Experimental analysis and modeling of steel fiber reinforced SCC using central composite design

  • The emerging technology of self compacting concrete, fiber reinforcement together reduces vibration and substitute conventional reinforcement which help in improving the economic efficiency of the construction. The objective of this work is to find the regression model to determine the response surface of mix proportioning Steel Fiber Reinforced Self Compacting Concrete (SFSCC) using statistical investigation. A total of 30 mixtures were designed and analyzed based on Design of Experiment (DOE). The fresh properties of SCC and mechanical properties of concrete were studied using Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The results were analyzed by limited proportion of fly ash, fiber, volume combination ratio of two steel fibers with aspect ratio of 50/35: 60/30 and super plasticizer (SP) dosage. The center composite designs (CCD) have selected to produce the response in quadratic equation. The model responses included in the primary stage were flowing ability, filling ability, passing ability and segregation index whereas in harden stage of concrete, compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural strength at 28 days were tested. In this paper, the regression model and the response surface plots have been discussed, and optimal results were found for all the responses.

초등학교 5학년 수학과 수행평가 과제 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of Mathematics Performance Assessment Tasks for the Fifth Graders in the Primary School)

  • This study aims to suggest a model of task development for mathematics performance assessment and to develop performance tasks for the fifth graders in the primary school on the basis of this model. In order to achieve these aims, the following inquiry questions were set up: (1) to develop open-ended tasks and projects for the fifth graders, (2) to develop checklists for measuring the abilities of mathematical reasoning, problem solving, connection, communication of the fifth graders more deeply when performance assessment tasks are implemented and (3) to examine the appropriateness of performance tasks and checklists and to modify them when is needed through applying these tasks to pupils. The consequences of applying some tasks and analysing some work samples of pupils are as follows. Firstly, pupils need more diverse thinking ability. Secondly, pupils want in the ability of analysing the meaning of mathematical concepts in relation to real world. Thirdly, pupils can calculate precisely but they want in the ability of explaining their ideas and strategies. Fourthly, pupils can find patterns in sequences of numbers or figures but they have difficulty in generalizing these patterns, predicting and demonstrating. Fifthly, pupils are familiar with procedural knowledge more than conceptual knowledge. From these analyses, it is concluded that performance tasks and checklists developed in this study are improved assessment tools for measuring mathematical abilities of pupils, and that we should improve mathematics instruction for pupils to understand mathematical concepts deeply, solve problems, reason mathematically, connect mathematics to real world and other disciplines, and communicate about mathematics.

명상이 집중도에 미치는 영향조사를 위한 EEG 뇌파 분석 (EEG Brainwave Analysis for Research on Meditation Influence to the Concentration)

  • 현대의 복잡한 도시생활로 인하여 많은 이들이 크고 작은 정신적인 스트레스를 호소하고 있으며 이에 따라 각종 정신질환에 노출되어 있다. 특히, 학생이나 직장인 할 것 없이 많은 이들이 집중력 부족으로 인하여 일의 능률 저하나 양질의 생활 유지에 어려움을 가지고 있다. 이러한 집중력을 향상시키기 위해 명상이 대안으로 떠오르고 있으며, 이러한 명상이 집중력에 어떠한 형태로 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위해 EEG 뇌파를 활용하여 실험하였다. 명상경험자를 실험대상으로 하였으며 뇌의 좌우반구의 전전두엽 영역에 배치된 AF3와 AF4영역을 중점적으로 관찰하고 분석하였다. 그 결과 리듬성 활동 뇌파의 특유한 패턴과 파워 스팩트럼의 변화를 관찰할 수 있었다.

AHP기법을 활용한 간호사의 NCS직업기초능력 우선순위 분석 (Priorities Analysis of NCS Vocational Key Competence of Nurse using AHP Method)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the research is understand the priorities of national competency standards vocational key competence factors in nurse who is work in Seoul and Incheon. Methods: The design of this study is descriptive investigation research, and the subjects were 144 nurse. we establish the vocational key competency defined in national competency standards as analytic hierarchy analysis model. The vocational key competency has 10 categories and 34 sub-categories. And based on the survey in nurse, the weight representing relative importance of each factor were calculated by using analytic hierarchy process method. Results: The analytic hierarchy process analysis on 10 categories showed that professional ethics(0.149) was higher than any other categories while that of numeracy(0.040) was at the bottom. And the analysis on sub-categories revealed that the most important factors in each categories included the Ethical community(Professional ethics), Conflict management skills(Interpersonal skills), Problem solving capability(Problem-solving skills), Listening skills(Communication skills), Applicable technical skills(Technical skills), Ability to understand business(Ability to understand organizational structures), Information processing capabilities(Information capacity), Self-management skills(Self-development capability), Ability to manage time(Resource management capabilities), Basic math skills(Numeracy). Conclusions: The results in this study can be used as basic data for the development of liberal arts curriculum for Nursing.

멀티미디어 기술을 활용한 초등학교 수준별 독서지원 시스템 개발 (The Development of Leveled Reading Education Support System Using Multimedia Technology for Elementary School)

  • 현행 초등학교 독서교육은, 학생들의 독서능력이나 수준과 관계없이 실시되고 있으며, 독서능력 측정을 위한 진단지의 부재, 텍스트 위주의 감상표현활동, 가정과 학교의 단절로 인한 독서교육 실시의 어려움이 문제점으로 제기되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 기술을 활용한 수준별 독서지원 시스템을 구안하였다. 시스템을 통하여 학생들의 독서능력을 정확하고 신속하게 진단하여 수준에 맞는 도서를 안내하고, 멀티미어 기술을 활용한 감상표현을 함으로써 독서에 흥미를 가질 수 있게 하였다.

