  • The purpose of this study was to examine the levels of depression experienced by Korean hospital nurses (N=198) and to identify discriminating factors of their depression experience among personal and environmental characteristics. Method: A cross-sectional survey design was used to answer the research questions. A sample consisted of 198 hospital nurses in Korea. The data were collected from May 1999 to March 2000. Descriptive and discriminant analyses were utilized. Result: Korean nurses experienced low levels of depression. Twenty nine percent of nurses in the study experienced depression based on the cut-point suggested by Radloff. Role ambiguity, working in the tertiary hospital, work satisfaction in autonomy, professional status and interaction within nurses were significant discriminating factors for nurses' depression. These factors correctly

  • Cutting edge plays an important role in generating machined surface. In order to consider the geometric effects of the cutting edge on mechanical states, the concept of ploughing force and stagnation point was introduced which explains the generating mechanism of machined surface during cutting. The effects of edge radius and nose radius of cutting tool on the distribution of residual stresses of the machined surface having several hardness were studied. Good machined surface having high compressive residual surface stresses can be achieved if cutting tools having large edge radius and small nose radius are used for cutting work materials having high hardness with high depth of cut. The magnitude of edge radius and the hardness of work material also affected the shape of the chip in orthogonal cutting.

  • Women's educational opportunities have been increasing and women's general advancement in higher education is the underlying factor behind the increasing number of female students in medical school. A number of issues affect female students and residents, including the existence of gender bias and sexual harassment, higher stress levels and lower levels of work satisfaction, the lack of role models in academic medicine, and conflict between work and family roles, including challenges surrounding having children. To what extent female and male medical students and residents make different career and life style choices is also an important issue. The shortage of doctors in surgical departments and maldistribution among specialties are of great concern in the health care system and medicine's future. We must prepare to solve these problems. New medical policies and educational approaches are needed for the future.

It is the purpose of this study to present problems and to suggest directions through empirical research because a female banker offers service directly for National welfare. The research findings are as follows : (1) A female banker They have to work with a pride and a sense of duty which they serve for society. (2) Bank's inside organization A strong leadership of a manager and a rational management of personnel system are needed. (3) A labor union It must lay stress on enlargement of welfare work and understand opinion of a union member.

  • Today, due to the development of the 4th industrial revolution such as artificial intelligence, the security threat of the military organization is increasing. A study that can contribute to complying with military security is needed by studying the effects of influence factors occurring in this changing or newly emerging security environment on information security stress and security compliance behavior intention. In previous studies, task overload, task complexity, task uncertainty, and task conflict were extracted among environmental influencing factors that cause security stress. We empirically analyzed how these influencing factors affect security stress and whether they play a mediating role in security stress. As a result of the analysis, it was analyzed that the security stress was affected in the order of task overload, task conflict, and task uncertainty. Information security stress did not significantly affect security compliance behavior intention, but it was found to mediate the effect of task overload on security compliance behavior intention. This causes information security stress due to heavy security work in the military organization, which ultimately leads to lower security compliance behavior. Therefore, the security policy to manage this situation should be promoted first.

  • This study examined the effects of teacher job stress and emotional intelligence on the turnover intent and job satisfaction. To this end, an early childhood teacher survey of 220 people using SPSS 9.0 data processing, analysis, and the independent variables were used to predict the dependent variable. Simple regression analysis and regression analysis of a follow-up examination were then performed. In the first study, the early childhood teachers' turnover intention due to job stress and job satisfaction revealed job stress to be a significant factor. The children's lack of leadership and administrative support work overload factors contributed to causes of stress. The turnover intention appeared to affect the mind. Second, early childhood teachers job satisfaction, job stress and turnover intention were affected by attempts to mediate the influence of job stress. Therefore, mediation plays a significant role. These results show that infant teacher duties affect the turnover intention and job satisfaction.

  • Objective: This study was carried out to examine factors influencing job stress and health promotion behavior of medical doctors, who play the important role for improving people's health. The data were collected from 340 medical doctors working in clinic and hospitals in Daegu using self-administered questionnaires over the period from July 1 to August 15, 2018. Methods: A multiple regression model was used to study the factors influencing job stress and health promotion behavior of medical doctors. Results: This study showed that average job stress level of the subjects was 3.06 out of 5 point. The medical doctors with carrying out surgery and longer working time tend to have higher job stress level compared to other groups without surgery and having short working time. And medical doctors generally do not have good health promotion behavior and average level of practice of health promotion behavior of the subjects was 2.30 out of 5. The groups with high rate of quitting job and working in hospital tend to have lower practice level of health promotion behavior compared to other groups. And it also showed that the groups with higher the job satisfaction rate and vocational aptitude tended to have the higher level of practice of health promotion behavior compared with other groups. Conclusions: Medical doctors tend to have higher job stress level, whereas they have relatively lower health promotion behavior compared with people with other jobs. Thus, strengthening of health education and counselling for medical doctors and improvement of work environment considering job's characteristics is needed. In particular, the education for job stress management and health promotion in regular continuing education program organized by medical doctors's association should be strengthened.

  • The objective of this analytical study is to calculate the elasto-plastic stresses of Functionally Graded (FG) hyperbolic disc subjected to uniform temperature. The material properties (elastic modulus, thermal expansion coefficient and yield strength) and the geometry (thickness) of the disc are assumed to vary radially with a power law function, but Poisson's ratio does not vary. FG disc material is assumed to be non-work hardening. Radial and tangential stresses are obtained for various thickness profile, temperature and material properties. The results indicate that thickness profile and volume fractions of constituent materials play very important role on the thermal stresses of the FG hyperbolic discs. It is seen that thermal stresses in a disc with variable thickness are lower than those with constant thickness at the same temperature. As a result of this, variations in the thickness profile increase the operation temperature. Moreover, thickness variation in the discs provides a significant weight reduction. A disc with lower rigidity at the inner surface according to the outer surface should be selected to obtain almost homogenous stress distribution and to increase resistance to temperature. So, discs, which have more rigid region at the outer surface, are more useful in terms of resistance to temperature.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an ACT group counseling program for the purpose of alleviating and healing the job stress and burnout of nursing care workers and to verify the effectiveness of the ACT group counseling program. To this end, the goal and theoretical model, content, operation and evaluation of the program were composed and applied according to the procedure. The main research results are as follows. First, as a result of measuring the job stress of the study subjects, there was a positive change in the group participating in the program. Second, as a result of measuring the level of job burnout of the study subjects, there was a positive change in the group participating in the program. Third, as a result of measuring the level of role conflict of the study subjects, there was a positive change in the group participating in the program. Fourth, as a result of measuring the level of over-role of the study subjects, there was a positive change in the group participating in the program. Fifth, as a result of measuring the level of role ambiguity of the study subjects, there was a positive change in the group participating in the program. As a practical implication, by including the ACT theory and practice plan in various nursing care providers training courses, the ability to respond to job burnout and job stress is increased, and ultimately, by increasing the psychological flexibility of nursing care workers, the opportunity for essential change in attitude toward work and life describe what to provide.
