Sound Radiation Analysis for Structure Vibration Noise Control of Vehicle Tire under The Action of Random Moving Line Forces (불규칙 이동분포하중을 받는 차량 타이어의 구조 진동소음 제어를 위한 음향방사 해석)

  • A theoretical model has been studied to describe the sound radiation analysis for structure vibration noise of vehicle tires under the action of random moving line forces. When a tire is analyzed, it had been modeled as curved beams with distributed springs and dash pots that represent the radial , tangential stiffness and damping of tire, respectively. The reaction due to fluid loading on the vibratory response of the curved beam is taken into account. The curved beam is assumed to occupy the plane y=0 and to be axially infinite. The curved beam material and elastic foundation are assumed to be lossless Bernoulli-Euler beam theory including a tension force, damping coefficient and stiffness of foundation will be employed. The expression for sound power is integrated numerically and the results examined as a function of Mach number, wave-number ratio and stiffness factor. The experimental investigation for structure vibration noise of vehicle tire under the action of random moving line forces has been made. Based on the Spatial Transformation of Sound Field techniques, the sound power and sound radiation are measured. Results strongly suggest that operation condition in the tire material properties and design factors of the tire govern the sound power and sound radiation characteristics.

Speaker Verification System Based on HMM Robust to Noise Environments (잡음환경에 강인한 HMM기반 화자 확인 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • Intra-speaker variation, noise environments, and mismatch between training and test conditions are the major reasons for the speaker verification system unable to use it practically. In this study, we propose robust end-point detection algorithm, noise cancelling with the microphone property compensation technique, and inter-speaker discriminate technique by weighting cepstrum for robust speaker verification system. Simulation results show that the average speaker verification rate is improved in the rate of 17.65% with proposed end-point detection algorithm using LPC residue and is improved in the rate of 36.93% with proposed noise cancelling and microphone property compensation algorithm. The proposed weighting function for discriminating inter-speaker variations also improves the average speaker verification rate in the rate of 6.515%.

  • In this paper, we studied the configuration and depth measurement method of the crack in the interior of solid with scanning laser acoustic microscope. Precision measurement method of crack depth is required in SLAM because that system reconstructs the shadow image to the transmission coefficient. We proposed this method that used geometrical structure to the shadow area of SLAM images obtained from oblique incidence and the mode conversion of ultrasound in specimen and then experimented it. For this experiment, we fabricated various specimens which had the vertical line-crack with different depth and made the wedge as 20$^{\circ}$ for oblique incidence. Experimental results showed that the shadow area of SLAM images were proportional to the depth of crack. Measured depth error to the crack was less than 6% compared with practical crack depth.

  • This paper suggests a segmentation method of speech signal into phonemic units. The suggested segmentation system is speaker-independent and performed without anyprior information of speech signal. In segmentation process, we first divide input speech signal into purevoiced region and not pure voiced speech regions. After then we apply the second algorithm which segments each region into the detailed phonemic units by using the voiced detection parameters, i.e., the time variation of 0th LPC cepstrum coefficient parameter and the ZCR parameter. Types of speech, used to prove the availability of segmentation algorithm suggested in this paper, are the vocabulary composed of isolated words and continuous words. According to the experiments, the successful segmentation rate for 507 phonemic units involved in the total vocabulary is 91.7%.

Channel-attentive MFCC for Improved Recognition of Partially Corrupted Speech (부분 손상된 음성의 인식 향상을 위한 채널집중 MFCC 기법)

  • We propose a channel-attentive Mel frequency cepstral coefficient (CAMFCC) extraction method to improve the recognition performance of speech that is partially corrupted in the frequency domain. This method introduces weighting terms both at the filter bank analysis step and at the output probability calculation of decoding step. The weights are obtained for each frequency channel of filter bank such that the more reliable channel is emphasized by a higher weight value. Experimental results on TIDIGITS database corrupted by various frequency-selective noises indicated that the proposed CAMFCC method utilizes the uncorrupted speech information well, improving the recognition performance by 11.2% on average in comparison to a multi-band speech recognition system.

