칼만 필터를 이용한 구조 안전성 모니터링에 관한 기초 연구 (A Basic Study on Structural Health Monitoring using the Kalman Filter)

  • For the success of a structural integrity management, it is essential to acquire structural response data at some critical locations with limited number of sensors. In this study, the structural response of numerical model was estimated by data fusion approach based on the Kalman filter known as stochastic recursive filter. Firstly, transient direct analysis was conducted to calculate the acceleration and strain of the numerical standing beam model, then the noise signals were mixed to generate the numerical measurement signals. The acceleration measurement signal was provided to the Kalman filter as an information on the external load, and the displacement measurement, which was transformed from the strain measurement by using strain-displacement conversion relationship, was provided into the Kalman filter as an observation information. Finally, the Kalman filter estimated the displacement by combining both displacements calculated from each numerically measured signal, then the estimated results were compared with the results of the transient direct analysis.

사출성형에서 공정 중 금형의 진동 크기 변화를 활용한 냉각시간 모니터링에 대한 연구 (A study on the monitoring of cooling time using the change in the magnitude of mold vibration in injection molding)

  • In this study, during the injection molding process, a device was manufactured and evaluated that calculates a cooling time by measuring a vibration signal generated from a mold using an acceleration. The last two parts, one of which has a large magnitude change in the measured vibration signal of a mold, were divided into a cooling start section (paking end section) and a mold opening section, and the time difference at the relevant points was calculated as the cooling time. The cooling time was monitored on a 5-inch light guide plate mold by applying the method. The manufactured device was attached to a fixed base of mold to measure the cooling time, and data was obtained remotely using Bluetooth technology. Then, the measured cooling time was compared with the cooling time set in the injection molding machine to evaluate the accuracy. As a result of the experiment, the cooling times measured by the devices were 15.675±0.024 sec, 20.637±0.014 sec and 25.623±0.079 sec of each conditions. Also, the measurement results were shown with errors of 0.655±0.044 sec, 0.637±0.014 sec, and 0.662±0.013 sec, respectively.

자전거 신호등의 신호변환시간 산출에 관한 연구 (A Study for Minimum Requirements Time of Bicycle Signal Clearance Interval)

  • 최근 서울시를 비롯한 대도시를 중심으로 자전거 전용도로가 설치되면서 자전거 이용자가 급증하는 실정이며, 이에 따라 보행자와 자전거, 자동차와 자전거간의 상충이 빈번한 실정이다. 이를 해결하기 위해서 자동차/자전거/보행자를 시 공간적으로 분리해주는 자전거 전용신호이 도입되었다. 그러나 자전거의 경우, 자동차와 속도 등의 특성이 상이하므로 자전거 이용자를 위한 별도의 신호변환시간이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 AASHTO에서 제시한 자전거 신호등의 신호변환시간 산출공식을 이용하여 자전거의 평균속도 및 감속도 등을 현장실험을 통해 별도로 도출하여 우리나라 실정에 맞는 자전거 신호등의 신호변환시간을 제시하였다. 결과적으로, AASHTO에서 제시한 감속도값 2.0m/sec2이상의 값은 자전거 이용자의 급정지에 해당하는 값에 해당하므로 도로여건 등을 고려하여 가급적 적용하지 않는 편이 타당한 것으로 분석되었다.

가속도 ARX 모델을 사용한 국부손상 탐색 (Local Damage Detection Using Acceleration ARX Model)

  • 본 연구에서는 동적 가속도 데이터를 사용하는 신호기반 손상진단 알고리즘으로 ARX 모델을 제시하였다. ARX 모델은 구조물의 두 지점에서 계측된 가속도 데이터를 입력과 출력의 두 세트 신호로 보고, 두 세트 가속도 데이터의 상관관계를 설정한다. 구조물 손상은 계측한 데이터와 전달함수인 ARX 모델로 예측한 데이터의 차이인 시간이력 잔차를 사용하여 통계적으로 탐색하였다. 시간이력 잔차의 정규분포함수를 구하고, 그 통계적 특성치를 계산하여 손상 평가에 사용하였다. 손상 전후의 정규분포함수를 비교하여 손상을 탐색하기 위하여 세 가지 손상지수를 제시하였다. 손상지수의 통계적 평가를 위해 실내실험을 수행하였고, 제안한 알고리즘의 효율성을 검증하고 제한점을 검토하였다.

