  • This study focuses on analyzing the problems of the Korean standard classification of occupations(KSCO), which is a formal and institutional implementation method that affects the occupational identity and Occupational Prestige of Private Security, and suggests ways to improve it. The following should be supplemented. (1) It is necessary to unify occupations related to private security that are classified into simple labor workers. (2) Delete the Technical Security Guards(4123) and create a Security Guard(4123) instead. (3) Facility Security Guards(41230), Convoy Security Guards, Technical Security Guards(41232), Security monitoring and control personnel(41233), and Special Security Guards(National important facility security guard)(41234) will be newly established. (4) Change the name of subclassification and subclassification in simple labor worker of Major Class 9(Code 9), and adjust Security Guards(9421) to the Surveillance Personnel(9421).

  • Recently the demand for civil bodyguards and security guards shows rapid growth by the social development and improve the quality of life. However the supply and training system have some limitations in spite of the high demand guard-secretary. The main role of secretaries has been to accompany superiors in order to maintain their dignity or trait. But the secretaries are required to play additional roles of safety managers such as a security manager, a protocol manager, an intelligence manager and a protective driver in order to overcome the domestic and the international safety environment and to elevate the quality of service as a competitive work. So, the purpose of this article is to analyse current situation of civil body and security guard training industry and to seek an educational model. For it, the following questions will be examined. First, Do the professional training organizations meet social demand for the body and security guards? Second, What kind of training has to be provide for the body and security guards? and what the qualifications of the trainers? Then, what are the differences in training courses between private organizations and universities? Is there differences in the job placement among the trainers of private organizations and universities? etc.. In summary to meet the social demand common curriculum for the body and security guard will be drawn from the analyses of diverse training organizations with different training courses in contents, training periods, educational value, and social aim.

  • Technology development of modern society reduces times, costs and labor costs but demands work forces requiring expert knowledge on technology. Consequently knowledge worker becomes important. Not changing into a specialist acquired expert knowledge, people can't survive in competitive society. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to grasp the actual condition of private security industry and to examine problems. The final goal is to find the way to improve the professionalism of workers in private security industry. First. Now we must make up for the subject for examination actually and be in a triangular position and complement a professional materials for teaching. At the same time it must strengthen the education using advanced instruments seek to Total Security System. Moreover it is demanded 'institutional supplement of security guard instructors' which means job training for security guard instructor Second. On the job training which can deal with a state of emergency through 'security guard training' with a theory and an actual training must be strengthen. Also, most security guards have low understandings and interests because their ages are from 50's to 60's. Accordingly proper education must be offered to security guard. Third. Certification system of the private security guards are needed to fix the problems on an indiscreet issue and an abuse of license through deliberation on the security license. Fourth. Universities must find a new market to minimize the squandering of human resources because of oversupply and reduce the personnel. Also with enhancing the employment rate through specialized education, universities must offer an education which keeps pace with the times for not an entrance strategy but a long-term development. Effort for education of specialist will produce an improvement in business quality and improved services produce a customer satisfaction. A customer satisfaction will produce a fame of a successful company and positive images in market area. Finally the private industry will be developed by productivity improvement.

  • The U.S. security regulation is under the influence of each state's law; however, they are mostly similar. Among many states which has the longest history of security regulation in the U.S., state of New York has been shown security regulation for a long time. The state of New York has been emphasized the importance of security significantly because it is economically, culturally, and internationally important place at the same time. New York's state law of security business includes: 1. private investigators and bail enforcement agents and watch, guard or patrol agencies license law. 2. Security guard act of 1992~,3. Title 19 New York State's code of rules and regulation (NYCRR). The law of New York City's private security could inspire Korean private security law in many ways. First, administration of professional law and variety of licensure could be an inspiration to the Korean security services. Second, there are intimate partnership between police and private security in the U.S. New York police's private security partnership has been started since 1986 by Area Police/Private Security Liaison (APPL program) and there are about 1,300 of security companies participating. This program provides not only the simple partnership but also giving essential information for promoting public safety.

Analysis of Influencing Relationship Between Private Security Guards' Positive Psychological Capital and Job attitudes (민간경비원의 긍정심리자본과 직무태도 변수간의 영향관계 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between psychological capital on job attitudes. For this purpose, the private security guards who were working at private security companies in Gyeonggi province from September to October, 2016 were selected as the population and the convenience sampling method was used for 310 persons. A total of 295 copies of the questionnaire were used for the final analysis, except for 15 questions that were answered in appropriately or were partially missing. Data were analyzed by frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis and structural equation modeling using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0. The results are as follows. First, the positive psychological capital of the private security guard has a positive(+) effect on job satisfaction. Second, the positive psychological capital of the private security guard has a positive(+) effect on job commitment. Third, job satisfaction of the private security guards has a positive(+) effect on job commitment. Fourth, job satisfaction is partly mediated in the relationship between positive psychological capital and job commitment. In summary, the positive psychological capital of the private security guard is an important variable that positively affects job satisfaction and job commitment, and the higher the job satisfaction of the private security guard, the higher the commitment to the job.

  • The purpose of this paper is to provide basic data for related studies by comparing and analyzing crimes committed by security guards through criminal statistical analysis, and to contribute to the sound development of the private security industry by strengthening the professional ethics of security guards and reducing guard crimes. The purpose. As a results of a comparative analysis of the number of crimes by security guards and the crime rate are as follows. Although the total number of crimes committed in Korea and the number of crimes committed by security guards decreased every year, the crime rate of security guards was higher than the average crime rate. felonious crimes, violent crimes, customs crimes, and special economic crimes were consistently high. As a countermeasure against the results, first, interest in security guard crimes as perpetrators rather than as victims, second, reinforcement of professional ethics education through new training and job training, third, academic development and systematic It appeared as a specification of the definition and current status of security guards for the study.

  • In Korea, Private security companies has steadily grown and amounts to 2,051 places as of November 30, 2002. Private security in korea is carrying out firm name role assignment to have held the police and public peace environment change factors for a standard faithfully, and protects social a little property that is a basic purpose, and it is spare no efforts in loss prevention. In spite of numeral increase of private security companies, private security companies have many problem. Moreover, they mostly did not have any remarkable in-house expertises in their own business under tough conditions. Under the unfavorable circumstances including insufficient investment and education in private security guard, there have been actually little further studies on private security business in practices. So this study mainly focused on addressing the installation security business managed by authorized companies, which amount to 96%(1,963 companies) of total 2,051 domestic security companies. Furthermore, the study formulated and modeled a series of business procedures in private security companies.   • The purpose of this study was to explore the direction in applying platform business model to the site to facilitate the growth of a private security guard service according to the development phase of economy, The directions of platform business application to be suggested through the study method are as follows. First, ensuring publicness. It should be able to integrate the government's and private sector's ability to collect and impart information. Second, securing self-regulation. Self-regulation should be guaranteed in the limit not to abuse or misuse others' information in re-producing and using information on private safe management and public order. Third, ensuring access. Past safety management has been controlled by public order power such as nation, military and police power, but access should be made to be convenient between suppliers and demanders. Fourth, securing profitability. In conclusion, those supplying and consuming private security guard service should be able to get their wanted value and share economic profits.
