물리적 설계인자가 인공습지의 처리효율에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Physical Design Parameters on the Constructed Wetland Performance)

  • The field scale experiment was performed to examine the effect of physical design parameters on the constructed wetland performance and recommend the feasible design of constructed wetland in Korean polder areas. Four sets (each set of 0.85 ha) of wetland (0.8 ha) and pond (0.08 ha) systems were used. Two different wetland systems, a wetland-pond system and a pond-wetland system, were studied to examine the effect of wetland and pond configuration. And two different length-to-width ratios were used, 2: 1 and 0.8: 1, to examine the effect of aspect ratio. A pond-wetland system was more preferable than a wetland-pond system, and also requires a smaller area than a wetland-pond system or a wetland system to reduce T-P. There was no difference in effluent concentration between the 2:1 system and the 0.8:1 system. Although the linear velocity of the 2:1 aspect was higher than the 0.8:1 aspect, resuspension was not a factor in this study due to a very low linear velocity. From this study and other literature review, it was found that design method of paddy rice field could be applied and expanded to the design of constructed wetland in Korea. Further investigation for the detailed design parameters of constructed wetland needs be continued for design method of paddy rice to be applied in full scale.

저류지 방류암거의 간편설계기법 (A Simplified Design Method of Culvert Outlet for Detention Pond)

  • 근래 이상기후에 의한 강우량 증대와 도시화에 따른 첨두유출량의 증대 및 도달시간의 단축은 하류 지점의 빈번한 범람을야기시키고 있으며 저류지와 같은 우수유출저감시설을통해 이상의 문제를해결하고자한다. 그러나현재 국내의 저류지에 관한 대부분의 연구는 저류지 용량에 중점을 두고 있으며, 저류지의 유출량을 방류할 수 있는 방류시설에 관한 연구는 미미한 실정이며 저류지의 방류시설로 주로 활용되고 있는 암거의 설계는 도로배수계획(한국도로공사, 1991)에 따라 설계되고있어서저류지에적용하기에는 무리가있다. 따라서본 연구에서는저류지 방류에적합한 암거설계기법을 개발하기 위하여 암거흐름 분류 중 암거상류부 수위가 잠수된 조건하에서 암거흐름을 모의 분석하고, 그 결과를 바탕으로 저류지 방류암거의 간편설계기법을 제시하였다.

modified RAM의 기능별 가중치 부여를 통한 농촌지역 연못형습지의 보전가치 평가 (The assessment of conservation value for agricultural pond wetland using the weighted function of modified RAM)

  • The pond wetlands in agricultural landscape are important natural resources that carry out the function of bio-diversity conservation. However, recently, those have been gradually embedded as their utility value were disappeared. And, the assessment methods used for pond wetlands are insufficient. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine the conservation value of pond wetlands by using the modified RAM, and present the improvement of assesment methods. The study sites, a total of 32 pond of 4 types by land use, were selected on the basis of Ramsar Convention. Through the analysis of precedent studies, the weighted 8 functions were adjusted. According to the assessment results, pond wetlands made the largest contribution to Fishery and Herpetile Habitat function. In addition, it also made large contribution to Floral Diversity, Wildlife Habitat, and Water Quality Protection function. On the other hand, it made a small contribution to Aesthetics and Recreation, Runoff Attenuation, Shoreline /Stream Bank Protection, and Flood/Storm Water Storage function due to the characteristics of small-scale pond wetlands. In the assessment of 8 functions, house type showed the worst assessment result, and mountain type showed the best assessment result. It is thought that those are due to land use type in terms of vicinity. 10 items among 52 of the modified RAM showed the same assessment results in all land use types. Accordingly, it is required to be deleted and modified the assessment method. On the other hand, it is required to add age, interference, and water use to the assessment method. It is thought that these results can be utilized for the development and modification of assessment methods focused on pond wetlands in rural area.

