  • Corrosion is very serious problem in RC structure under ocean environment. There is no enough experiment information using the reinforced geo polymer concrete applied by electo chemical protection system. Three condition, such as tidal zone, submerged zone and crack were simulated to geo polymer specimen. Corrosion rate and natural electrode potential were measured through accelerated test. Anti corrosion property of geo polymer was better than OPC regardless of specimen condition and applied time.

  • A large Pc structure building is system that consisted of bearing wall and slab joint. It has general structure stability from unity thar each members tied at joint. The strength of mortar that packing in joint among panels is important to internal force in entire building system. Do, if we could get early strength estimation with microwave. It would bring good construction planning, reduce construction time, and judge building stability and so on. The purpose of this study is to develop early estimation method for making better quality control and constructing good PC panel structure. The results of this study were as follows :1) With sealed molds, reduced moisture volatilization to more than 60% and enlarged 30% accelerated compressive strength than before one. 2) To get more accelerated strength, we should control maximum temperature difference to $30^{\circ}C$ downward 3)Interrelation with 7-day and 28-day strength were 0.831,0.902, and it is above than before one

  • The failures such as leakage and burst stemmed from the repetitive motions of bending and stretching of the assembly of hydraulic hose in construction machines, agriculture machines, vehicles, and industrial heavy machines can induce big troubles. Therefore, the hydraulic hose itself eventually requires an estimation of life to operate the hydraulic system safely. In this research, we have qualitatively selected the efficient test items by the analysis of the life and potential failures of hydraulic hose. We have used more than seven of hydraulic hoses simultaneously for the research. We have applied impulse pressure and half omega flexing motions to the accelerated life testing Test results have been expressed by employing weibull plot.

  • This paper presents a study on the selection of optimal mix proportions for producing lightweight pre-foam concrete as a substitute for Autoclaved Lightweight Concrete (ALC) without the accelerated curing. The study was conducted using a rapid hardening binder made from by-products of the steel industry as the primary raw material. The experimental results established the optimal mix proportions, which included retarder content, water/binder ratio, foam content, and fiber inclusion amount, for the production of lightweight foam concrete. The optimal mix proportion was determined to have a retarder content at the minimum amount required to secure the working time, W/B of 35%, a foam content limited to 65% or less, and a fiber inclusion amount of 0.05% or less.

  • Recently in Japan, fracturing was observed on the diagonal member of a through truss bridge at the boundary region with the concrete slab. Local corrosion damage where the diagonal member was enclosed in the concrete slab is an important factor in the fracture. In this study, accelerated exposure tests were carried out on concrete-steel model specimens simulating steel members at the boundary with concrete. Fatigue tests were then performed on the corroded model specimens. Accelerated exposure tests of the S6-cycle, which is carried out on the model specimens for 150, 300, 450 and 600 da ys. Their surface geometry was then measured. From the accelerated exposure test results, change in maximum and mean corrosion depths was determined according to the testing periods. The effect of local corrosion on fatigue strength was also presented based on the fatigue test results.

  • In this study, to clarify the differences rebar corrosion beginning, through the actual corrosion accelerated test in corrosion time and laboratory test chamber of the structure of the marine environment results in both environments, it is an object of correlation coefficient derived. The accelerated corrosion test was carried out by two case, I.e., one is $20^{\circ}C$ of low temperaure codition(case 1), and the other is $65^{\circ}C$ of high temperaute codition(case 2). Whether corroions occurs, it was measures using half-cell potential method. The results indicated that case 2 is to acclerate the corrosion of rebar about 1.7~1.8 times as compared with case 1, thenthe corrosion of rebar embadded in concrete occurred according to the order of OPC60, FA, BS, OPC35. Correlation coefficient between acclerated corrosion test and long-term exposure test, case 1 is 2.45 to 2.94, and case 2 is 4.37~4.99.

  • In life testing, the lifetimes of test units under the usual conditions are so long that life testing at usual conditions is impractical. Testing units are subjected to conditions of high stress to yield informations quickly. In this paper, the inferences of parameters on the three step-stress accelerated life testing are studied. The two-parameter exponential distribution with a failure rate function that a log-quadratic function of stress and the tempered failure rate model are considered. We obtain the maximum likelihood estimators of the model parameters and their confidence regions. A numerical example will be given to illustrate the proposed inferential procedures.

  • Corrosion is important reason for the deterioration of the bond between reinforcing steel and the surrounding concrete. Corrosion of the steel mainly depends on its microstructure. Smooth S220, ribbed S420 and S500 grade reinforcing steels were used in the experiments. Samples were subjected to accelerated corrosion. Pullout tests were carried out to evaluate the effects of corrosion on bond strength of the specimens. S500 grade steel which has tempered martensite microstructure showed lower corrosion rate in concrete than S220 and S420 steels which have ferrite+perlite microstructure. S500 grade steel showed highest bond strength among the other steel grades in concrete. Bond strength between reinforcing steel and concrete increased with increase in the strength of steel and concrete. It also depends on whether reinforcing bar is ribbed or not.

  • Accelerated and field degradation tests are performed for reliability assessment of an anticorrosive paint for steel structures. Test data were analyzed to obtain the degradation model and the life time distributions of the paint. A power law degradation model and lognormal performance distribution were used to predict the lifetime of the anticorrosive paint and the method of finding an acceleration factor is provided.
