Belt-driven Starter Generator (BSG) differs from other mild hybrid systems as the crankshaft of vehicle are not run off. Motor permits a low-cost method of adding mild hybrid capabilities such as start-stop, power assist, and mild levels of regenerative braking. Wound rotor synchronous motor (WRSM) could be adopted in BSG system for HEV e-Assisted application instead of the interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM). In practice, adequate torque is indispensable for starter assist system, and energy conversion should be taken into account for the HEV or EV as well. Particularly, flux weakening control is possible to realize by adjusting both direct axis components of current and field current in WRSM. Accordingly, this paper present an off-line current acquisition algorithm that can reasonably combine the stator and field current to acquire the maximum torque, meanwhile the energy conversion is taken into consideration by losses. Besides, on account of inductance influence by non-uniform air gap around rotor, nonlinear inductances and armature flux linkage against current variation are proposed to guarantee the results closer to reality. A computer-aided method for proposed algorithm are present and results are given in form of the Look-up table (LUT). The experiment shows the validity of algorithm.

LDPC decoder architectures are generally classified into serial, parallel and partially parallel architectures. Conventional method of LDPC decoding in general give rise to a large number of computation operations, mass power consumption, and decoding delay. It is necessary to reduce the iteration numbers and computation operations without performance degradation. This paper studies horizontal shuffle scheduling(HSS) algorithm and self-correction normalized min-sum(SC-NMS) algorithm. In the result, number of iteration is half than conventional algorithm and performance is almost same between sum-product(SP) and SC-NMS. Finally, This paper implements high-speed LDPC decoder based on FPGA. Decoding throughput is 816 Mbps.

This paper presents an Implementation of digital high-performance position sensorless control system of Reluctance Synchronous Motor(RSM) drives with Direct Torque Control(DTC). The system consists of stator flux observer, speed and torque estimator, two digital hysteresis controllers, an optimal switching look-up table, Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor(IGBT) voltage source inverter, and TMS320C31 DSP board. The stator flux observer Is based on the combined voltage and current model with stator flux feedback adaptive control of which inputs are current and voltage sensed on motor terminal for wide speed range. In order to prove the suggested sensorless control algorithm for industrial field application, we have some simulation and actual experiment at low and high speed range. The developed high-performance speed control by fully digital system are shown a good response characteristic of control results and high performance features using 1.0[kW] RSM having 2.57 reluctance ratio of $L_d/L_q$.

This paper introduces design and implementation of digital photo kiosk system, digital photo printing system, with auto color correction module that considers gamut between touch screen and output device, digital photo printer, to provide user-preferred media. This module performs media correction function to service high quality contents for image captured by digital camera and mobile phone camera. Since it is implemented as LUT for real-time processing, the system offers one-touch interface to user. As a result of implementation, this kiosk system provides user-favorite photo because of black and white mode, sepia mode, and brightness and contrast adjustment. Also it can gives smooth tone transition and photos of similar color to captured image due to auto color correction module.

The paper discussed the air-to-fuel ratio control of automotive fuel-injection systems using the cerebellar model articulation controller(CMAC) neural network. Because of the internal combustion engines and fuel-injection's dynamics is extremely nonlinear, it leads to the discontinuous of the fuel-injection and the traditional method of control based on table look up has the question of control accuracy low. The advantages about CMAC neural network are distributed storage information, parallel processing information, self-organizing and self-educated function. The unique structure of CMAC neural network and the processing method lets it have extensive application. In addition, by analyzing the output characteristics of oxygen sensor, calculating the rate of fuel-injection to maintain the air-to-fuel ratio. The CMAC may easily compensate for time delay. Experimental results proved that the way is more good than traditional for petrol control and the CMAC fuel-injection controller can keep ideal mixing ratio (A/F) for engine at any working conditions. The performance of power and economy is evidently improved.

The practical constraints on the commercial FPGAs which contain dedicated wide function multiplexers in their slice structure are incorporated with one of the most advanced FPGA mapping algorithms based on the AIG (And-Inverter Graph), one of the best logic representations in academia. As the first step of the mapping process, cuts are enumerated as intermediate structures. And then, the cuts which can be mapped to the multiplexers are recognized. Without any increased complexity, the delay and area of multiplexers as well as LUTs are calculated after checking the requirements for the tree construction such as symmetry and depth limit against dynamically changing mapping of neighboring nodes. Besides, the root positions of multiplexer trees are identified from the RTL code, and annotated to the AIG as AOs (Auxiliary Outputs). A new AIG embedding the multiplexer tree structures which are intentionally synthesized by Shannon expansion at the AOs, is overlapped with the optimized AIG. The lossless synthesis technique which employs FRAIG (Functionally Reduced AIG) is applied to this approach. The proposed approach and techniques are validated by implementing and applying them to two RISC processor examples, which yielded 13~30% area reduction, and up to 32% delay reduction. The research will be extended to take into account the constraints on the dedicated hardware for carry chains.