매립석탄재 활용 CLSM의 관 뒤채움재 적용성 평가 (Assessment of Controlled Low Strength Material using Pond Ash for Pipe Backfill Materials)

  • 본 연구에서는 매립석탄재를 활용한 유동성 채움재 실용화 기술개발의 일환으로서 매립석탄재의 입도 분포 및 미립분 함량등의 물성에 따른 유동성 채움재의 유동성 및 재료분리 저항성, 강도발현성 등의 특성을 검토하고자 하였으며, 채취된 매립석탄재의 물성 분석 결과 밀도 및 입도 분포의 특성은 상이한 것으로 나타났다. 3종의 매립석탄재를 대상으로 유동성 채움재 배합 및 특성을 평가한 결과 ACI 229R에서 규정하는 품질을 충족시키기 위한 배합조건은 상이한 것으로 나타났다. 배합요인별에 따라 유동성 채움재의 특성을 평가한 결과 매립석탄재의 입도분포 특성 및 미립분 함량에 주로 영향을 받는 것으로 확인되었으며, 조립질의 매립석탄재(PA-3)의 경우 ACI 229R에서 규정하는 요구성능을 충족시키는 배합 조건은 도출되지 않았으나, 입도 전처리를 통한 미분 함량 증가 및 세립질의 입도분포 구성을 통한 유동성 채움재의 배합성 평가에 대해 검토할 필요가 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Regression Studies of Dry Weight of Planktonic Biomass on Physico-chemical Parameters of Ponds with Special Reference to Fertilization

  • The regression equations of dry weight of planktonic biomass upon physico-chemical characteristics of fifteen ponds in three replicates under the influence of artificial feed, broiler manure, buffalo manure, N:P:K (25:25:0) and a control pond was obtained after one year of experimental period by using stepwise regression method. Water samples from each of the ponds were analyzed daily. However, the average values were calculated on the basis of 15 day intervals designated as fortnight. In artificial feed supplemented pond the regression of average nitrates on dry weight of planktonic biomass accounted for 71.7% of the variation in biomass. In broiler manure fertilization pond the regression of total nitrogen on dry weight of planktonic biomass held it responsible for more than 74.6% of variation in biomass. In buffalo's manure fertilized pond more than 82% of the variations in biomass were due to total nitrogen. In case of N:P:K (25:25:0) treated pond 66% of the variation in the dry weight of planktonic biomass was due to average nitrates. The control pond showed the dependence of biomass on light penetration. This equation explained more than 62 percent of variation in biomass. Other variables also showed some contribution towards variation in biomass under all the treatments in these regression studies.

프랑스 A-71 고속도로변 토양과 부유퇴적물의 중금속의 지화학적 거동과 오염 연구 (Environmental Pollution and Geochemical Behavior of Heavy Metals in Roadside soil and Settling Particles from Retention Pond, A-71 Motorway, France)

  • 고속도로변에 설치된 retention pond는 drainage system의 일부분으로 우기에 빗물의 양을 조절하고 고속도로 노면에서 운반되어 retention pond에 유입된 오염된 입자를 침전, 제거시키기 위해 설치되었다. 빗물에 입자상태로 이동된 납, 아연, 카드뮴를 제거하기 위해 설치된 retention pond의 효과를 평가하기 위해 수리지질학적 연구 및 부유퇴적물의 물리화학적 특징을 규명하기 위한 연구가 수행되었다. 부유퇴적물과 비교하기 위해 심하게 오염된 roadside soil과 오염되지 않은 background soil에 대해서도 연구가 수행되었다. 부유퇴적물의 중금속함량은 background Sologne soil에 비해 원소에 따라 2-8배 높다. 그러나, roadside soil의 중금속함량은 부유퇴적물에 비해 7-26배 높다. Sequential extraction methods를 이용하여 분석한 결과 심하게 오염된 roadside soil에 존재하는 납, 아연, 카드뮴은 대부분 쉽게 용해될 수 있는 상태 (Fraction FII, FIII)로 존재하며 반면에 규산염광물과 수반되는 금속함량의 비율은 매우 낮다. 부유퇴적물에서는 규산염광물과 수반되는 금속함량이 전체 금속함량의 1/3까지 크게 증가한다. Roadside soil 과 부유퇴적물사이의 중금속함량 차이가 매우 큰 것은 중금속의 대부분이 retention pond에 이르기 전에 고속도로변과 배수로 일부에 축적되어 모두 상실하기 때문이다.

