Survey Analysis for Resting Space Design of Subway Driver (지하철 기관사 휴게 공간 디자인을 위한 요구조사 분석)

  • There is an increasing trend each year in the number of subway users due to increase in the traffic volume. As the number of train service has risen, the subway drivers are given heavy work and from the same, are put at risk of mental health deterioration due to stress. As this is directly connected to safety, there is an urgent need for improvement of the situation. Therefore, as a way to appropriately relieve such stress, resting space where mental and physical energy can be recharged is necessary. Thus, this research conducted a survey of demand with subway drivers as subjects in order to provide resting space that can offer healthy rest and increase work effectiveness. 50 subway drivers were the subjects of this survey. As a result of analyzing the contents of the survey, environmental satisfaction was shown to be the lowest compared to psychological and morphological satisfaction. In the case of sleeping room, they wanted more comfortable and individual space. And the waiting room had the highest rate of usage frequency. The storage space was where the subway drivers showed the strongest attachment and was shown to be the only personal space. Most were shown to be satisfied with the outdoor space, but it had the lowest usage frequency. In addition, it is nessasery customized storage cabinet designed for subway drivers should be produced, which can effectively arrange the limited space. I hope that these direction of improvement can increase the healthy rest and work effectiveness of the locomotive engineers as it is directly being connected to the health and safety of the citizens.

A Convergence Work Experience of Nursing Students under Preceptorship (간호대학생의 프리셉터십 융복합 실습 경험)

  • This study is to understand the work experiences of nursing students under preceptorship in 3+1 year program, and suggests effective practice to prevent stopping nursing profession. Four focus group interviews were made with 23 nursing students in 3+1 year program. Data were analyzed through the grounded theory of Corbin and Strauss' (2008). Through comparative analysis, central phenomenon of was 'looking for lighthouse'. The causal condition was 'opportunity to learning practice'. Contextual conditions were 'mood of being a true nurse', 'getting vivid information about clinical field', and 'lack of students perception about preceptorship'. Intervention conditions were 'work environment', 'proactive learning' and 'attachment to the hospital'. Action/interaction strategies were 'adjustment to diverse demands of patients and guardians', 'feeling as if it were one's own affair', and 'looking as much as knowing'. Consequence were 'pride' and 'itinerary of learning as a new graduate nurse'. This study is meaningful because it gives useful basis to nursing students in the process of 'looking for lighthouse'.

Development of All-in-one Attachment Based Steel Pipe Pile Cutting Robot Prototype (강관말뚝 두부정리 및 절단 부위 핸들링 로봇의 프로토타입 개발)

  • The primary objective of this study is to develop an all-in-one based steel pipe pile cutting robot prototype that improves the conventional steel pipe pile head cutting work in safety, quality, and productivity. For this, the following research works are conducted sequentially; 1)literature review and expert survey, 2)selection of core technology using AHP analysis, 3)deduction of detail design, 4)verification of structural stability, 5)development of full-scale prototype. As a result leveling laser and laser detector(94.46), plasma cutter(96.72), rotary grapple(98.45) are selected as a core technologies. As an outcome, it is analyzed that gripper, cylinder pivot bracket and gripper base are structurally stable. Their maximum stresses are shown as 43.0%, 19.4%, 5.3% compared to their yield strength respectively. The development of full-scale prototype in this study will be utilized for the development of the all-in-one attachment based steel pipe pile cutting robot commercialization model.

