Objective: This purpose of this study was to analyze articles and research trends in children's free-choice activities in major domestic journals published from 1998 to 2017. Methods: Registered research papers in academic journals from 1998 to 2017 for the National Research Foundation of Korea were analyzed in terms of trends in their annual submission numbers, research subject, research type, research area. and research theme. Results: The quantity of the studies has more than doubled since 2010 but has decreased in recent years. Studies about free-choice activities for young children held the majority of research subjects while physical subjects such as literature, class, and education plans were in the minority. Furthermore, qualitative research, fusion qualitative, and survey were the most common research types while literature review studies were less common. Most research themes were studies about contemplation, actual conditions and perception, factor analysis, and programs of free-choice activities for young children. Conclusion/Implications: Considering the results of this study, further studies on free-choice activities for young children must be conducted.

Purpose: This research was aimed to explore the major subjects and research themes and to classify characteristics of the key words in the Journal of Korean Academic Society of Nursing Education 2007. Method: A total of 33 published papers during 2007 were analyzed with structured analysis forms. Result: Most of the research subjects were healthy people such as student nurses and RNs. The topics of education related research were categorized into 9 domains: educational methods, educational curriculum, study type & methods, knowledge level & contents, psychosocial variables related to knowledge & education, attitude, behavior, development & evaluation of educational programs, and effects of educational programs. The most common key words in this papers were concepts related to health risk factors and health promotion. Quantitative research was used about 70% overall, while experimental design was 18.2%. Conclusion: Most of the subjects were healthy people and the most common domain was health related concepts in the Journal of Korean Academic Society of Nursing Education. In addition, key words and topics were on nursing educational issues. It can be concluded that the Journal of Korean Academic Society of Nursing Education has published mainly education focused papers.
Endometriosis is a common, benign gynecological disease which is determined as an overspreading of endometrial tissue in exterior region of the uterine cavity. Evidence suggests that retrograde menstrual blood which contains mesenchymal stem cells with differential gene expression compared to healthy women may play a role in endometriosis creation. We aimed to identify whether the conditioned medium (CM) from menstrual blood-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MenSCs) of healthy women can affect the expression level of inflammatory and stemness genes of MenSCs from endometriosis women. Endometriosis-derived MenSCs (E-MenSCs) were treated with CM derived from healthy women's MenSCs (non-endometriosis derived MenSCs [NE-MenSCs]). Some CD markers were analyzed by flow cytometer before and after treatment compared with NE-MenSCs, and the expression level of inflammatory and stemness genes was evaluated by real-time PCR. E-MenSCs show different morphology in vitro culture in comparison with NE-MenSCs, which were changed in the presence of CM, into a morphology more similar to normal cells and showed significant decrease expression of CD10 after CM treatment. In our results, the interleukin-1, cyclooxygenase-2, and hypoxia-inducible factor 1α as inflamaturay genes and octamer-binding transcription factor 4, NANOG, and sex determining region Y-box 2 as stemness genes showed significantly different expression level in E-MenSCs after treating with CM. Our study indicates that the expression level of some inflammatory- and stemness-related genes which have differential expression in E-MenSCs compared with NE-MenSCs, could be changed to normal status by using CM derived from NE-MenSCs.
This study chose the academic journals related with e-sports for analysis among the top tier journals of National Research Foundation of Korea from 2006 to 2011 to check the academic trend Beginning in 2006, the first study of e-sports was published in the journal related with e-sports. So, the studies from 2006 to 2011 were chosen for analysis. Using Research Information Sharing Service(RISS), the keyword 'e-sports' was searched. By virtue of this process, total 27 studies were selected as final analysis. So, the academic trends are as follows. In Korea, the studies related with e-sports have started from the beginning of 2000s with internet and then it spread out via cable TV. And then from the middle of 2000s, e-sports was discussed seriously. The early subject of the studies usually focused on the measurement of e-sports based on the strategic elements as a product. After that, game addiction and violent tendency which were one of the biggest issues were raised as a constant problem and it became the academic studies of user behavior. E-sports became a recreation culture of teenagers so it has been in charge of the role of exit and the problems related with it have continuously appeared. So, the academic studies tend to have departmentalization like immersion, addiction, sociality, self-regulation and etc. But, there was a tendency that the similar contents were repeated in the view point of subject and method while the subjects were departmentalized. So, for the systematic study of e-sports, development of the unique subject, study method and verification process should be conducted continuously.

The study aims to establish the concept of customerized research information services in academic libraries and to build librarians' consensus on the need for customerized research information services. The literature review enabled summarizations of the definition of research information service, customerization, and research trends. A categorization process resulted in a list of research information services of academic libraries. The Delphi method survey revealed the necessity of providing research information services and applying customerization to research information services based on the opinions of librarians. The librarians agreed on eight research information services using customerization services. This study has significance because it proposed new attempts to improve and develop research information services and explored ways to enhance the expertise and value of academic libraries by forming a consensus among librarians.