Comparison of Rheological Properties of Powder Chlorella sp. Cultivated in Fermentor and Pond

  • The current study was conducted to identify the differences in the rheological properties of Chlorella sp. powder cultured in a fermentor and in a pond-like environment. Cells. cultured in the same media were harvested and spray dried. The biomass yield from the fermentor culture was 4.7% (dry basis), while that from the pond was 4.3% (dry basis). Measurements of the loose bulk density, tapping test, Hausner's ratio, and compressibility test all revealed differences between the rheological properties of the Chlorella sp. from the two cultivation systems. Although both the fermentor and pond cultured Chlorella sp. showed the same angle of repose, the mean size of the cells was 2.26 $\mu\textrm{m}$ and 2.89 $\mu\textrm{m}$, respectively. The weight of the Chlorella sp. tablets cultured in the fermentor and pond was 0.663 g/tablet and 0.593 g/tablet, respectively, while the friability of the tablets was 21% and 41%, respectively. Observation by Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) showed that the cell wall of the Chlorella sp. cultured in the fermentor was thinner and more spherical than that cultured in the pond, thereby providing the main characteristic rheological properties of the powder.

우수유출저감용 저류지의 간편설계기법 개발 (A Development of Simplified Design Method of the Detention Pond for the Reduction of Runoff)

  • 저류지를 설계함에 있어서 주어진 저류지 제원과 방류시설 제원하에서 저류지 설계모의모형을 이용하여 저류추적 을 실시하는 방법을 대치하고자 저류지의 예비설계 단계에서 저류지 최적계획모형에 의해 산정된 저류용량을 초기 가정치로 사용하거나 개발전후의 첨두유량비인 ${\alpha}$를 사용하여 저류지를 간편설계하기 위한 관련변수 해석을 실시하 였다. 관련변수 해석을 통해 저류지의 유입첨두유량에 대한 저류지 첨두방류량의 비인 첨두유량비 ${\alpha}$와 저류지의 저류비 $S_r$, 저류지의 방류구조 크기 D와 저류지의 최대허용수심 $H_{max}$, 저류지의 구형바닥면적 A'과 저류지의 제형바닥면적 A 및 $A_c$의 관계를 이용하여 저류지를 간편하게 설계하는 간편설계기법의 절차를 제시하였다. 저류지의 간편 설계기법은 도시화로 인한 유출총량 및 첨두유량 증대에 대처하는 방안으로 도시유역에서 유출저감시설로서 신설되는 저류지를 설계함에 있어서 기존의 많은 제반사항과 저류지 추적을 시행하지 않고 간편한 설계를 할 수 있는 방법으로 활용가능하다.

전주시 덕진공원의 장소성 (The Placeness of Deokjin Park in Jeonju City)

  • Deokjin Park in Jeonju City was the site of a pond during the Koryo Period. Although Jeonju City has developed rapidly in modem times, Deokjin Pond was preserved and was developed into a park It can be theorized that Deokjin Pond's latent character has made it possible for it to adapt to the changes it has undergone throgh the years. In this study, the placeness of Deokjin Park is determined by examining its role in the adaptation process. Placeness can be determined by examining the objective character of a certain environment and the subjective experience related to it. For this paper, documents about the history of Deokjin Park were examined so that the facts related to it could be established. In addition, a number of Jeonju citizens were asked about their memories of Deokjin Park since memories reveal people's subjective experiences. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. Deokjin Pond is an ideal space for Feng Shui. It is a holy place because the tomb of the founder of the Chosun Dynasty is close to it. In addition, it has scenic value as it is part of the Jeonju Palkyoung (eight sceneries). To this day, we can see people washing their hair in the pond, proof that Deokjin Pond is still the subject of folk beliefs. When Korea was under Japanese rule, Deokjin Pond became Deokjin Park because of its ideal location, scenic value, and grand possibilities as an amusement center. Over the years, though its scenic value decreased after the death of its pine trees. Jeonju City, however, was able to revive the park's charm though a series of renovation projects and through the addition of several facilities. Deokjin Park is now surrounded by many cultural buildings. The significance of Deokjin Park can be expected to evolve with these changes. This study helps to predict the future of Deokjin Park and to elucidate the importance of landscape architecture from the point of view of an "evolving place."

  • 조정지로 유입되는 음부력흐름에 대한 거동이 수치적 방법으로 해석되었다. 조정지의 밀도류를 지배하는 매개변수는 유입밀도 Froude수, $Fr_e$이고, 조정지에서 오른쪽 낮은 구석과 가라앉은 유체의 흐름위에 와는 형성된다. 유입유체의 특성이 주어진다면 유출구에서의 온도, 조정지의 규모 및 유입유체의 체류시간을 알 수 있다.