Study on the Establishment of Barley Cultivation System using the Power Tiller (동력경운기를 중심으로한 맥류재배의 기계화 -관작업체계 확립에 관한 연구)

  • To maintain the self-sufficiency of food production , it is required to improved the productivity and increase the effective utilization of land in the double cropping areas using improved cultivation technology. The following reasons encourage this cours of action because the overlapping rice harvest and barely seeding seasons complete for labour, the lower price of barley makes it financially less attractive to grow and these two facts together are responsible for a decrease in barley being planted in certain more seasonably marginal double cropping areas. Fro these reasons, it is desirable to carry out tests to improve the current cultivation techniques . In this interest , the following studies were carried out in the experimental field located at Banweol-myeon, Whasung-jkun, Gyeonggi-do from October 1977 to July 1978 in order to establish the mechanical method of barley cultivation using the power tiller. The summarized results are as follows. 1. The work performance in the seeding operation using the rotary barley seeder was 68 minutes per 10 ares which compares favourably with 408 min/10a using the conventional method. This is only one sixth of the time required by th conventional method. The operating costs using the rotary barley seeder was 1, 463 won per 10 areas as against 3, 486 Won per 10 ares for the conventional method, showing a saving of about 50% in comparison with the conventional method. 2. In the manure spreading operation, the work performance was 25 min/10a for the manure spreading machine , compared to 1089 min/10a for the manual operations. This is about one fourth of the time required by the conventional method, The operating costs were 810 Won/10a for the machine and 857 Won/10a for the manual labour. This cost shows little advantage by the machine over the manual labor costs. The conventional method of manure spreading will continue pending decision which will develope and improve the machine.3. Work performance in the rolling operation using the barley rolIer was 30 min/lOa which compares favourably with 135 min/10a using conventional method. This was one fourth of the time required by the conventional method. The operating costs were 514 Won/103. for the machine and 1, 003 Won/lOa for manual labour. In the weed control operation, the work performance and operating costs were 45min/lOa, 1, 399won/10a for the herbcide application using the power sprayer, 1, 149min/10a 8, 541won/lOa for the conventional method respectively. This is 26 times higher efficiency in comparison to the conventional method. 4. In the harvesting operation using the reaper binder and tiller attachment, the work performance was 60min/lOa and represents a cost of 2, 039won/10a. The con\ulcornerventional method took 640min/10a at a cost of 4, 757won/lOa. The reaper binder showns a saving of one tenth over the conventional method. The automatic thresher is already recommended for the current situations, and is now being used. 5. From a comparison of the results of the above trials, the serial cultivation system using the attachment for the power tiller such as the rotary barley seeder is now to be recommended for the current barley cultivation system. It is also recommend from these results that the mechanized technology now available must be used to improve and maintain the increase in barley production. It is seen th1t this is the only course now avaihble to solve the peak seasonal requirements of labour needed for l11rvesting and seeding between rice and barley cultivation.

Assessing the Impact of Social Mission on Retention Intention of Female Employees in Social Enterprises (사회적 미션이 사회적기업 여성근로자의 재직의도에 미치는 조절효과 : 융합적 접근 모색)

  • Social enterprises are social mission-oriented entities, despite working entrepreneurial way. Mission orientation is recognized as a strong management tool that can motivate employees and remain there to accomplish it. This study investigated the role of social mission as well as job insecurity and job satisfaction as factors on retention of women in social enterprises. Binominal Logistic regression analysis is used. The result showed that 82.3% of respondents had intention to work at social enterprise. Also, social mission orientation of female workers had an effect of buffering the negative relationship between job insecurity and retention. These results suggest that social enterprises need to consider implicit working conditions as much as explicit work conditions for female-friendly jobs. Binominal Logistic regression analysis is used.

A Study of the Effects of Job Burnout on Organizational Effectiveness and Turnover Intention (직무소진이 조직유효성과 이직의도에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구)

  • This study attempted to investigate an efficient human resources management plan by enhancing organizational performance and reducing the factors which influence turnover intention after analyzing the effects of job burnout on organizational effectiveness and turnover intention. To test a research model, after explaining the purpose of the study to them at work, data were obtained through a standardized questionnaire survey. To figure out the effects of job burnout on organizational effectiveness and turnover intention, causality was analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM). According to hypothesis testing, a total of five hypotheses were chosen, and the following results were obtained: Job burnout had a significant effect on organizational commitment (-0.456), job satisfaction (-0.488) and turnover intention (0.501). In terms of relations between organizational effectiveness and turnover intention, organizational commitment (-0.350) and job satisfaction (-0.199) decreased turnover intention. Therefore, it is important to discover and analyze these obstacles which hinder employees from being absorbed in their work with attachment.

