An inverse method with regularization has been developed to determine the viscoelastic properties of trabecular bone. A series of stress relaxation experiments were performed under the condition of uniaxial compression stress state. Optimization has been formulated within the framework of nonlinear least-squares and a modified Gauss-Newton method with a zeroth-order regularization technique. The stress relaxation behavior of trabecular bone was analyzed using a standard viscoelastic model. The present study clearly shows that trabecular bone exhibits typical viscoelastic stress relaxation behavior, and the obtained material parameters well represent the viscoelastic behavior of trabecular bone.
An exact quantum mechanical theory is employed to treat predissociation process of the $A^2{\Sigma}^+$ state of OH. The widths and positions of the lower (v= 2 and v= 3) rovibrational levels are calculated. Energy shifts of the resonances from the zeroth order (pure Hund'scase (b)) positions are shown to be small for N $\leq$ 10, indicating that the $A^2{\Sigma}^+$ state can be described as case (b) very well for low N. Due to the differential interactions of the $A^2{\Sigma}^+_{1/2}$ and $A^2{\Sigma}^+_{-1/2}$ states with $X^2II$and $2^2II$ states, small splittings between the $F_1$ and $F_2$ levels are predicted. Calculated lifetimes of the resonances agree with experimental results reasonably well.
The concept of dissipativity and passivity are of interest to us from a theoretical as well as a practical point of view. It is well known that the Riccati equation is derived from the dissipation inequality which expresses the fact that the system is dissipative; the energy stored inside the system doesn't exceed the amount of supply which flows into the system. The pencil model is regarded as a representation based on behavioral approach introduced by J.C. Willems. It has first order in the internal variable and zeroth order in the external variable. In general, any matrix pencil is transformed into a canonical form which is consist of several kind of sub-pencils, One of them has row full rank for $^\forall S\;\in\;\mathds{C}\;\bigcup{\infty}$, we call it under-determined mode of the model. In our opinion, most important properties of dynamical system lay in the mode. According to the properties of canonical form for pencil, it is shown that the storage function which characterizes the dissipativity of the system can be written as a LMI for the under-determined mode, if the system doesn't include impulse mode.

Pork belly meat and mackerel are popular meals in Korea. Although a lot of people enjoy cooking these food, there have been some reports that generated organic particles during cooking could be thereas on of lung cancer of nonsmoking housewives. In addition, some experiments show that carcinogens may be included in meat and fishes which we eat usually. For this reason, particle size and concentration in formation during cooking are necessary to figure out the relationship between particles and the diseases. Thus, we identify number concentrations and size distributions of generated nano aerosol in cooking with respect to time, hood operation, and distance between cooking and measurement locations. The maximum concentrations of nano aerosol(diameter sizes are between 10 to 700nm)are decreased after the cooking from $8{\times}10^6{\sharp}/cm^3$ to zeroth order in pork belly meat cooking, and from $3.5{\times}{\times}10^6{\sharp}/cm^3$ to zeroth order in mackerel cooking respectively. When it comes to hood operation during cooking, the detected concentrations of generated aerosols are decreased as in taking flow rate of the hood increases. In cooking pork belly meat, the reduced amount of concentration is about $3{\times}10^6{\sharp}/cm^3$ compared to no hood operation, when hood in taking flow rate is $610m^3/hr$ In mackerel cooking, reduced concentration is $6{\times}10^5{\sharp}/cm^3$ in the same condition. Also, Naphthalene and Fluorene, which are known as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), are detected in the generated aerosols during cooking.

