  • The construction of Pusan National University Yangsan Hospital is a new construction of a medical town in Yangsan. It is a case that CMr participated in the project from planning to post-completion. It shows an actual proof of Construction Management business applied CM by each phase. In this case, CMr selected the design-build contractor in the planning phase and technically performed CM businesses in every single phase such as design and construction schedule management regarding application of Fast Track technique, procurement management and contract administration in phases based on the Fast-tract; technique, design review, VE in the design phase, change order management in the construction phase and operating and maintenance in the post-construction phase. This study would go far toward applying CM to Mega Turnkey projects by analyzing the problems of CMr's practical application to the project and providing guidelines for effective and efficient CM business implementation especially in the Turnkey projects.

Optimal Resource Planning with Interference Coordination for Relay-Based Cellular Networks

  • Multihop relay-based cellular networks are attracting much interest because of their throughput enhancement, coverage extension, and low infrastructure cost. In these networks, relay stations (RSs) between a base station (BS) and mobile stations (MSs) drastically increase the overall spectral efficiency, with improved channel quality for MSs located at the cell edge or in shadow areas, and enhanced throughput of MSs in hot spots. These relay-based networks require an advanced radio resource management scheme because the optimal amount of radio resource for a BS-to-RS link should be allocated according to the MS channel quality and distribution, considering the interference among RSs and neighbor BSs. In this paper, we propose optimal resource planning algorithms that maximize the overall utility of relay-based networks under a proportional fair scheduling policy. In the first phase, we determine an optimal scheduling policy for distributing BS-to-RS link resources to RSs. In the second phase, we determine the optimal amount of the BS-to-RS link resources using the results of the first phase. The proposed algorithms efficiently calculate the optimal amount of resource without exhaustive searches, and their accuracy is verified by comparison with simulation results, in which the algorithms show a perfect match with simulations.

  • Recently policy and clouding system to mandate the introduction of BIM in construction industry, various sensors technology, BIM in ICT technology and fusion, such as 3D scanning and printing technology has been further activated. However, the expression level of diversification associated with it, plan within one of the BIM project, design, engineering, it is difficult to have a different application has been consistent for each field, such as construction. Thus fell the efficiency of BIM apply, it is difficult to determine the appropriate level of BIM in the business early stage in order destination of position. In this study, in order to solve this problem, by utilizing SLA used in the IT field, it attempts to explore scheme which can be evaluated targeted level of BIM suitable for business in the planning phase.

  • Collision-free trajectory planning for two robots is considered. The two robot system handled in the paper is given specified geometric paths for two robots, and the task is repeating. Then, the robot dynamics is transformed as a function of the traveled lengths along the paths, and the bounds on acceleration and velocity are described in the phase plane be taking the constraints on torques and joint velocities into consideration. Collision avoidance and time optimality are considered simultaneously in the coordination space and the phase plane, respectively. The proof for the optimality of the proposed algorithm is given, and a simulation result is included to show the usefulness of the proposed method.

  • This study is intended to provide a basis for the planning of local governments to, analyzed in Gwangju Metropolitan City area D sixth regional health plans and Tertiary regional social welfare plans, establishing phase, the evaluation phase side. Based on the study results suggest the following implications. First, Specifically, it should be established to systematically planning process. Second, Plan's vision, key challenges, businesses are logical and details should be provided consistently. Third, It should be evaluated focusing on residents of the area change. Fourth, Change of plan indicators, performance indicators, etc. must be presented in detail.

  • The motion of animals and gymnasts in the air as well as free flying space robots without thrusters are subjected to nonholonomic constraints generated by the law of conservation of angular momentum. The purpose of this paper is to derive analytical posture control laws for free flying objects in the air. We propose the bang-bang control method for trajectory planning of a 3 link mechanical system with initial angular momentum. This technique is used to reduce the DOF (degrees of freedom) at first switching phase and to determine the control inputs to steer the reduced order system to the desired position. Computer simulations for motion planning of an athlete approximated by 3 link, namely platform diving, are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

Automated Safety Planning of Scaffolding-Related Hazards in Building Information Modeling (BIM)

  • Scaffolds are frequently used in construction projects. Despite the impact on the entire safety, scaffolds are rarely analyzed as part of the safety planning. While recent advances in BIM (Building Information Modeling) provides opportunity to address potential safety issues in the early planning stages, it is still labor-intensive and challenging to incorporate scaffolds into current manual jobsite safety analysis which is time-consuming and error-prone. Consequently, potential safety hazards related to scaffolds are identified and presented during the construction phase. The objective of this research is to integrate scaffolds into automated safety analysis using BIM. A safety checking system was created to simulate the movements of scaffolds along the paths of crews using the scaffolds. Algorithms in the system automatically identify safety hazards related to activities working on scaffolds. Then, the system was implemented in a commercially available BIM software program for case studies. The results show that the algorithms successfully identified safety hazards that were not noticed by project managers of the projects. The results were visualized in BIM to facilitate early safety communications.

  • The purpose of this study is to establish the function of a sub-system for System Alternatives Feasibility Estimation (SAFE) in R & D Project Planning Phase (RDPPL). It is the fundamental function of the RDPPL/SAFE that selected an optimal planning system alternative of all, considered at RDPPL/SAS, by logical means in view of feasibility. In this paper, improving the function of RDPPL/SAFE, mathmatical models in order to quantify methods determining and integrating the feasibility funtion in each terminal system with a multi-stage process are examined.

  • Since the primary purpose of information Engineering focuses on transaction or operation processing, various information needs acquired in Information Strategy Planning phase are not properly utilized from the viewpoint of decision support systems development.   • The construction market is diversely changing because social environmental factors are rapidly transforming. Therefore, Construction projects are becoming complex and diverse. Furthermore, the risk being inherent in construction projects are increasing, and now people are considering about the risk management of construction projects in successfully handling the risk factor. The purpose of this study is first to comprehend the preparation of basic references for objective and systematic identification, categorization, and analysis of risk.
