A Study on influence of R&D Organizational Culture to Organizational Performance: mediating effects of Trust (R&D 조직문화가 조직성과에 미치는 영향 관한 연구 -신뢰의 매개효과 중심으로-)

  • This study aims to mediating effects of trust on the relationships between R&D organizational culture and organizational- performance. Additionally, This study is to examine the impact of R&D organizational culture to organizational performance. The findings are as follows : First, R&D organizational culture had a significant positive effects on the organizational performance. Second, the mediating effects of trust had a significant effects on all relationships. The means that attaining trust contribute to member's attitude and organization performance, therefore supervisor should make efforts to maintain and enhance trust in organization.

The Mediating Effects of Self-efficacy on the relationship between Job-stress and Depression (지역 의료기관 행정직 직장인의 자기효능감 -직무스트레스와 우울에 미치는 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of the study was to identify the mediating effects of self-efficacy between job-stress and depression in regional hospitals' workers. The data of this study were collected from 700 hospitals' workers who have been working in 306 hospitals in B city. And the data were collected from Feb. to May 2012. To determine the impact of self-efficacy on job-stress and depression for men and women workers in local hospitals, we measure self-efficacy, job-stress and depression of workers and analyze their relationships. There was a negative relationship between self-efficacy and job-stress(r=-.238, p<.001), depression(r=-.626 p<.001). Verifying the mediating effects of self-efficacy to the impact of job stress on depression, the mediating effects of self-efficacy were significant. It suggests that there is a need to relax the negative impact of job stress through the promotion of self-efficacy for individual or team-level organization.

Mediating Effects of Anger Level on the Relationship between Smartphone Addiction and School Adjustment of Middle School Students

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the mediating effects of anger level on the effects of middle school students' school adjustment on smartphone addiction. In order to accomplish the purpose of this study, the following research problems were set up. First, what is the relationship between Chinese smartphone addiction, anger level, and school adjustment of Chinese middle school students? Second, what is the effect of smartphone addiction on middle school students' anger level and school adjustment? Third, what is the mediating effect of the level of anger in the process of affecting the school adjustment to smartphone addiction by Chinese middle school students? The subjects of this study were five city schools and seven municipal schools in J-do, among which 450 students were enrolled from April 23 to May 18, 2018. A total of 439 copies were used for the analysis, except for 11 unexplained questionnaires or unfairly responded to the collected questionnaires. The conclusions based on the results of this study are as follows. First, there are negative correlations between the sub-factors of smartphone addiction and the sub-factors of school adjustment. Among them, tolerance is only positively correlated with the peer relationship. The sub-factors of smartphone addiction have negatively correlated with anger expression, anger control, and anger suppression. Second, the effect of sub-factors of smartphone addiction on the level of anger was 3.6%, and the effect on school adjustment was 4.2%. Third, The anger level of the middle school students affected the school adjustment by the smartphone addiction has a partial mediating effect of 0.8%.

  • This study sought to determine whether there were mediating effects on both mental health and sleep problems as induced by COVID-19 fears and its effects on preventive practices. The participants were 310 adults living in the Seoul/Gyeonggi Province. For data collection, an online survey was conducted using a semi-structured questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using PROCESS Macro (Model 6) to validate the dual mediating effects. This study analyzed the direct effects of COVID-19 fears on the mental health problems, sleep problems and preventive practices. Both mental health and sleep problems had dual mediating effects in the influence of COVID-19 fears on preventive practices. Preventive practice has shown that the mediated effects of mental health problems play a strong role in instances when COVID-19 fears increase.

The Influence of Perceived Organizational Justice on Innovation Resistance among Instructors in Sport Centers: The Mediating Effects of Organizational Trust (스포츠센터 지도자들의 조직공정성 인식이 혁신저항에 미치는 영향: 조직신뢰의 매개효과 분석)

  • This study investigated the effects of perceived organizational justice on innovation resistance among instructors in sport centers and examined the mediating effects of organizational trust on these relationships. Total 274 sport instructors participated in this study. The data were analyzed by structural equation modeling, and the results of this study were as follows: First, distributive justice had a negative effect on psychological resistance, while distributive justice had no significant effect on behavioral resistance. Second, procedural justice had a negative effect on psychological resistance and behavioral resistance. Third, both distributive justice and procedural justice had a positive effect on organizational trust. Fourth, organizational trust had a negative effect on psychological resistance and behavioral resistance. Fifth, organizational trust had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between distributive justice and psychological resistance and a full mediating effect on the relationship between distributive justice and behavioral resistance. Also, organizational trust had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between procedural justice and innovation resistance.