The objective of this paper is to look into the growth of Cryptomeria japonica stand in South Korea along with the evaluation on their yields, followed by their carbon stocks and removals. A total of 106 sample plots were selected from Jeonnam, Gyeongnam, and Jeju, where the groups of standard are grown. We only used 92 plots data except outlier. As part of the analysis, the Weibull diameter distribution was applied. In order to estimate the diameter distribution, the growth estimation equation for each of the growth factors including the height, the diameter at breast height, and the basal area was drafted out and the verification for each equation was examined. The site index for figuring out the forest productivity of Cryptomeria japonica stand for each district was also developed as a Schumacher model and 30yr was used as a reference age for the estimation of the site index. It was found that the site index for Cryptomeria japonica stand in South Korea ranges from 10 to 16 and this result was used as a standard for developing the stand yield table. According to the site 14 in the stand yield table, the mean annual increment (MAI) of the Cryptomeria japonica reaches $7.6m^3/ha$ on its 25yr and its growing stock is estimated to be at $190.1m^3/ha$. This volume is about $20m^3$ as high as that of the Chamaesyparis obtusa. Furthermore, the annual carbon absorptions for a Cryptomeria japonica stand reached the peak at 25yr, which is 2.14 tC/ha/yr, $7.83tCO_2/ha/yr$. When compared to the other conifers, this rate is slightly higher than that of a Chamaecyparis obtusa ($7.5tCO_2/ha/yr$) but lower than that of the Pinus koraiensis ($10.4tCO_2/ha/yr$) and Larix kaempferi ($11.2tCO_2/ha/yr$). With such research result as a base, it is necessary to come up with the ways to enhance the utilization of Cryptomeria japonica as timbers, besides making use of their growth data.
In order to acquire an image in a positron emission tomography, it is necessary to draw the position coordinates of the scintillation pixels of the detector module measured at the same time. To this end, in a detector module using a plurality of scintillation pixels and a small number of photosensors, it is necessary to obtain a flood image and divide a region of each scintillation pixel to obtain a position of a scintillation pixel interacting with a gamma ray. Alternatively, when the number of scintillation pixels and the number of photosensors to be used are the same, the position coordinates for the position of the scintillation pixels can be directly acquired as digital signal coordinates. A method of using a plurality of scintillation pixels and a small number of photosensors requires a process of obtaining digital signal coordinates requires a plurality of photosensors and a signal processing system. This complicates the signal processing process and raises the cost. To solve this problem, in this study, we developed a method of obtaining digital signal coordinates without performing the process of separating the planar image and region using a plurality of flash pixels and a small number of optical sensors. This is a method of obtaining the position coordinate values of the flash pixels interacting with the gamma ray as a digital signal through a look-up table created through the signals acquired from each flash pixel using the maximum likelihood function. Simulation was performed using DETECT2000, and verification was performed on the proposed method. As a result, accurate digital signal coordinates could be obtained from all the flash pixels, and if this is applied to the existing system, it is considered that faster image acquisition is possible by simplifying the signal processing process.

A DDFS(Direct Digital Frequency Synthesizer) used in spread spectrum communication systems must need fast switching speed, high resolution(the step size of the synthesizer), small size and low power. The chip has been designed with four parallel sine look-up table to achieve four times throughput of a single DDFS. To achieve a high processing speed DDFS chip, a 24-bit pipelined CMOS technique has been applied to the phase accumulator design. To reduce the size of the ROM, each sine ROM of the DDFS is stored 0-.pi./2 sine wave data by taking advantage of the fact that only one quadrant of the sine needs to be stored, since the sine the sine has symmetric property. And the 8 bit of phase accumulator's output are used as ROM addresses, and the 2 MSBs control the quadrants to synthesis the sine wave. To compensate the spectrum purity ty phase truncation, the DDFS use a noise shaper that structure like a phase accumlator. The system input clock is divided clock, 1/2*clock, and 1/4*clock. and the system use a low frequency(1/4*clock) except MUX block, so reduce the power consumption. A 107MHz DDFS(Direct Digital Frequency Synthesizer) implemented using 0.8.mu.m CMOS gate array technologies is presented. The synthesizer covers a bandwidth from DC to 26.5MHz in steps of 1.48Hz with a switching speed of 0.5.mu.s and a turing latency of 55 clock cycles. The DDFS synthesizes 10 bit sine waveforms with a spectral purity of -65dBc. Power consumption is 276.5mW at 40MHz and 5V.
Digital imaging detectors can use a variety of detection materials to convert X-ray radiation either to light or directly to electron charge. Many detectors such as amorphous silicon flat panels, CCDs, and CMOS photodiode arrays incorporate a scintillator screen to convert x-ray to light. The digital radiography systems based on semiconductor detectors, commonly referred to as flat panel detectors, are gaining popularity in the clinical & hospital. The X-ray detectors are described between a-Silicon based indirect type and a-Selenium based direct type. The DRS of detectors is used to convert the x-ray to electron hole pairs. Image processing is described by specific image features: Latitude compression, Contrast enhancement, Edge enhancement, Look up table, Noise suppression. The image features are tuned independently. The final enhancement result is a combination of all image features. The parameters are altered by using specific image features in the different several hospitals. The image in a radiological report consists of two image evaluation processes: Clinical image parameters and MTF is a descriptor of the spatial resolution of a digital imaging system. We used the edge test phantom and exposure procedure described in the IEC 61267 to obtain an edge spread function from which the MTF is calculated. We can compare image in the processing parameters to change between original and processed image data. The angle of the edge with respect to the axes of detector was varied in order to determine the MTF as a function of direction. Each MTF is integrated within the spatial resolution interval of 1.35-11.70 cycles/mm at the 50% MTF point. Each image enhancement parameters consists of edge, frequency, contrast, LUT, noise, sensitometry curve, threshold level, windows. The digital device is also shown to have good uniformity of MTF and image parameters across its modality. The measurements reported here represent a comprehensive evaluation of digital radiography system designed for use in the DRS. The results indicate that the parameter enables very good image quality in the digital radiography. Of course, the quality of image from a parameter is determined by other digital devices in addition to the proper clinical image.