  • As contemporary building construction type is getting higher and deeper, construction equipment usage is getting more, and related fatal accidents are on an increasing trend. Because of this, a method was drawn which could grasp the present state of construction equipment management and manage safety of the equipment more easily for accident prevention by choosing 2 kinds of Construction equipment which cause safety accident frequently among the equipment mainly used in construction site. This study suggested a method about construction equipment safety management using "smart phone" base which could be used in safety management for construction equipment by whomever in construction site. After attachment of QR code included safety checklist, It became possible that site managers could check more efficiently by scanning with their smart phone when they inspect equipment. Moreover, by the construction interested who didn't know what and how they have to inspect could point out unsafe condition in the early stage of equipment entering or take unsafe one out of the site by using new smart phone safety checking system is installed, it became possible that critical accident caused by construction equipment was prevented in advance.

Effect of Organizational Support Perception on Intrinsic Job Motivation : Verification of the Causal Effects of Work-Family Conflict and Work-Family Balance (조직지원인식이 내재적 직무동기에 미치는 영향 : 일-가정 갈등 및 일-가정 균형의 인과관계 효과 검증)

  • This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational support perception of workers in medical institutions on intrinsic job motivation, and to check whether there is significance in the mediating effect of work-family conflict and work-family balance factors in this process. The results of empirical analysis through the questionnaire are as follows. First, it was confirmed that organizational support recognition had a significant positive effect on work-family balance as well as intrinsic job motivation, and work-family balance had a significant positive effect on intrinsic job motivation. Second, it was confirmed that organizational support recognition had a significant negative effect on work-family conflict, but work-family conflict had no significant influence on intrinsic job motivation. Third, in order to reduce job stress for medical institution workers, it is necessary to reduce job intensity, assign appropriate workload for ability. And in order to improve manpower operation and job efficiency, Job training and staffing in the right place are needed. Fourth, in order to improve positive organizational support perception and intrinsic job motivation, It is necessary to induce long-term service by providing support and institutional devices to increase attachment to the current job and recognize organizational problems as their own problems with various incentive systems. The limitations of this study and future research directions are as follows. First, it is believed that an expanded analysis of medical institution workers nationwide by region, gender, medical institution, academic, and income will not only provide more valuable results, but also evaluate the quality of medical services. Second, it is necessary to reflect the impact of the work-life balance support system on each employee depending on the environmental uncertainty or degree of competition in the hospital to which medical institution workers belong. Third, organizational support perception will be recognized differently depending on organizational culture and organizational type, and organizational size and work characteristics, working years, and work types, so it is necessary to reflect this. Fourth, it is necessary to analyze various new personnel management techniques such as hospital's organizational structure, job design, organizational support method, motivational approach, and personnel evaluation method in line with the recent change in the government's medical institution policy and the global business environment. It is also considered important to analyze by reflecting recent and near future medical trends.

  • This research develops a sensorless hydraulic servo system of Parallel-Typed robot for harbour construction. Purpose of the robot is to mechanize the construction, which is accomplished through a joystick's operating by a stoneworker (or diver). The robot is attached on the end of an excavator as its attachment or transported by a crane to reach the desired place. The embedded compact controller is installed on the robot body and controlled by wireless telecommunication. For underwater work, it is necessary to waterproof the robot and its sensors. Especially, a sensor waterproof is a main drawback for the underwater robot. This leads us to develop a hydraulic robot position controller using an observer which gives the position information without any position sensor. We design a neural network to identify the displacement change according to the command voltage to servo valve. To verify the sensorless controller, this paper presents the performance of the sensorless control for which the position is given by the observer comparing with that of the sensor control for which the position is measured by LVDT sensors.
