A NOTE ON THE ZEROS OF THE q-BERNOULLI POLYNOMIALS

  • It is the aim of this paper to observe an interesting phenomenon of 'scattering' of the zeros of the q-Bernoulli polynomials $B_{n,q}(x)$ for -1 < q < 0 in complex plane. Observe that the structure of the zeros of the Genocchi polynomials $G_n(x)$ resembles the structure of the zeros of the q-Bernoulli polynomials $B_{n,q}(x)$ as q $\rightarrow$ -1.

  • This paper is concerned with the limiting zeros, as the sampling period tends to zero, of a multivariable discrete-time system composed of an approximate fractional-order hold (AFROH), a continuous-time plant and a sampler in cascade. An approximate fractional-order hold is proposed to implement fractional-order hold (FROH) and is applied to instead of the zero-order hold (ZOH). The implementing problem of the fractional-order hold is overcome. The properties of the limiting zeros are studied and the location problem of them is solved.   • In this paper, we are concerned with the problem of locating the zeros of regular polynomials of a quaternionic variable with quaternionic coefficients. We derive new bounds of Eneström-Kakeya type for the zeros of these polynomials by virtue of a maximum modulus theorem and the structure of the zero sets in the newly developed theory of regular functions and polynomials of a quaternionic variable. Our results generalize some recently proved results about the distribution of zeros of a quaternionic polynomial.

  • In this paper, we study differential equations arising from the generating functions of the geometric polynomials. We give explicit identities for the geometric polynomials. Finally, we investigate the zeros of the geometric polynomials by using computer.
