반사파가 있는 관내의 능동 소음제어 (Active Noise Control in a Duct With Reflected Wave)

  • This study is to describe the effects of the duct termination conditions conditions upon the active noise attenuation system. The adaptive filtering algorithm using FIR filter is implemented for duct noise attenuation. To avoid the instability caused by the acoustic feedback, two methods are considered. One is to use a compensating FIR filter. The other is to utilize uni-directional detecting microphone and uni-directional control speaker. Experimental results show that the reflections of sound from duct terminations greatly reduce the performance of ANC system. The directionality of detecting microphone and control speaker is a major factor to decide ANC performance. When there are some reflections from both duct terminations, the noise attenuation using finite FIR filter is not enough to model the duct plant. Especially, the reflection from the upstream termination reduces the noise attenuation in the frequencies related to the distance between control speaker and upstream termination. The performance of the noise attenuation is found to be largely enhanced by using uni-directional coupler, both on detecting microphone and control speaker, even if the duct system has an arbitrary termination conditions.

Study on Performance of Adaptive Maximum Torque Per Amp Control in Induction Motor Drives at Light Load Operation

  • Efficient operation of induction motor at light loads has been getting wide attention recently because the operating of induction motor at light loads occupies big portion of its operating regions in many applications such as environment friendly vehicle. As one of approaches to improve efficiency, Adaptive Maximum Torque Per Amp (Adaptive MTPA) control for induction motor drives has been proposed to achieve a desired torque with the minimum possible stator current. However, the Adaptive MTPA control was validated only at heavy load where, in general, control scheme tends to perform better than at light loads since the error in measurement of sensors is lower and signal to noise is better. Thus, although the performance of a control scheme is good at rated operating point, its performance at light load is somewhat in doubt in practice. This has led to considerable interest in efficiency of Adaptive MTPA control at light loads. This work experimentally demonstrates performance of Adaptive MTPA control at light loads regardless of rotor resistance variation, thus showing its good performance over all operating conditions.

능동소음제어를 위한 망각형 지연 LMS 알고리듬을 이용한 이중루프제어 모델 (A Double Loop Control Model Using Leaky Delay LMS Algorithm for Active Noise Control)

  • 본 논문에서는 능동소음제어를 위하여 망각형 지연 LMS(least mean square) 알고리듬을 이용한 이중루프제어 모델을 제안하였다. 제안한 이중루푸제어 모델은 계산양을 줄이기 위해 이득과 음향시간지연인자를 이용하여 온라인으로 라우드스피커 특성 및 오차음경로를 추정한다. 이중루프구조를 통한 오차신호의 제어는 보다 견실한 제어시스템이 된다. 음향시간지연을 추정하기 위한 필터의 입력신호는 입력 마이크로폰 신호와 적응필터의 차를 사용한다. 망각형 지연 LMS 알고리듬은 비정상상태에서 계수들의 발산을 방지하기 위해 사용한다. 실제 소음신호에 대하여 제안한 이중루프제어 모델은 소음레벨이 평균 12.9dB정도 감쇠되었다.

  • Multiple-model speech recognizer has been shown to be quite successful in noisy speech recognition. However, its performance has usually been tested using the general speech front-ends which do not incorporate any noise adaptive algorithms. For the accurate evaluation of the effectiveness of the multiple-model frame in noisy speech recognition, we used the state-of-the-art front-ends and compared its performance with the well-known multi-style training method. In addition, we improved the multiple-model speech recognizer by employing N-best reference HMMs for interpolation and using multiple SNR levels for training each of the reference HMM.

  • This study describes optimization methods for adjustment of helicopter main rotor tracking and balancing (RTB). RTB is a essential process for helicopter operation and maintenance. Linear and non-linear models were developed with past RTB test results for estimation of RTB adjustment. Then global and sequential optimization methods were applied to the each of models. Utilization of the individual optimization method with each model is hard to fulfill the RTB requirements because of different characteristics of each blade. Therefore an ensemble model was used to integrate every estimated adjustment result, and an adaptive method was also applied to adjustment values of the linear model to update for next estimations. The goal of this developed RTB adjustment optimization program is to achieve the requirements within 2 run. Additional tests for comparison of weight factor of the ensemble model are however necessary.