Mediating Effects of Nursing Professionalism between Image of Nurses and Satisfaction with Nursing as a Major among Nursing Students (간호대학생의 간호사 이미지와 전공만족도의 관계에서 간호전문직관의 매개효과)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to identify mediating effects of nursing professionalism on the relationship between image of nurses and satisfaction with nursing as a major among nursing students. Methods : A self report questionnaire survey was completed by 429 nursing students in 1 university in K city. Data were collected between April 25 and May 06, 2016 and analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 program. Results : The nursing students recognized that image of nurses had a positive (+) effect on nursing professionalism and satisfaction with nursing as a major, and nursing professionalism had a positive (+) effect on satisfaction with nursing as a major. Further, nursing professionalism had significant partial mediating effect on the relationship between image of nurses and satisfaction with nursing as a major. Conclusions : These results indicate that nursing professionalism has a positive mediating role on the relationship between image of nurses and satisfaction with nursing as a major among nursing students. Therefore, in order to promote satisfaction with nursing as a major in nursing students, it is necessary to develop and implement educational programs that can form a desirable image of nurses and nursing professionalism.

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the Mediating Effects of Job Engagement between Perception in Compensation and Innovation Behavior in Chinese Enterprise Workers. The empirical study was conducted by a questionnaire survey on 700 workers in companies located in the southern area of China. The statistical analysis results revealed the following. First, the perception in compensation of Chinese workers has significant positive effects on the innovation behaviors. And intrinsic compensation has more relative significant effects than extrinsic compensation. Second, the perception in compensation has significant positive effects on the job engagement. In this case, extrinsic compensation has more relative significant effects than intrinsic compensation does. Third, job engagement of workers has significant positive effects on the innovation behaviors. Fourth, job engagement has mediating effects between perception in compensation and innovation behaviors. In conclusion, for the sustainable growth and competitive advantage of Chinese enterprises, it is important to perceive the needs of extrinsic and intrinsic perception in compensation of workers, and to design suitable compensation policies and programs to promote innovation behaviors and job engagement considering the distribution and procedural justice, and also to reflect the needs and job characteristics of workers.

The Effect of the Use of Smart Devices by the Elderly on Life Satisfaction : Focusing on the Mediating Effects of Self-esteem (노인의 스마트기기 활용이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향 : 자아존중감의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study is to verify the mediating effect of self-esteem on the effect of the elderly's smart device use on life satisfaction. To this end, secondary data analysis was conducted using the Korea Media Panel Survey conducted by the Information and Communication Policy Institute in 2021. The responses of 3,211 people in their 60s or older who are the subjects of this study were utilized. For analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation, and multiple regression analysis were performed using SPSS, and the Sobel test was conducted to verify mediating effects. As a result, smart device utilization averaged 2.13 points out of 5, indicating that the actual utilization level was less than half. The use of smart devices, an independent variable, had a positive effect on the dependent variable, life satisfaction. Self-esteem, which is a parameter, has been verified as a partial mediating effect in that smart device use affects life satisfaction. Based on the results of this study, various policy and practical measures were proposed to increase the smart device utilization rate of the elderly in Korea, improve self-esteem and life satisfaction, so that they can spend a happy old age.

  • Recently, the airline industry has grown tremendously, and competition among airlines has intensified. Therefore, the importance of airline's service quality has been greatly emphasized. The human service provided by the airline is the biggest service the customer feels, so the customer orientation of the flight attendant is very important. The aim of this study was to identify the mediating effects of organizational commitment on the relationship among transformational leadership and customer orientation. As a results of the study, transformational leadership had positive significant effects on organizational commitment and job customer orientation. The results of this study imply that the organizational commitment play significant mediating role between transformational leadership and customer orientation.

Effects of Elderly's Anger Management on Interpersonal Relationships-Mediating Effects of Generativity

  • Purpose: This study examined how interpersonal relationship abilities in the elderly affected anger control abilities, as well as the mediating effects of generativity in the relationships between interpersonal relationships, anger control abilities, and self-integration. Research design, data and methodology: The study consisted of randomly selected 300 elderly people currently residing in welfare centers for the elderly, senior citizens colleges, social welfare facilities and other centers in the Seoul or Gyeonggi area. SPSS 23.0 was utilized for this study. Results: Through this research, the effect of interpersonal relationships on anger control ability and self-integration was observed. Not only that, the effects of interpersonal relationship abilities on anger control and self-integration and the mediating role of generativity, was also closely examined. Conclusion: Anger control ability was found to have a direct positive effect on interpersonal relationship abilities. Anger control ability had a direct and positively correlated effect on self-integration. Additionally, ability to control anger was found to have a positive effect on generativity, and generativity was found to have a positive effect on interpersonal relationship ability, but it was not statistically significant. Anger control ability had a positive effect on generativity, and generativity had a positive effect on self-integration.
