This study was to investigate the cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) outcomes and the clinical characteristics of outof- hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) by analyzing date in one region. A total 8 patients, survived over 72 hours after ROSC. The cardiac arrest were caused by unknown (5 cases), cardiac disease (3 cases). The most common place of cardiac arrest was in the home (6 cases), witnessed cardiac arrest (8 cases), cardiopulmonary resuscitation by bystander was performed (4 cases), agonal respiration (3 cases). The initial electrocardiogram (ECG) showed ventricular fibrillation (VF) in 7 cases, pulseless electrical activity (PEA) other rhythms in 1 cases. Average time from call to scene arrival 6.1 minutes, call to hospital arrival 23.0 minutes, duration of total CPR was 8.7 minutes. The certificate of them were level 1 emergency medical technician (EMT) 6 cases, level 2 EMT 3 cases, total 3 members 7 cases. To improve the rate of survival for out-ofhospital cardiac arrest victims, development of continuous CPR educational program for lay rescue.
The chemical conversion pattern of salvianolic acid B (Sal B) in aqueous solution under different boiling conditions was compared. When the duration of boiling was varied, without varying temperature or pressure, the content of chemically converted compounds (CCCs) was mostly increased over time. In addition, under different conditions of temperature and pressure with the same boiling time, the content of a few compounds increased with increasing temperature and pressure. These results confirmed that high temperatures and pressures in boiling alter the final composition of CCCs of Sal B. Therefore, it was suggested that the boiling conditions (time, temperature, and pressure) may be responsible for alteration of biological activities of the compounds. Our investigation of the chemical conversion of compounds contained in foods and medicinal herbs may provide important information in clarifying the biological activity of Sal B containing foods and medicinal herbs.

$Cu/ZnO/Al_2O_3$ catalysts for water gas shift (WGS) reaction were synthesized by co-precipitation method with the fixed molar ratio of Cu/Zn/Al precursors as 45/45/10. Copper and zinc precursor were added into sodium carbonate solution for precipitation and aged for 24h. During the aging period, aluminum precursor was added into the aging solution with different time gap from the precipitation starting point: 6h, 12h, and 18h. The resulting catalysts were characterized with SEM, XRD, BET surface measurement, $N_2O$ chemisorption, TPR, and $NH_3$-TPD analysis. The catalytic activity tests were carried out at a GHSV of $27,986h^{-1}$ and a temperature range of 200 to $400^{\circ}C$. The catalyst morphology and crystalline structures were not affected by aluminum precursor addition time. The Cu dispersion degree, surface area, and pore diameter depended on the aging time of Cu-Zn precipitate without the presence of $Al_2O_3$ precursor. Also, the interaction between the active substance and $Al_2O_3$ became more stronger as aging duration, with Al precursor presented in the solution, increased. Therefore, it was confirmed that aluminum precursor addition time affected the catalytic characteristics and their catalytic activities.

In order to elucidate the regulatory mechanism of intracellular calcium ion concentrations, contractions or contractures induced by $Na^{+}-removal$, calcium-application or ouabain-treatment as an index of $Na^+/Ca^{2+}$ exchange activity were studied in atrial muscle or vascular smooth muscle (aorta and renal artery) of the rabbit. The magnitude of low sodium contractures in atrial trabeculae increased with sigmoid shape when external sodium concentrations were reduced to sodium-free condition, whereas that of calcium contracture intensified in a parabolic pattern when external calcium concentrations were elevated to 8 mM. $Na^{+}-removal$ contractures were induced in a duration-dependent manner to $K^{+}-free$ exposure and same findings were observed with ouabain treatment. $Na^{+}-free$ contractures were not affected by verapamil treatment, but stimulated by $100{\mu}M\;Mn^{2+}$ and inhibited by high concentrations of $Mn^{2+}\;(2{\sim}8mM)$ in a dose-dependent manner. Ryanodine which is known to suppress the release of calcium from internal store abolished spontaneous twitch contractions induced by $K^{+}-free$ solution, but had no effect on the development $Na^{+}-free$ contractures. Na-free contractures were not always induced in vascular smooth muscle preparations. Contractures by $O\;mM\;Na^+$ were usually seen in aorta, but not often in renal artery.$50\;mM\;K^+$, noradrenaline (NA) and angiotensin II (AII) always evoked very large contraction in all preparations of vascular smooth muscle. Contractures developed by $O\;mM\;Na^+$ were not sensitive to verapamil treatment as in atrial trabeculae, but were abolished by $100{\mu}M\;Mn^{2+}$. In contrast to $Na^{+}-free$ contractures, $Mn^{2+}(100{\mu}M)$ had no effect on the contractures induced by NA or 50 mM$K^+$. Caffeine in the concentration of 10 mM evoked transient contracture in the distal renal artery. The rate of spontaneous relaxation in caffeine contracture was dependent upon the concentrations of external sodium, and had double component of relaxation when the rate of relaxation was plotted in the semilogarithmic scale of relative tension versus time. Especially late components of relaxation had more direct relation to $Na^+$ concentrations. It could be concluded that $Na^+/Ca^{2+}$ exchange mechanism in the heart has a large capacity, inhibited by $Mn^{2+}$ but not by verapamil and ryanodine, while $Na^+/Ca^{2+}$ exchange system in vascular smooth muscle has a very low capacity especially in small artery, inhibited by low concentration of $Mn^{2+}\;(100{\mu}M)$ but not affected by verapamil and ryanodine.

