This paper presents an investigation of the ground response of a gob-side gateroad suffering mining stress induced by a 21 m-thick coal seam extraction. A field observation, including entry convergence and stress changes monitoring, was first conducted in the tailgate 8209. The observation results of entry convergence showed that, during the adjacent panel 8210 retreating period, the deformation of the gob-side gateroad experienced a continuous increase stage, subsequently, an accelerating increase stage, and finally, a slow increase stage. However, strong ground response, including roof bending deflection, rib extrusion and floor heave, occurred during the current panel 8209 retreating period, and the maximum floor heave reached 1530 mm. The stress changes within coal mass of the two ribs demonstrated that the gateroad was always located in the stress concentrated area, which responsible for the strong response of the tailgate 8209. Subsequently, a hydraulic fracture technique was proposed to pre-fracture the two hard roofs above the tailgate 8209, thus decreasing the induced disturbance on the tailgate. The validity of the above roof treatment was verified via field application. The finding of this study could be a reference for understanding the stability control of the gob-side gateroad in extra thick coal seams mining.
The Korean peninsular is a typical mountainous terrain country which has 75% of mountains with having featuring of east-high west-low and north-high south-low type. Though the physiographic feature is not changed, the future operational environment has been frequently changed through artificial transformation by people living in the city. While Korea has been changed continuously since 2000, 90% of Korean territory has been urbanized and the majority of people live in the city. In particular, in the case of combat in urban area, there might be lots of limitations because of confusing with millions of people and complex buildings. The combat commanders should make an effort to overcome such difficulties through detailed IPB(Intelligence preparation in the battlefield) considering various situation before planning for major operations. They should change warfighting concept and paradigm. This paper finds the normal characteristics of urban operation and physical traits of the Korean peninsular. As the urbanization has been accelerating in Korea, practical implications about how to prepare the urban operation are discussed.
This study aims to achieve the following goal. Goal is to do the comparative analysis through the in-depth investigation of global technology commercialization agencies and program. In the era of global competition, The change to the innovation-driven economy through the creation and diffusion of technology is accelerating in the world. For the global technology and market changes and efficient information management, systematic support system for local SMEs is required. To this end, we researched and analyzed the level of technology and commercialization trends in major foreign countries, and major domestic and international institutes, and technology commercialization programs. Based on this, we draw the domestic SMEs' expansion strategy and information support plan to enter the global market.
In this paper, the method of processing a blurred noisy signal has been researched. The conventional method of processing signal has faults which are slow-convergence speed and long time-consuming process at the singular point and in the ill condition. There is the process, the Gauss-Seidel's method to remove these faults, but it takes too much time because it processes signal repeatedly. For overcoming the faults, this paper shows a signal process method which takes shorter than the Tikhnov-Miller's by comparing the Tikhnov-Miller's with proposed algorithm and accelerating convergence speed at the singular point in the ill condition. In this paper, the conventional process method and proposed optimal algorithm were used to get a standard image (256 * 256 * 8bits),and then the results are simulated and compared each other in order to examine the variance of MSE ( Mean-Square Error ) by the acceleration parameter in the proposed two dimensional signal procedures. The result of the signal process and the processing time was measured at all change of acceleration parameter in order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
Recently, as smart phone technology is developing, wearable devices is also accelerating. But, the wearable device is necessary to operated for a long time with a small electric power because werable device is made compact. In this paper, we design and implement efficient lithium polymer battery model suitable to miniaturized wearable device in oder to maximize ease of use. The proposed model is characterized by a compact size of the battery by applying a thermal element and a light-weight battery. Also, proposed model gives greatly improve the life of wearable devices because it uses a method using the characteristics of the Peltier device using the temperature difference between the room temperature and body temperature of a person to generate power for charging. In particular, the proposed model can be used for the wearable device, as well as auxiliary charging of the smart phone.
Older drivers have an increased risk of accidents due to poor function, but they also develop self-regulation ability to check their own changes. Thus, information on whether the actual elderly driver responds to changes in driving ability and risk may provide a meaningful basis for the clinic and research of the elderly's driving ability assessment. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the evaluation of elderly drivers by analyzing the driving risk self-perception characteristics in terms of driving behavior and function with Korean elderly drivers. A self-reporting assessment was conducted on 500 elderly drivers living in the community and the characteristics of driving risk perception were analyzed. As a result, it was confirmed that many elderly drivers are aware of the driving risk when their vision and hearing are impaired or when they find it difficult to adapt to changes in driving conditions. On the other hand, the characteristics of insensitive reactions to changes in medical health conditions, such as drug use or epilepsy, seizures, and loss of consciousness, were identified. The researcher hopes this study will contribute to the safety management of elderly drivers in Korea, where aging is accelerating.

