생들을 전통 집단과 동질 및 이질 집단으로 배치하고, 혼합물의 분리 단원에 대하여 7차시 동안 수업을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 학업 성취도에서는 차이가 없었다. 그러나, 만족감과 구성원간 응집성에서 수업 처치와 유화성 수준 사이의 상호작용 효과가 나타났다. 유화성 상위 학생들은 동질 집단에서 만족감과 응집성이 높았다. 동질 집단의 학생들이 다른 집단의 학생들보다 과학 수업에 대한 태도가 높았다.

Personality Correlates of Political Support: Evidence from South Korea

  • Despite a vast amount of research on the relationship between personality traits and political attitudes, little is known about the effects of personality on individuals' support for the political system of their own country. Using three nationally representative datasets from South Korea, the present study shows that the personality dimensions - particularly, Agreeableness - are positively associated with political support, which encompasses confidence in the presidency, confidence in the government, and national pride. These findings suggest that two facets of Agreeableness - trust and compliance - are activated in expressing individuals' support for their political system. Thus, mobilizing citizens who score high on Agreeableness is essential to maintain political stability and legitimacy, but such a task appears to be difficult, given that ideological polarization discourages them from being politically active due to their propensity to conflict avoidance.

레스토랑에서의 윤리적 리더십에 관한 연구 (The Antecedents and Consequences of Ethical Leadership in the Restaurant Industry -Focused on Ethical Context, Personality, and Job Satisfaction-)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate how organization's ethical context, leader's agreeableness, conscientiousness and neuroticism affected his (or her) ethical leadership, and how leader's ethical leadership influenced subordinates' job satisfaction in the restaurant industry. The model was tested in hotel restaurants and family restaurants using a sample of employees in Pusan, Daegu and Gyeongsangbukdo. Empirical results confirmed that organization's ethical context, leader's agreeableness, conscientiousness and neuroticism influenced his (or her) ethical leadership, and leader's ethical leadership affected subordinates' job satisfaction. This research findings implied managerially that firstly, top management should establish employees' ethical regulations and motivate them to work ethically through training, incentives and punishment and secondly, should employee agreeable, conscientious and anti-neurotic person through aptitude test, if possible. In the future, restaurant's successful operations and management depends on partly its ethical status.

초등 과학 협동학습에서 유화성을 고려한 소집단 구성의 효과 (The Effect of Grouping on the Basis of Students' Agreeableness in Cooperative Elementary Science Classes)

  • 이 연구에서는 협동학습에서 학생의 유화성 수준을 고려한 집단 구성이 초등학교 6학년 학생들의 과 학 성취도, 자아효능감, 과학 학습 동기에 미치는 영향을 조사했다. 1개 초등학교의 6학년 3개 학급 학생 72명 을 학급 단위로 통제 집단과 처치 집단으로 임의 배정했다. 사전 검사로 유화성 검사, 자아효능감 검사, 과학 학 습 동기 검사를 실시했다. 처치 집단의 학생들은 유화성 수준에 따라 동질 혹은 이질적으로 소집단을 편성한 후, 협동학습 전략에 따라 수업을 실시했다. 반면, 통제 집단 학생들은 임의로 소집단을 편성한 후, 전통적인 방 식으로 수업을 실시했다. 협동학습 처치는 5주(16차시) 동안 실시했다. 수업 처치가 끝난 후, 성취도, 자아효능 감, 과학 학습 동기 검사를 실시했다. 연구 결과, 이질 집단과 동질 집단의 성취도 검사 점수가 통제 집단에 비 해 유의미하게 높았지만, 유화성 수준에 따른 집단 구성은 성취도에 영향을 주지 않았다. 자아효능감과 과학 학 습 동기 검사에서는 수업 처치에 따른 차이가 나타나지 않았다.

영재교육에 있어 성격 5요인의 자기조절학습 및 학업성취도 예측에 관한 연구 (Influence of Big Five Personality on Self-Regulation Learning and Achievement in Gifted Education)

  • 본 연구는 질 높은 영재교육을 제공하기 위해 영재의 성격 5요인의 요소인 개방성, 성실성, 외향성, 수용성 및 신경증이 영재교육의 성과인 자기조절학습과 학업성취도를 예측하는 지를 밝히고자 하였다. 본 연구는 경기도 A영재교육원 학생 95명을 대상으로 진행하였다. 영재의 개방성, 성실성, 외향성, 수용성, 신경증, 자기조절학습 및 학업성취도간의 관계를 살펴본 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 영재의 수용성, 개방성, 성실성 순으로 자기조절학습을 유의하게 예측하였다. 둘째, 영재의 신경증, 자기조절학습 및 외향성 순으로 학업성취도를 유의하게 예측하였다. 셋째, 학업성취도에 유의한 예측력을 보이지 않은 영재의 개방성, 성실성, 수용성은 자기조절학습을 매개로 학업성취도에 대한 예측력이 유의한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 따라서 영재교육에서는 영재의 성격 5요인을 관리할 수 있는 프로그램을 통하여 영재교육의 성과인 자기조절학습과 학업성취도를 높여 나가야 할 것이다.