This research were to develop and apply an educational program for 6th grade students in mathematics by using level orientated teaching method and to make an analysis of their effects on students' mathematics learning achievements and mathematical disposition. Those purposes is following: First, we develop the level orientated teaching method that fits to the low level and high level students and analyze the effect on students' mathematics learning achievements. Second, we analyze the effect on students' mathematical disposition by using level orientated teaching method. The biggest problem of applying level orientated teaching method is that all the groups should do the meaningful activity while just one group is on process. So we tried to keep the proposition that level orientated teaching method should be helpful to both high and low level students. The duration of the research was about 8 weeks from march 2 to may 22 and the level orientated mathematics program consists in lesson 1 "a fraction and a decimal" to lesson 3 "The range of numbers". The results of this study are as follows : First, there was significant effect to the students, develop level orientated mathematics program and using that program. Second, there was an affirmative effect to the students about mathematical disposition using level orientated mathematics program. To sum up conclusion of this study, the level orientated mathematics program has an affirmative effect on mathematics learning achievements and mathematical disposition. We expect further research about level orientated teaching method and use effective level orientated teaching method widely.
The effect of green tea drinking on the hepatocellular chemical cacinogenesis have been studied. Placental glutathione S-transferase(GST-P) positive foci area in a liver tissue, contents of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances(TBARS), total cytochrome P450 and glucose 6-phospphatase(G6P) activity in hepatic microsomes were investigated. Weaning Sprague-Dawley male rats were fed AIN-76A diet with deionized water or green tea infusion, Rats of CTR and CTR+ groups were provided deionized water while GTI and GTI+ groups were provided green tea instead of deionized water for the entire experimental period of 13weeks. Rats of GTP and GTP + groups had deionized water for the first 6 weeks and switched to green tea for the last 7weeks of the experimental period. CTR+, GTI +, and GTP + groups were carcinogen treated groups, Diethylnitrosamine(DEN) was injected as a single dose of 200mg/kg body weight intraperitoneally after 4 weeks of feeding. 2-Acetyla-minofluorene(AAF) was used as a carcinogen proliferater and suppled in the diets of carcinogen treated rats as 0.02% content for the last 6weeks starting from 2weeks after DEN injection. Rats were sacrificed after 13week weeks of feeding. The area and number of GST-P positive foci detected in carcinogen treated rats were decreased by green tea ingestion but when timing and duration of green tea ingestion was delayed after promotion period as in GTP + group, GST-P positive foci were not decreased as much as in GTI+ group. TBARS contents of carcinogen treated rats decreased by 13weeks of green tea ingestion but GTP groups did not show statiscally significant differences. G6P activities tended to decrease by carcinogen treatment but changes were not statiscally significant by green tea ingestion. Total cytochrome P450 contents were increased by carcinogen treatment. Thirteen weeks of green tea ingestion (GTI) also increased to total cytochrome P450 contents while 7weeks of green tea ingestion(GTP) did show any effects. These results suggest that green tea has suppressive effects on hepatocellular chemical carcinogenesis probably through the activities of antioxidant compounds. Objectives : This study aimed to investigate the general effects of low-frequency electrical stimulation of the ankle joint acupuncture points(BL62 and KI6) on the brain waves of elderly women as a pilot study to figure out the possibility of candidate non-invasive and non-chemical stimulation method for the enhancing the brain function. Methods : A randomized, controlled, double-blinded clinical trial was performed in 31 healthy women(mean age, 54.5 years) within a treatment duration of 12 sessions. In the experimental group, low-frequency electrical stimulation was applied using the maximum range of the individual insensible strength(mean current, $0.04{\mu}A$). The control group received sham stimulation. The background electroencephalographic activity was measured before and after the12 sessions. Results : After 12 sessions of stimulation, the relative power of the alpha wave increased(32 of 32 channels: significant difference in 11 channels, p<0.05); the theta(30 of 32 channels: significant difference in 10 channels, p<0.05), beta(31 of 32 channels), and gamma(30 of 32 channels: significant difference in 7 channels, p<0.05) powers were also decreased compared with the sham group. Conclusions : Electrical stimulation on the ankle joint acupuncture points(BL62 and KI6) seemed to stabilize the elderly women brain by inducing the alpha power and reducing beta, theta, and gamma powers. These results provide insight into the action mechanism of the stimulation and can assist the future developement of a non-invasive and non-chemical treatment technique for stressor related cognitive problems.

