지역아동센터 종사자의 직무환경 및 직무스트레스가 정신건강에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Work Environment and Work-related Stress on the Mental Health of Workers at a Community Childcare Center)

  • This study examined the affect of work environment and work-related stress on the mental health of employees. It further sought to provide insights into how employees' work environment and mental health might be improved. Results showed that the relationship between parents of work environment is related to the obsession, depression, working burden is related to the obsession, depression, concern. The lower parts of the relationship with parents and working burden effects every factors. Furthermore, levels of financial compensation and working stability also seemed to have adverse affects on mental health. Secondly, excessive working hours and duty trouble have lots of mutual relationship with the mental health. The lower parts of working stress: excess working hours, duty trouble, and imprecise responsibilities affects the mental health. Especially, the excessive working hours affected all nine parts of mental health level which were examined.

Relationship between visual display terminal working hours and headache/eyestrain in Korean wage workers during the COVID-19 pandemic: the sixth Korean Working Conditions Survey

  • Background: Prolonged use of visual display terminal (VDT) can cause eyestrain, dry eyes, blurred vision, double vision, headache and musculoskeletal symptoms (neck, shoulder, and wrist pain). VDT working hours among workers have greatly increased during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the relationship between VDT working hours and headache/eyestrain in wage workers using data from the sixth Korean Working Conditions Survey (KWCS) (2020-2021) conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: We analyzed the sixth KWCS data of 28,442 wage workers aged 15 years or older. The headache/eyestrain that occurred in the last year was assessed. The VDT work group included workers who use VDT always, almost always, and three-fourth of the working hours, while the non-VDT work group included workers who use VDT half of the working hours, one-fourth of the working hours, almost never, and never. To analyze the relationship between VDT working hours and headache/eyestrain, the odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence interval (CI) were calculated using logistic regression analysis. Results: Among the non-VDT work group, 14.4% workers experienced headache/eyestrain, whereas 27.5% workers of the VDT work group experienced these symptoms. For headache/eyestrain, the VDT work group showed adjusted OR of 1.94 (95% CI: 1.80-2.09), compared with the non-VDT work group, and the group that always used VDT showed adjusted OR of 2.54 (95% CI: 2.26-2.86), compared with the group that never used VDT. Conclusions: This study suggests that during the COVID-19 pandemic, as VDT working hours increased, the risk of headache/eyestrain increased for Korean wage workers.

Causal Relationship Between Working Capital Policies and Working Capital Indicators on Firm Performance: Evidence from Thailand

  • Using structural equation modeling, the study aims to investigate the causal relationship between working capital policies and working capital indicators on firm performance, including profitability and market value (SEM). The samples of 381 firms were selected from various industries listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) from 2016 to 2020. The results showed that 1) there is an effect of working capital policies on profitability and market value; 2) there is an effect of working capital indicators on profitability and market value and 3) there is the effect of profitability on market value. From the results, it is suggested that conservative working capital investment policy (CIP) and conservative working capital financing policy (CFP) affect a company's performance in the Thailand context. In addition, shortening the cash conversion cycle (CCC) should be applied in management to increase profitability by reducing the receivables collection period (RCP) and inventory conversion period (ICP) while increasing the payables deferral period (PDP). The practical implications of the study provide the evidence that meeting the dues according to short CCC management can represent healthy liquidity in cash flow that helps gain investor confidence and the investment interest that further increases the market value.

미용업 근로자의 근무특성과 근골격계질환 자각증상과의 관련성 연구 (A Study on Relationship between Working Characteristics and Subjective Symptoms Associated with Musculoskeletal Disorders of Hairdressers)

  • Recently, there are many research of musculoskeletal disorders in manufacturing industry because of increasing interest of that disorders, but the research is still lacking in the small business and service industry. So we researched relationship between working characteristics and subjective symptoms associated with musculoskeletal disorders by get information of 145 hairdresser about working hour, work record, position and working pattern. The results of this research show that there are many musculoskeletal disorders of hairdressers' neck, shoulder, arm, knee and also close relationship between working characteristics and subjective symptoms associated with musculoskeletal disorders. Besides, some parts of subjective symptoms have an effect on other parts of body. This information contributes to future reference and a precautionary measure about musculoskeletal disorders for hairdressers.

근로환경과 여성근로자의 건강에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Relationship Between Working Women's Health and Working Environment)

  • This paper examines the relationship between working women's health status and working environment. The result of this study is that working women's health is effected on their working environment. The data used in the present study was collected from 7,091 organized women worker by survey conducted in 1987. The independent variables chosen for analysis were job classification, working condition, women workers' characteristics, job satisfaction and health management. The findings of this study can be summarized as follows; First, technical experts had higher health status than other jobs. Manufacturizing workers had lower health status than other jobs. Second, the women who were 20-24 years old, not married and started working at 19 and less year and worked during 3-5 years had lower health status than others. Third, the women who worked bad condition were not healthy. It was bad working condition that working hour was 11-12 per day and did not have holiday and monthly wage was 100,000-200,000 won. Fourth, the women who satisfied the job had higher health status than the women who dissatisfied the job. Fifth, it showed high health status that the women worked the place where health was well managed.

