  • BACnet(Building Automation and Control networks) is a standard data communication protocol designed specifically for building automation and control systems. BACnet provides five options for datalink layer protocols and these five datalink layer options can be applied with various transmission media. Recently wireless technology prevails in automation area. ZigBee is a standard protocol based on IEEE 802.15.4 for low-speed wireless communication network. In this study, we propose a BACnet/ZigBee model that uses ZigBee wireless technology in a BACnet communication network system as a wireless datalink layer protocol. We also applied this model to a lighting control system to evaluate the feasibility of proposed technology. The technology proposed in this paper can extend the application of BACnet not only for building automation but also for home automation by taking the advantages of ZigBee wireless communication technology in BACnet communication network systems.

  • Many surveillance cameras used in security system are controlled with RS-485 communication protocol. In this situation, if RS-485 connection can be replaced with wireless connection using sensor network technology, an installation will become ease because of no wired connection and also a deployment of cameras will become free. This paper explains about the design of wireless sensor node and the necessary implementation for an operation, which can be replacing RS-485 connection for the development of CCTV control system based on wireless sensor network. The hardware platform of sensor node was designed based on MicaZ and the software was developed based on TinyOS. To control surveillance cameras deployed on wide area, the supporting of multi-hop also was implemented. With the result of experiment deploying on real environment, it was revealed that the controller could control cameras quickly with wireless.

  • In this paper a design and implementation method of remote control system for automobile is presented. For this, we used the Bluetooth technology for remote and wireless communications and microcontroller for system control. By using these techniques, we can design and implement automobile remote control system to improve data error rate, security and application.

  • Wired and wireless communication technique is growing rapidly. As the number of communication users is larger problems such as network congestion and signal interference between users are getting most important, There have been researches that try to solve them by control theoretic approaches. They apply various control theories to the control issues of communication. this paper surveys these researches and classifies them into ATM TCP/IP and wireless communication according to the target. The feedback control model of each communication protocol is shown and related researches are summarized and analyzed.

  • In this paper, a distributed power and end-to-end rate control algorithm is proposed in the presence of licensed users. By Lagrangian duality theory, the optimal power and rate control solution is given for the unlicensed users while satisfying the interference temperature limits to licensed users. It is obtained that transmitting with either 0 or the maximum node power is the optimal scheme. The synchronous and asynchronous distributed algorithms are proposed to be implemented at the nodes and links. The convergence of the proposed algorithms are proved. Finally, further discussion on the utility-based fairness is provided for the proposed algorithms. Numerical results show that the proposed algorithm can limit the interference to licensed user under a predefined threshold.

  • We describe a research about remote control of mobile robot based on voice command in this paper. Through real-time remote control and wireless network capabilities of an unmanned remote-control experiments and Home Security / exercise with an unmanned robot, remote control and voice recognition and voice transmission are possible to transmit on a PC using a microphone to control a robot to pinpoint of the source. Speech recognition can be controlled robot by using a remote control. In this research, speech recognition speed and direction of self-driving robot were controlled by a wireless remote control in order to verify the performance of mobile robot with two drives.

  • A hybrid control of a rectifier/regulator of wireless power transfer systems for electric vehicles is studied. A combined rectifier/regulator is used for charging control. The hybrid control comprises integral cycle control and pulse width modulation control to cope with the variations in the induced voltage due to clearance and alignment. The hybrid control has good control capability and does not cause severe switching loss. A 22 kW prototype of the Wireless Power Transfer class 4 charging system defined by the Society of Automotive Engineers is constructed and tested to verify the proposal.

  • Sensor network supports data delivery from Physical world to cyber space. Sensors get physical events then wireless network transfers sensor data to service server. We use sensor network technology to light control system for intelligent building. In ubiquitous computing environment. wireless sensor network is basic tool for intelligent service. In this paper, we propose intelligent building light control system based on wireless sensor network. It is implemented using previous light control product, can be adopted to present building light system.

  • In this paper, a wireless control network based on IEEE 802.15.4 MAC protocol is proposed. The superframe of IEEE 802.15.4 is applied to the proposed wireless control network. The transmission and bandwidth management method are proposed for efficient transmission in the superframe. By these methods, the proposed wireless control network protocol is able to transmit three types of data (periodic data, sporadic data, and non real-time message), and guarantee real-time transmission within deadline.

  • In this paper, a novel wireless parallel operation algorithm of N+l redundant UPS system with no control interconnections for load-sharing is presented. The proposed control system eliminates the sensing noise and interconnections interference of conventional parallel operation system. To reduce a reactive power deviation in wireless control method, this technique automatically compensates for inverter parameter variation and line impedance imbalances with wireless auto-tuning method. In addition, to increase reliability on transient characteristics of parallel operation, a virtual injected impedance is adopted to eliminate a circulation current among inverter modules. Simulation results are provided in this paper to prove the proposed novel wireless algorithm.