Generating Korean Energy Contours Using Vector-regression Tree (벡터 회귀 트리를 이용한 한국어 에너지 궤적 생성)

  • This study describes an energy contour generation method for Korean n systems. We propose a vector-regression tree, which is a vector version of a scalar regression tree. A vector-regression tree predicts a response vector for an unknown feature vector. In our study, the tree yields a vector containing ten sampled energy values for each phone. After collecting 500 sentences and its corresponding speech corpus, we trained trees on 300 sentences and tested them on 200 sentences. We construct a bagged tree and a born again one to improve the performance of contour prediction. In the experiment, we got a 0.803 correlation coefficient for the observed and predicted energy values.

  • 기존의 고분자 자체를 그냥 쓰거나 (발포체 형태로 만들면 음파가 내부의 공기 층을 통과할 때 주위의 벽과 마찰이나 점성 저항에 의해 음파의 에너지의 일부가 고분자 매트릭스의 열에너지로 변화하여 고분자에 흡수된다) 유리섬유나 석면(광물면), 식물 섬유류를 넣어 복합재료로 만들어 기능성과 물리적인 성질(강도, 치수 안정성, 방염성, 내후성, 단열성 등)을 높여왔다. 하지만 고분자의 이온기에 변화에 따른 음향 특성의 변화에 따른 연구는 없었다. 본 논문에서는 고분자의 흡음 성질을 향상시키기 위해 이온기를 가지고 있는 고분자나 산 혹은 염기 작용기를 가진 고분자를 합성하고 또한 이들 고분자들을 블렌딩하여 이들의 음향학적 성질을 알아 보려한다. 흡음율을 측정하기 위한 방법으로는 2-마이크로폰법을 이용하고 임피던스 관내의 얇고 지름이 작은 시편 샘플들의 음향인자를 측정이 가능하도록 기존에 사용되고 있는 콘덴서 마이크로폰이 아닌 프로브 마이크로폰을 이용하였다. $\;^{(1)}$ 특별히 실험을 위해 제작된 아이오노머는 PS, P$(S-14.3-AZn^{2+})$, P$(S-14.5-SSNH_4)$, P(S-6.6-ITANa), P(S-8.95-ITANa) 등의 고분자를 블렌딩한 샘플을 이용하여 흡음 패턴을 측정하였다.

  • This paper describes the study on isolated word recognition by using DHMM(Dynamic Hidden Markov Model) which has dynamic feature of spectrum as a parameter. This paper discusses speech recognition experiment basedon HMM which can evaluate not only instantaneous spectral features but also dynamic spectral features. LPC cepstrum parameters is used as a static feature and LPC cepstrum's regression coefficient is used as a dynamic feature. These two features are quantized by each VQ codebook. DHMM is modeled by receiving static vector and dynamic vector by input. In the whole experiment, as recognition experiment using DHMM shows 92.7% of recognition rate while the experiment using conventional HMM shows 88.8% of recognition rate, DHMM proved to be a useful model.

  • The propagation of coherent time-harmonic elastic SH waves in a medium with random distribution of cylindrical inclusions is studied for characterizing the dynamic elastic modulus and the attenuation property of fiber-reinforced composite materials. A multiple scattering theory using the single scattering coefficients in conjunction with the Lax's quasicrystalline approximation is derived and from which the dispersion relation for such medium is obtained. The pair-correlation functions between the cylinders which are needed to formulate the multiple scattering interaction between the cylinders are obtained by Monte Carlo simulation method.From the numerically calculated complex wavenumbers, the propagation speed of the average wave, the coherent attenuation coefficient and the effective shear modulus are presented as functions of frequency and area density.

  • Characteristics of a piezoelectric material are evaluated to pick up the optimal crystal cut and propagation direction for a SAW device. For the piezoelectric single crystal $LiTaO_4$, such items are investigated as the Rayleigh wave velocity, the electromechanical coupling factor, the surface permittivity, the frequency-temperature coefficient, the air loading attenuation, the pure mode propagation, the beam steering and the misalignment sensitivity. Theoretical calculations reveal that Y-cut and Z-propagation is the optimal SAW propagation path. The results are confirmed through experiments. The method empolyed in this paper is applicable to other crystals, too, either single or poly crystals.