  • Curved intakes are commonly used from commercial aircraft to military missile. Sound radiation from the intake of air vehicle affects cabin noise, community noise and military detection. In this paper, Sound radiation from curved intake is computed using the high order, high resolution scheme. The generalized characteristic boundary conditions, adaptive nonlinear artificial dissipation model and conformal mapping for high order, high resolution scheme are used. The geometric change of curved intake and the frequency of acoustic source are considered. Two dimensional Euler equations are solved for theses analyses.

  • This paper presents a novel active noise control (ANC) system using least mean square (LMS) algorithm and neural network approach for decreasing acoustic noise signals inside high-speed trains. We construct a LMS framework as a nominal ANC system and additionally design an artificial single-layered perceptron model as an auxiliary ANC which is aimed to reduce real-time residuary noise due to its nonstationary and uncertain nature. Parameter vector of the hybrid ANC is determined through online estimation to realize an adaptive ANC configuration by means of the steepest descent algorithm. We achieve simulation experiment to demonstrate the proposed ANC system employing realistic acoustic noise signals measured in Korea Train eXpress (KTX).

슬라이드 모우드를 이용한 모델추종 적응제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Adaptive Model-Following Control Systems by Slide Mode)

  • This paper describes a new method for the design of adaptive model-following control systems. This design concept is developed using the theory of slide mode. Authors present new results on the sliding control methodology to achieve accurate tracking for a class of multi-input multi-output, time-varying systems in the presence of parameter variations and disturbances. This algorithm can be easily applied to the multivariable control systems and obtained a smoother control signal in comparison to variable structure model following control systems. The design technique is easy and the control structure is simple. The design requires little computational effort. The control system is less sensitive to plant parameter variations and noise disturbances.

고해상도 SAR 영상 Speckle 제거 및 분류 (Despeckling and Classification of High Resolution SAR Imagery)

  • Lee(2009)에서 영상 강도를 위해서 lognormal 확률 모형과 영상 texture를 위해서 Markov random field(MRF)에 기반하는 Bayesian 모형을 사용하는 boundary-adaptive despeckling 방법을 제안하였다. 이 방법은 speckle 제거 영상의 최대 사후(maximum a posteriori: MAP) 추정치를 구하기 위해서 Point-Jacobian iteration을 이용한다 인접하고 있는 다른 특성의 지역에 위치한 화소의 값을 사용하는 가능성을 줄이기 위해 Boundary-adaptive algorithm은 경계에 가까울 수록 멀리 떨어진 이웃 화소로부터 정보를 덜 수집하도록 고안된다. 이러한 boundary-adaptive 방법은 전반적으로 simulation 자료를 사용하여 Lee(2009)에서 평가되었고 그리고 제안된 방법의 효험을 증명하였다. 본 연구는 Lee(2009)의 확장 연구로 MAP 추정치를 구하기 반복 algorithm의 계산 효율성을 증가 시키고 noise 제거와 함께 분류를 수행하는 수정 algorithm을 제안한다. Simulation 자료를 사용한 실험을 통해서 boundary-adaption이 분류 오류를 줄여줄 뿐 아니라 더욱 명확한 경계선을 보여준다는 것을 알 수 있다. 또한 영종도 서해안에서 관측된 고해상도 Terra-SAR data에 적용한 결과는 boundary-adaption은 SAR 활용에서 분석의 정확성을 개선 시킬 수 있다는 것을 암시한다.

맥퍼슨 타입 반 능동 현가장치의 진동제어 성능 고찰 (A Study on Vibration Control Performance of Macpherson Type Semi-Active Suspension System)

  • 이 논문은 MR 댐퍼를 적용한 맥퍼슨 타입의 반 능동 현가장치의 진동제어에 관한 연구를 보여준다. 맥퍼슨 스트럿의 기하학적 분석을 바탕으로 동역학 지배 방정식이 설립되었으며, 제어기 설계를 위해 평형 점 근처의 비선형적 운동이 선형화하였다. 이어서 시스템의 향상된 반응시간을 위해 새로운 적응 움직임 슬라이딩모드 제어기를 제안하였으며, 시뮬레이션을 통해 범프와 랜덤도로에서 차량으로 가해지는 진동에 따른 제어 성능을 기존슬라이딩모드 제어기 및 스카이훅 제어기와의 비교를 통해 우수성을 평가하였다.