In this paper, we propose a scheme for designing a tunable pixel layer based on a $Ge_2Sb_2Te_5$ (GST) alloy thin film. We show that the phase change of GST can significantly affect the reflection characteristic when the GST film is embedded into a dielectric encapsulation layer. We investigate the appropriate positions of the GST film within the dielectric layer for high diffraction efficiency, and we prove that they are antinodes of Fabry-Perot resonance inside the dielectric layer. Using the proposed scheme, we can increase the diffraction efficiency by about ten times compared to a bare GST film pixel, and 80 times for the first-to-zeroth-order diffraction power ratio. We show that the proposed scheme can be designed alternatively for a broadband or wavelength-selective type by tuning the dielectric thickness, and we discuss a multi-phase example with a double-stack structure.
The soft x-ray(10nm-100nm) interferometer is a modified Mach-Zehnder type interferometer and it consists of two beam-splitters and four totally reflecting mirrors. The beam-splitters used here are 50% transmission and 50% reflection grating type. The diffraction patterns of beam splitters(1st B.S.) were investigated with a He-Ne laser. The diffraction patterns produced by the soft x-ray interferometer (2nd B.S.) were also investigated in intensities positions. The diffraction patterns of 20 degree grazing incidence on the beam splitters(1st B.S.) show a circular array of spots. Both the reflected and the transmitted beams show the same patterns but symmetric circles on the screen. The maximum intensity appears roughly when n is in the zeroth and odd orders and the suppressed peak(missing order) appears when n is in even orders. Intensities of 3 center fringes(n = 0, $\pm$1) are stronger than others. These results confirm the reduced grating equation and make agree with the intensity distribution function. It was found that the final patterns produced by the soft x-ray interferometer (2nd B.S.) consisted of fine fringes which were caused by two of three diffraction beams that were arrived at the second beam-splitter.
We propose a simple nondestructive method to obtain refractive-index profiles of a graded-index (GRIN) light-focusing rod by means of a diffraction grating. In our proposed method, a laser beam is illuminated through a diffraction grating perpendicular to the axis of the GRIN lens and the separation between the zeroth and first-order diffraction peaks is measured and analyzed. The results demonstrate that the refractive-index profiles of commercially available GRIN lenses can be successfully reconstructed.

The E-polarized scattering problems by a perfect conductor strip grating are analyzed by the method of moments. For an E-polarization the induced surface current density is expected to blow up at the strip both edges. Then the induced surface current density on the strip is expanded in a series of multiplication of Ultraspherical ploynomials with zeroth order and functions with appropriate edge boundary condition. The numerical results for current density and reflection cofficient are compared with other functions, it is shown that numerical results better improves the convergence of the moment method soulutions with general incident angles than the existing several other functions. The sharp variation points in the magnitude of geometric-optical reflection coefficient can be moved by varying the incident angle, strip width, and strip spacing.

In this paper, a repeater antenna operating at MICS and ISM bands is proposed and the antenna performance including the human body effect is investigated. The proposed antenna is composed of a ZOR(Zeroth Order Resonator) and a loop antenna. A loop antenna is operated at ISM band and a loop antenna capacitively coupled with a ZOR acts as an antenna for MICS band. Simulation was carried out in order to analyze the effects of human body on antenna performance when a human body is located in the near field of an antenna. According to the simulated and measured results, the proposed antenna has -10 dB $S_{11}$ bandwidth wide enough to cover both MICS and ISM bands. The measured peak gains are -28.53 dBi and 3.85 dBi at MICS and ISM band, respectively. The dual band and radiation properties of the proposed antenna are well suited for the WBAN repeater system.
The complete catalytic oxidation of vinyl chloride was investigated over chromium oxide supported ${\gamma}$-alumina using a fixed bed micro-reactor at temperature between 240 and $300^{\circ}C$ and concentration between 600 and 3500 ppm. The oxidation of vinyl chloride was nonlinear in the concentration of vinyl chloride and zeroth order in the concentration of oxygen. The addition of HCl and $H_2O$ as products to the feed stream didn't influence the conversion of vinyl chloride. Several kinetic rate model were tested to describe the data over the range of condition investigated, and developed a model which provide the best correlation of experimental data. The resulting model of kinetic rate was derived by assuming that the reacting occurred via adsorption and subsequent decomposition of the vinyl chloride onto the oxygen covered chromium oxide surface, with the reaction being inhibited by the adsorption of vinyl chloride. The percent standard deviation between the predicted and experimental was about 5.2%, and the activation energy was 18.9 kcal/mol.