사회적 긍정정서와 친화성이 조망수용과 긍정적 대처에 미치는 영향 (The effects of social positive affect and agreeableness on perspective taking and positive coping)

  • 본 연구는 긍정정서를 사회성 축에 따라 사회적 긍정정서와 비사회적 긍정정서로 나눌시 조망수용능력과 긍정적 대처간의 관계가 다르게 나타나는지 알아보았다. 그리고 그 관계가 성격변인인 친화성에 따라 조절되는지를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 대학생을 대상으로 실험 1과 2를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 사회적 긍정정서를 느낀 집단은 비사회적 긍정정서 집단보다 통계적으로 유의하게 조망수용능력이 높고, 회피/체념 대처전략보다 긍정적 대처전략을 택하는 경우가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 아울러, 긍정정서의 사회성 유무와 조망수용능력간의 관계에서는 성격변인인 친화성이 유의한 조절효과가 있었다. 즉, 비사회적 긍정정서를 느낀 사람이 사회적 긍정정서를 느낀 사람에 비해 친화성이 높을수록 조망수용능력이 유의하게 높아지고 있음을 확인하였다. 반면, 긍정정서의 사회성 유무와 긍정적 대처간의 관계에서는 친화성의 조절효과가 없었다. 사회적 긍정정서와 비사회적 긍정정서간의 차이 및 원인에 대해 언급하고 본 연구의 제한점과 후속 연구방향에 대해 논의하였다.

성격 5요인 모델에 따른 개인-조직 성격 일치도가 종합병원 간호사의 직무만족과 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Individual-organization Personality Agreement using Five-factor Model on Hospital Nurses' Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment)

  • Purpose: This study was done to investigate the effects of individual-organization personality agreement using a five-factor model on job satisfaction and organizational commitment of hospital nurses. Methods: Participants were 222 nurses who had worked for more than 1 year in a university hospital. Data were collected from January 14 to 20, 2012, using self-recorded questionnaires. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression methods. Results: Extraversion personality fit and the Agreeableness personality fit had a significant effect on job satisfaction. Extraversion personality fit, agreeableness personality fit, and openness personality fit had a significant effect on organizational commitment. Conclusion: Results of this study show that individual-organizational personality agreement affects hospital nurses' job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The extraversion personality fit and agreeableness personality fit of the 5 factors are identified as important variables to increase organizational performance. Based on these results, it is necessary to develop an integrated organizational personality measure model for increasing nurses' work environment satisfaction related to individual-organization personality fit.

도시형 한옥지구의 녹환경 인식구조에 관한 연구 -도시 주택지 녹환경에 관한 연구(I)- (A Study on the Cognitive Structure of Green Environment of Traditional Urban Residential Areas)

  • This paper is to clarify a cognitive structure of green environment in the traditional urban residential areas. The following is the result of analysis; 1) According to the survey of created actual condition of the green environment, the main space was consisted of court(74%). The percentage of preference locations for green environment at the court and the alley are 71, 60 respectively. The main reason to creat green environment resulted admiration and enjoyment. 2) The degree of $\ulcorner$agreeableness$\lrcorner$ and $\ulcorner$nobleness$\lrcorner$ of the house were increased by creating green environment in a house, and the degree of $\ulcorner$neighborhood$\lrcorner$ and $\ulcorner$familarity$\lrcorner$ were increased by creating green environment out side of house. 3) According to the analysis of a correlation between the degree of satisfaction and the image, $\ulcorner$agreeableness$\lrcorner$ has an interrelation with all factors of image. Therefore, the creating of $\ulcorner$agreeableness$\lrcorner$ is a main problem for raising the whole image of the residential areas.

Determinant Factors of Donation Intention and the Role of Religiosity: A Case Study in Indonesia

  • This study will explain the determinants factors that can increase donation behavior in public funding. The originality of this study is the use of Agreeableness Personality and Social Exclusive as predictors in Theory of Planned Behavior. Besides that, this study involves Attitude, Perceived Behavioral Control, Religiosity, Intention to Donate, and Donation Behavior. The population of this research is all people registered as active participants of BPJAMSOSTEK in East Java Province, of which 400 people are used as samples. The data analysis method used to test the hypothesis is SEM, which was conducted by utilizing the WarpPLS 6.0 software. The study found that Agreeableness Personality significantly had a positive effect on Attitude and Perceived Behavior Control, while Social Exclusive only significantly had a positive effect on Perceived Behavior Control. Attitude and Perceived Behavior Control influence the Intention to Donate positively, then consequently had a positive effect on Donation Behavior. Religiosity tends to strengthen the influence of the Intention to Donate to Donation Behavior. To improve donation behavior in the general public, BPJAMSOSTEK must organize a form of labor protection efforts to bring prosperity to all workers in Indonesia.