  • This study proposes a collaboration system framework on the web service in a supply chain to implement an efficient virtual supply chain and improve an ability to fulfill received orders over a supply chain. The system based on the framework proposed in this paper plays an important role for automatic order negotiation and placing/receiving an order noticed in web service by the main system. Furthermore, it can evaluate the fulfillment of received orders over a supply chain by using the transaction results from hierarchically related vendors and establish efficient manufacturing plans. In a word, this system is the automated system for creating manufacturing plans, placing and receiving orders. A little more important main function of this system is that it has a dynamic evaluation capability about fulfillment with received orders over a supply chain, and improves the evaluation method of fulfillment ability with received orders with related to direct dealing vendors, which is a main problem in existing system. As a result, this system is able to reduce the work load of the sales and purchasing materials, production control division, to manage accurate inventory promptly, to maintain the optimal inventory level by analyzing the information of fulfillment ability with received orders, and to enhance the level of service for customers.

전문가집단을 활용한 Jigsaw II 협동학습이 과학지식, 탐구능력 및 학습태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Jigsaw II Expert Groupings on Studentis Knowledge, Inquiry Ability and Attitudes at Elementary School Science Study)

  • Recently, introduced open education, there are some models applied several cooperative teaming, but there is no case in applied Jigsaw Ⅱ. So this research is selected objects which are 147 students in the fifth grade in 1999' school year and 143 students in 2000's on Yongwon elementary school. It makes share a partial responsibility for planner, leader, investigator, helper, writer and reporter in the small groups, and apply the Jigsaw Ⅱ model. Qualitative and quantitative analyses show that they have effects of Jigsaw Ⅱ cooperative Learning on Student's knowledge, inquiry ability and attitudes on Elementary School Science Study. The final results are following. The significance of Knowledge has .02 in 1999 and .01 in 2000. Testification of Inquiry ability has 1.75 in 1999 and 2.25 in 2000. The significance of Attitudes has .03 in 1999 and .00 in 2000. Research that has emerged from the cooperative teaming has led us to better understandings of multi purposed roles, interactions, and communities that arise when students work together to team science. Each of students can also cooperative as co-builders, working as equal participants to create a product that is better than that while would have built by either individual alone. Upon asking their intention, cooperative loaming shows more participation.

수준별 학습을 없앤다면? 다수준 영어 수업에 대한 교수자의 인식 (What Happens When We Get Rid of Levels? Instructors' Perceptions of Mixed-Ability EFL Courses)

  • 본 연구는 한국 대학에서 외국어로서의 영어교육 환경에서 다수준 수업을 진행하는 강사들의 다수준 수업에 대한 인식과 각기 다른 영어 능력과 교육적 요구가 있는 학생들을 가르칠 때 강사들이 활용한 교수전략에 대해서 알아보고자 한다. 이를 위해 한국의 한 대학에서 교양영어수업을 담당하는 스무 명의 교수자가 설문지에 참여하였고, 그 중 세 명은 후속 면담에 참여하였다. 설문지와 후속 면담의 결과에 따르면 교수자들이 인식한 다수준 수업의 경험은 긍정적이었다. 교수자들은 학생들을 동기부여하기 위해서 수업 참여에 대한 명확한 지침을 제시하였고, 그룹 활동을 통해 높은 수준의 학생들이 낮은 수준의 학생들을 도울 수 있다는 점을 알게 되었다. 또한 학생들의 다수준 수업에서 학생들의 교육적 요구를 만족시키기 위해서 특수목적영어교육이 필요할 것 같다고 하였다.

The cAMP/Protein Kinase A Pathway and Virulence in Cryptococcus neoformans

  • The basidiomycete fungus Cryptococcus neoformans is an important pathogen of immunocompromised people. The ability of the fungus to sense its environment is critical for proliferation and the generation of infectious propagules, as well as for adaptation to the mammalian host during infection. The conserved cAMP/protein kinase A pathway makes an important contribution to sensing, as demonstrated by the phenotypes of mutants with pathway defects. These phenotypes include loss of the ability to mate and to elaborate the key virulence factors capsule and melanin. This review summarizes recent work that reveals new targets of the pathway, new phenotypic consequences of signaling defects, and a more detailed understanding of connections with other aspects of cryptococcal biology including iron regulation, pH sensing, and stress.

센서 네트워크에서 효율적인 센서 배치 문제의 새로운 접근 방향 (New Approach for the Efficient Sensor Deployment in Sensor Networks)

  • 우리는 센서 영역에서 노드들을 효율적으로 배치하기 위한 새로운 관점의 문제를 제안하고자 한다. 기존 연구에서는 센서 영역에서 발생하는 이벤트를 잘 감지할 수 있도록 센서를 배치하기 위해서 임의의 지역에서의 센싱 능력 목표량(Threshold) T의 값 이상을 보장하도록 배치하는 방법을 사용하였다. 하지만, 센서 영역의 형태가 달라지거나 센서 영역 내에 중요성이 다른 지역이 있다면 위의 방법이 효율적이지 않다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 센서들의 평균적인 센싱 능력이 최대가 되도록 배치하는 접근방안과 그 필요성을 제안한다.