  • 7톤급 터보펌프 실매질시험에서 계측된 고주파 신호인 가속도와 압력섭동에 대한 주파수 분석(waterfall, frequency spectrum), 실효값(RMS) 계산 등의 신호 처리를 통해 산화제펌프의 신뢰성을 평가하였다. 계측된 압력섭동 신호 분석을 통해 산화제펌프의 누설 유로에 위치한 산화제 후방 플로팅 링에 의한 강한 압력섭동이 발생하였고 이는 산화제펌프 입구 및 출구 압력과 가속도 신호에도 영향을 주는 것을 확인하였다. 터보펌프의 가속도 실효값 계산을 통해 정격 운용 조건에서의 터보펌프는 양호한 진동 성능을 보여주고 있으며 가속도 회전수 성분 중 축계에 영향을 주는 회전수 동기 주파수 성분이 강하게 나타나는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 최근 IT기술이 발달함에 따라 다양한 생체신호 측정 기기에 대한 연구 및 관심이 높아지고 있는 이유 중 하나로 고령사회가 본격화됨에 따라 IT 관련 기술을 이용한 고령 인구에 대한 연구가 지속해서 발전되고 있다. 본 논문은 초고령사회에 접어들면서 빠르게 발전하고 있는 노인층을 대상으로 한 의료서비스 영역 중 하나인 생활 패턴 감지와 낙상 감지 알고리즘 개발에 관한 것이다. 3축 가속도 센서와 심전도 센서를 이용한 시스템을 구성하여 데이터를 수집한 뒤 데이터를 분석하는 과정으로 진행하였고 실제 연구 결과로부터 행동 패턴의 분류가 가능함을 제안한다. 본 논문에 의해 구현된 인체 활동 모니터링 시스템의 유용성을 평가하기 위하여 자세 변화, 보행속도의 변화 등 다양한 조건에서 실험을 수행하여 인체의 중력 가속도와 인체 활동 정도를 반영하는 신호크기 범위 및 신호 벡터크기 파라미터를 추출하였다. 그리고 이들 파라미터값에 의해 피검자의 상태에 따라 판별이 가능하였다.

가속도 및 각속도 신호를 이용한 낙상 인지 시스템 구현 (Implementation of a Falls Recognition System Using Acceleration and Angular Velocity Signals)

  • In this study, we developed a falling recognition system to transmit SMS data through CDMA communication using a three axises acceleration sensor and a two axises gyro sensor. 5 healthy men were selected into a control group, and the fall recognition system using the three axises acceleration sensor and the two axises gyro sensor was devised to conduct an experiment. The system was attached to the upper of their sternum. According to the experiment protocol, the experiment was carried out 3 times repeatedly divided into 3 specific protocols: falling during gait, falling in stopped state, and falling in everyday life. Data obtained in the falling recognition system and LabVIEW 8.5 were used to decide if falling corresponds to that regulated in an analysis program applying an algorithm proposed in this study. In addition, results from falling recognition were transmitted to designated cellular phone in a SMS (Shot Message Service) form. These research results show that an erroneous detection rate of falling reached 19% in applying an acceleration signal only; 6% in applying an angular velocity; and 2% in applying a proposed algorithm. Such finding suggests that an erroneous detection rate of falling is improved when the proposed algorithm is applied incorporated with acceleration and angular velocity. In this study therefore, we proposed that a falling recognition system implemented in this study can make a contribution to the recognition of falling of the aged or the disabled.

적정 포장설계를 위한 과실의 유통 중 진동의 계측 및 분석 (Vibration Measurement and Analysis During Fruits Distribution for Optimum Packaging Design)

  • The freight vehicle is mostly used to transport the fruit. Shock and impact generated by the freight vehicle may give serious damage to fruits hence to reduce the fruits damage, the optimum packaging design during transportation by vehicle is required. In order to design the packaging system for fruit transportation optimally, the comprehension of characteristic for vibration and shock acting on vehicles under various road conditions and loading methods is required. This research was performed to analyze the shock characteristics, acceleration level and power spectral density (PSD) of the fruit transportation vehicles under several travel roads and positions. The vibration signal was measured and analyzed at the transportation vehicle operating on the road of three different surface conditions. The maximum acceleration was measured at the rear-end of the vehicle, and the acceleration in the direction of up-and-down (z-axis) was much greater than those in the directions of back-and-forth (x-axis) or right-and-left (y-axis). The peak acceleration in the direction of up-and-down (z-axis) at the vehicle driving on the expressway, the local road paved with concrete, and unpaved local road were 5.3621 G, 8.232 G, and 14.162 G respectively. PSD at 2.44 Hz showed maximum value at all road conditions. The maximum values of PSD on the expressway, a local road paved with concrete, and unpaved local road were 0.0075222 $G^2/Hz$, 0.058655 $G^2/Hz$, and 0.24598 $G^2/Hz$ respectively. The value of PSD decreased with an increase of the vibration frequency of the transportation vehicle. In most cases, the vibration frequency was below 20 Hz during transportation.

CONVERGENCE ACCELERATION OF LMS ALGORITHM USING SUCCESSIVE DATA ORTHOGONALIZATION

  • It is well-known that the convergence rate gets worse when an input signal to an adaptive filter is correlated. In this paper we propose a new adaptive filtering algorithm that makes the convergence rate highly improved even for highly correlated input signals. By introducing an orthogonal constraint between successive input signal vectors, we overcome the slow convergence problem caused by the correlated input signal. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm yields highly improved convergence speed and excellent tracking capability under both time-invariant and time varying environments, while keeping both computation and implementation simple.

  • To identify forklift's booming noise in cabin under idling engine revolution, we discussed and applied conditioned input analysis. Acceleration signals at engine mounts and front window and rear window were considered as candidate input signals and output signal was sound pressure signal at driver's ear position in cabin. To reduce the numbers of the input signals, one idea were applied; Each one input signal from each input groups was selected, respectively because input signals in the same group were highly correlated. And Hilbert transform was used to determine the ordering of three selected inputs. Partial coherence functions, multiple coherence function and conditioned spectral density functions were investigate to the effects of booming noise by partial inputs.