Korean academic libraries are facing serious space shortage problems due to an inability to accommodate for the rapidly increasing number of printed materials. Despite the current situation, Korean academic libraries have largely focused on impractical applications of the new library paradigm, using technology or management programs to improve the quality of research and learning environments of the university. However, such improvements would be fruitless without first resolving the space shortage crisis. In order to make realistic improvements to the quality of academic libraries, this study used questionnaires to employ the opinions of librarians currently practicing at such Korean libraries. Survey questionnaires about types and causes of space shortage problems, library facility expansion plans, expected effects of expansion, frequency of and reasons for furniture relocation, and tight spaces needing improvement were distributed to selected 4-year college librarians through Google Drive. Analysis of survey responses indicated that library space shortage was largely responsible for the hindrance of research and learning environments. Furthermore, it reflected the urgency to secure book storage space.
This study examines the longitudinal effect of goal perception, mathematics class factors(perceptions about mathematics teachers (PMT), mathematics classroom attitude), and mathematics academic achievement. This study consists of three research models. First, we examined the longitudinal change of goal perception, perceptions about mathematics teachers (PMT), mathematics classroom attitude, and mathematics academic achievement using latent growth curve modeling. Secondly, the slope of PMT is a critical mediator between the slope of goal perception and the slope of mathematics academic achievement. Finally, the slope of mathematics classroom attitude is a critical mediator between the slope of goal perception and the slope of mathematics academic achievement. Data were extracted from Seoul Education Longitudinal Study from 2010 to 2012 (in three waves), and the analysis used by middle school students, measured by 4163 students of the three-wave surveys. Latent growth modeling was applied to verify the research problems. The results of the research are as follows. First, the slope of goal perception had positive and significant effects on the slope of PMT and mathematics classroom attitude, respectively. Second, the slope of PMT and mathematics classroom attitude had positively significant effects on the slope of mathematics academic achievement. Finally, it was confirmed that the slopes of PMT and mathematics classroom attitude are critical mediators between the slope of goal perception and the slope of mathematics academic achievement.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), an apex body of controlling technical education in India, has made mandatory subscription of e-Resources to all its Engineering College Libraries. This policy has directly helped the teaching community, research scholars, and student's paternity, which has benefits for their teaching, research activities, and curriculum, respectively. This study emphasizes the usefulness of e-Resources among the teachers and scholars of engineering colleges in the Bangalore region under Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, Karnataka. Survey methodology has been used as the basic research tool for data collection with the help of questionnaires. 866 teaching faculties in VTU were selected randomly on the basis of willingness of users who access the e-Resources for their academic and research activities in the survey. The survey results were tabulated and analyzed with descriptive statistics methods using the SPSS 20 software package. The findings reveal that e-resources are useful for engineering college teachers and scholars for their academic and research activities.
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to determine the general characteristics of students in dental technology departments; the correlations among their immersion in learning, class satisfaction, and academic achievement; factors influencing online learning experience; ways to improve students' class satisfaction; and basic data for designing effective online courses. Methods: A total of 300 questionnaires were produced and distributed to dental technology students from September 29 through October 8, 2020. The outcome was analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 25.0. A significance level of α=0.05 was used for reliable verification. Results: Immersion in learning, class satisfaction, and academic achievement were relatively high among students who studied on a regular basis, and class satisfaction and academic achievement were relatively high among students who studied with almost no interruption. Concerning the correlations between academic achievement, immersion in learning, and class satisfaction in online learning, the correlation between academic achievement and class satisfaction was the highest at r=0.862. Class satisfaction was the largest factor that influenced academic achievement, and the higher students' immersion in learning and class satisfaction were, the higher their academic achievement was. Conclusion: The research is a case study that investigated the general characteristics of dental technology department students and the correlations among their immersion in learning, class satisfaction, and academic achievement. The study outcome could be used in determining factors that influence online learning and designing effective online courses that improve learner satisfaction.
This study analyzed research trends related to Christian school education in Korea. In order to analyze academic societies and conferences related to Christian school education, the topics of conferences and research results and theses related to Christian school education in Korea were collected to analyze the frequency and trend of Christian school education-related topics. In addition, papers searched as "Christian schools" among the academic journal's published papers were classified and organized. In order to understand research trends related to Christian school education, the year and frequency of academic journals related to Christian school education were analyzed, and the contents of the published papers were divided into research schools, research subjects, and research contents.As a result of analyzing research trends of Christian school education, it was found that there were very few academic exchanges or academic activities related to Christian school education, and most supported lectures and meetings related to the reconstruction of curriculum and class management directly supporting school sites. Therefore, this study proposed that academic societies and conferences should be revitalized in Christian school education-related institutions. In addition, this study found that annual academic conferences of Christian education-related academic societies were rarely held under the theme of Christian school education, and suggested to revitalize research related to Christian school education in the academic societies of Christian education in order that God's kingdom may be restored and expanded in the area of education by recovering school education through active research on Christian school education. Third, as a result of analyzing the papers published in domestic journals, it was confirmed that research on Christian school education was mainly conducted around universities, and the topics were limited to history, curriculum, religious education, identity, and missionary work. In this regard, this study proposed to expand the research topics related to Christian school education. Finally, as a result of analyzing the published academic journals that studied on Christian school education, it was found that the non-Christian camp is also conducting research with interest in Christian schools, and thus, communication with the non-Christian camp was proposed to revitalize research on Christian school education.