In this study, we investigated the effect of roasting temperature on nutrient content, digestive enzyme activities, and antioxidative properties of sesame seed juice. The sesame seeds were either roasted at 160, 200, and $240^{\circ}C$ or not roasted, and the juice was extracted using a low-speed juice extractor. Owing to the short duration of roasting, benzo[a]pyrene were not detected and trans fatty acids were negligible detected in all sesame seed juices. The sesame seed juice contained abundant nutrients such as minerals, vitamins, and fatty acids. The contents of minerals, vitamin B1 and B3, and sesamol increased with increase in roasting temperature; however, the levels of fatty acids, vitamin B2, sesamin, and sesamolin decreased. In addition, the antioxidant content and antioxidative activities of sesame seed juice increased with increase in roasting temperature. Therefore, these results suggest that roasted sesame seed juice possesses high antioxidative activities, which may be beneficial for preventing oxidative damage in the body.
For fine-denier cocoon filament production, the precocious trimolting silkworms were induced by the treatments with both the imidazole compound "KK-42" hating anti-juvenile hormone activity and high temperature, and their growth, dietary efficiency, cocoon and cocoon filament qualities were compared with those of normal tetramolters as control. 1. The percentage of precocious trimolters was higher in the application of KK-42 than the treatment of high temperature. The effective concentration of KK-42 was 10$\mu\textrm{g}$/1arva. The high temperature treatment for 48 hour was more effective than 36 hour treatment, and silkworm larvae fed on mulberry leaves were more sensitive than artificial diet to induce trimolters. 2. The larval duration of the trimolters induced by KK-42 was 5.17 day shorter than that of normal tetramolters in mulberry leaves rearing, and the increasing pattern of body weight in the 4th inster larvae of trimotlers was similar to the 5th instar larvae of normal tetramolters. 3. The qualities such as cocoon weight, cocoon layer weight and cocoon layer ratio of precocious trimolter induced by KK-42 were much lower those of normal tetramolters: the cocoon weight and cocoon layer ratio were 0.78g, 14.2cg and 18.4% in mulberry leaves rearing, and 0.86 cg, 10.3cg and 12.3% in artificial diet rearing, respectively. 4. The size of cocoon and cocoon filament was smaller in the precocious trimolter, both KK-42 and high temperature, as compared with that of the normal tetramolters. 5. The efficiency of cocoon layer production of the precocious trimolters by the KK-42 was lower than that of the normal tetramolters: amount of the cocoon layer production per 1g of dry mulberry leaves ingested was 7.97cg in the precocious trimotors, while 9.20cg in the normal tetramolters.

Value Engineering(VE) is an organized effort to create the most value through a functional analysis and creation of alternatives. Depending on the VE job plan, a VE Workshop must be performed in a certain place within a certain period of time. A VE Workshop, which is an organized activity that aims to create the best value through functional analysis and creation of alternatives, should be held in a certain place and at a scheduled time according to the VE job plan. In the Pre-Study, VE Study and Post-Study phases of VE, functional assessments, performance evaluations and idea evaluations are driven by variable management techniques and analysis methods, respectively. Generally, VE is executed for about 3 to 5 days in a particular place to create value. However, there are many problems associated with limiting all VE processes to a specific place and schedule. Moreover, in Korea, VE teams are required to finish all VE processes in a limited time because of the short duration of VE workshops, the necessity of which has been overlooked. Therefore, an efficient VE support system is required to resolve the problem of time and space limitations. In this study, a VE support system based on the Mobile environment was developed to support the VE Workshop process. This VE support system enables participants to review design documents, drawing sheets and all VE-related documents using mobile devices. After the Workshop, participants can conveniently rearrange the result(evaluation of function and ideas) at the workshop. Not only can the members of VE team can review the design documents, drawing sheet and all VE-related documents in the step before the workshop, but also the result(evaluation of function and ideas) of the workshop can be easily rearranged in the phase after the workshop under the developed supporting system using mobile devices.