가정주부와 취업주부의 생활사건스트레스와 정신건강에 관한 연구 (A Study the Relationship between Stressful Life Events and Mental Health of Non-Working Housewives and Working Housewives)

  • This study analyzed the relationship between stressful life events and state of mental health among middle class non working housewives and working housewives (104 pair) by age from June 5 to June 19, 1995 in seoul. The results of this study are as follows. 1. The degree of stressful life events was not statistically significant, but the degree working housewives group (Mean 1. 448) was higher than that of non-working housewives group (Mean 1.509). 2. The state of mental health showed statistically significant (p<. 01) the degree of non-working housewives group (Mean 7.36) was higher than that of working housewives (Mean 5.52). 3. The correlation between stressful life events and state of mental health showed natural in both non-Working housewives group (r=.497, p<.001) and working housewives (r=.532. p<.000), so increased stress is related to lower mental health. 4. The degree of stressful life events based on social psychological factor, showed statistically significant (p<.05) in the feeling of life, and the state of mental health was statistically significant in the part of feeling of life (p<.05) and subjective health state (p=.000)

  • This paper described a relationship between motion speed and working accuracy of industrial articulated robot arms. Working accuracy of the robot arm deteriorates at high speed operation caused by a nonlinear transformation of the kinematics and the time delay of the robot arm dynamic. The deterioration of the following trajectory was expressed as a linear function of the squares of the robot arm motion speed, depending upon a posture of the robot arm and division interval of the objective trajectory.

  • This study examined co-worker relationship on of life between employees of contract foodservice in general hospital. Contract foodservice managed general hospitals surveyed from 1 October 2015 to 31 October 2015. A total of 230 questionnaires (cook-30 questionnaires, nutritionist-50 questionnaires, cook's helper-150 questionnaires) were distributed, and 177 questionnaires were used for the study. As a result, the quality of life of employees contract foodservice general hospital was composed of sub-factors (employee engagement, stress at work, home-work interface, working condition, general well-being). co-worker relationship was composed of sub-factors (cooperative co-worker relationship, competitive co-worker relationship). Causal relationship between variables was through regression analysis, and significant results were shown. ooperative co-worker relationship had an effect on employee engagement, stress at work, working condition and general well-being. competitive co-worker relationship.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of attributes of salespersons working at apparel store on relationship with consumers, to gather information what kind of attributes of salespersons get preference to consumer, and to conclude a certain relationship in the result coming from both attributes of salespersons and degree of relationship quality. The questionnaire survey was carried out 571 20's & 30's men and women living around Seoul and Kyong-gi province areas during July in 200l. SAS and AMOS program were used to analyze gathered data. The results of this study were as follows. First, in the case of apparel product, construction and long-term maintenance of relationship with consumers were very essential to gain profit in the future. Second, attributes of salespersons seemed to play an important role on constructing and maintaining long-term relationship with consumers. Third, external attributes like outward appearance do not affect to degree of relationship quality with consumer. rather, internal attributes - expertise, similarity, customer orientation, ethics and likeability, influence on the degree of relationship quality.

간호사의 업무 스트레스에 대한 연구 -정신과 간호사 중심- (A Study on Work Stress Perceived by Clinical Nurses)

  • This study was designed to measure the degree of work stress perceived by clinical nurses working in psyciatric ward, and to identify the factors influencing the difference of work stress. The survey method was used and the subjects of this study consisted of 135 psyciatric nurses from 7 university hospitals and 4 provincial general hospitals. The data were collected from August 1 to 20, 1988. The instrument used for this study was PNOSS(Psychiatric Nurse Occupational Stress Scale) which was developed by Bai(1989). The confidence verification of this instrument was computed and the Cronbach $\alpha$ was 0.94050. Data were analysed by t-test and ANOVA on 5% significant level with SPSS program. The results of study were summerized as follow : 1) The degree of perceived stress among psychiatric nurses was considerably high(4.32 out of 6.00). 2) Among the stressors, inadequate staffing(5.04), hospital administrational problems (4.7) and the conflict of nurse-patient relationship were identified as the stress factors with high rank of degree of stress. 3) There was significant relationship between the degree of stress and the demographic variables of nurses such as the marital status, educational level, and the motivation of working in psychiatric ward. 4) There was significant relationship between the job-related variables such as the working duration, the motivation of working and nurse's attitude toward the psychiatric patients. 5) The relationship between several stress factors and some of the demographic and the job-related variables were significantly identified.