With the advent of the fourth industrial revolution, the digital transformation craze has intensified in diverse industries, such as finance, automotive, health care and agriculture. However, relative to industry demand, there is only few domestic research on digital transformation of small traders and no one has implemented empirical study on this field at all. Thus, the study conducted an empirical study to measure the digital transformation intention of domestic small traders. In the early days of domestic business start-ups, we searched for factors affecting the digital conversion intention of small business owners and designed an integrated framework to explain the causal relationship between factors. This study not only expanded and refined the scope of related research but also suggested the direction of another research that was not presented in previous research. However, there are limitations in many ways as much as the initial stage of a specific field of small business owners. There are limitations in explaining the overall perception of Korean small business owners. Therefore, in future studies, it is necessary to study more deeply by presenting more specific and various variables. In addition, although the number of respondents was sufficient in the process of empirical analysis, it is considered that the respondents are not enough to universalize the research result as a traditional small business person who did not convert all digital. It is necessary to carry out a comparative analysis by dividing the two groups in more detail and more specifically in the future study. The result of this study can suggest the direction for accelerating small traders' digital transformation intention in terms of practical view, and provide useful references which can support the theoretical foundation for researchers who will perform future related research in terms of academic view.
The advent of massively parallel sequencing, also called next-generation sequencing (NGS), has dramatically influenced cancer genomics by accelerating the identification of novel molecular alterations. Using a whole genome sequencing (WGS) approach, we identified somatic coding and noncoding variants that may contribute to leukemogenesis in 11 adult Korean acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients, with serial tumor samples (primary and relapse) available for 5 of them; somatic variants were identified in 187 AML-related genes, including both novel (SIN3A, C10orf53, PTPRR, and RERGL) and well-known (NPM1, RUNX1, and CEPBA) AML-related genes. Notably, SIN3A expression shows prognostic value in AML. A newly designed method, referred to as "hot-zone" analysis, detected two putative functional noncoding variants that can alter transcription factor binding affinity near PPP1R10 and SRSF1. Moreover, the functional importance of the SRSF1 noncoding variant was further investigated by luciferase assays, which showed that the variant is critical for the regulation of gene expression leading to leukemogenesis. We expect that further functional investigation of these coding and noncoding variants will contribute to a more in-depth understanding of the underlying molecular mechanisms of AML and the development of targeted anti-cancer drugs.
Korea is promoting a digital new deal policy for the digital transformation and innovation accelerating of the industry. However, because of the strict existing data-related laws, there are still restrictions on the industry's use of data for the digital new deal policy. In order to solve this issue, a revised bill of the Data 3 Act has been proposed, but there is still insufficient discussion on how it will actually affect the activation of data use in the industry. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the perception of public opinion on the Data 3 Act and the implications of the revision of the Data 3 Act. To this end, the revision of the Data 3 Act and related research trends were analyzed, and the perception of the Data 3 Act was analyzed using a big data analysis technique. According to the analysis results, while promoting the vitalization of the data industry in line with the purpose of the revision, the Data 3 Act has a concern that it focuses on specific industries. The results of this study are meaningful in providing implications for future improvement plans by analyzing online perceptions of the industrial impact of the Data 3 Act in the early stages of implementation through big data analysis.
In this research, we would like to understand the measures to be taken in the event of a patent dispute by Chinese companies that are growing rapidly and competing with Korean companies in the global market, at a time when the fusion and compounding technology are accelerating. For this reason, the patent dispute countermeasures shown in the previous research were derived through deep interviews with experts, and a questionnaire survey was conducted with patent practitioners of Chinese companies. As a result of the analysis, the importance of cross licensing, patent invalidation proceedings, proceedings through collaboration with other companies, royalty payments, and patent invalidation proceedings in the case of a patent dispute in the Chinese industry is high. Shown. The results of this study provide practical guidelines to help corporate patent practitioners understand the best course of action in the event of a patent dispute, respond in a timely manner, and save time and money. It seems that it can be done.
