This paper aims to examine the effects of homeownership and residential types on the economic values of urban green spaces. Green open spaces as public goods provide positive externalities that are comprised of pecuniary and technological externalities. Seoul, South Korea, is used as a case study using choice experiments, with split-sample online respondents of 1,000. The study results evidenced that the differentiation between the two types of externalities is imperative for equitable provisions and efficient management of various urban open spaces. There is a positively significant and substantial impact of homeownership for apartment dwellers, ceteris paribus, but not for house dwellers. For apartments, the efficiency loss can be reduced by increasing green spaces up to the critical point where the marginal cost is at equilibrium with tenants' marginal values. For non-apartment houses, it is not homeownership but the monthly household income that has a significant impact on the amenity value. In general, public benefits from green spaces are equivalent to 16% to 33% of the current residential prices on average for a view or access. Different residential types do not cause a significant impact on the access values. Residential profiles for green spaces were developed, together with tailor-made policy suggestions.
Using the Choice Experiment Method, this paper identified whether subsidy to the household around landfil in Seoul metropolitan area is being provided corresponding to the scale of the environmental damage. Since 2001, the subsidy program has been operating for nearly 20 years to compensate for various environmental damage (foul odor, noise, air pollution, water pollution, etc.) from landfill site in the metropolitan area, but it is not clear on what ground the subsidy is allocated. This paper estimated the marginal WTP by attribute (odor, noise, air pollution, and water pollution) based on mixed logit model and compared them with current subsidy level per household in each town. As a result of the comparison, it was found that the subsidy for each town was not allocated in proportion to the amount of the marginal WTP for each household in the corresponding town. In addition, this paper constructs a level-by-level scenario for environmental improvement attributes and compares economic benefits and current subsidy levels. As a result, the current subsidy level is insufficient compared to the level at which environmental damage is completely eliminated, but excessive subsidy is allocated compared to partial improvement levels.

The purpose of this study was to provide information on adoptive families and obtain the basis data for adoption-related programs that are useful to adoptive families by examining their experiences in the adoption process, post-adoption adaptation, and adoption programs. For the study, in-depth interviews were conducted on six mothers who publicly adopted elementary school children and had expressed high satisfaction with adopted families and their willingness to participate in this research voluntarily. The main results exhibited parents' happiness post-adoption along with positive changes, such as internal growth, marital love growth, favorable response from others, and child's unexpected responses to adoption. However, open adoption mothers have coped with efforts to sympathize with and accept their children's feelings as they suffer from adoption, and with active support from their spouses, parents, and their own children. Open adoption mothers participated in various adoption-related programs, support, and voluntary self-help groups provided by adoption agencies or public organizations, and above all, their experience in self-help groups and peer groups of adopted children was found to be very useful. Based on these main results, we suggested strengthening welfare services for open adoption families, implementing education to better understand adoption, education for school teachers, students, and welfare staff, providing practical programs for adoptive families, and promoting self-help groups.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of flipped learning through EBSmath on Students' 'rate and ratio' learning. By increasing demands for change in education, an innovative teaching and learning paradigm, 'Flipped Learning', has been presented and drawing attentions. In South Korea, Flipped Learning is also highly recognized for its effectiveness by many scholars and various media. However, this innovative learning model has limitations in application and expansion due to the excessive burden of class preparation of teachers. As remote learning becomes more active, it would be possible to overcome the limitations of Filliped learning by using the platform provided by the Korea Educational Broadcasting System (EBS). EBSmath is an online learning module that is designed to assist students' self-directed learning. Thus, EBSmath would reduce teachers' burden to prepare mathematics classes for the application of Flipped Learning; and led to students' better understanding of mathematical concepts and problem solving. In this study, the effect of Flipped Learning through EBSmath on learning 'rate and ratio' was investigated. In order to scrutinize the effects of flipped learning, students' achievement and mathematical disposition were examined and analyzed. Students' achievement, specifically, was divided into two subcategories: concept understanding and problem solving. As a result, Flipped learning through EBSmath had a positive effect on students' 'rate and ratio' problem solving. In addition, a statistically significant change was identified in the 'willingness', which is subdomain of students' mathematical disposition.
The purpose of this research was to examine the perceptions of CEOs and HR managers on family-friendly management and family-friendly company certification in small- and medium-size businesses. Six CEOs and HR managers participated in focus group interviews. Five themes were identified: provision of various family-friendly workplace policies, recognition of the need for family-friendly management, difficulty introducing family-friendly management and family-friendly workplace policies, willingness to acquire family-friendly company certification, and ways to expand family-friendly management and family-friendly company certification. All participants agreed on the need for family-friendly management and provided different family-friendly workplace policy suggestions for employees regardless of their interests in acquiring family-friendly company certification. However, they also had difficulties introducing family-friendly workplace policies. This finding suggests that different incentives are needed to encourage companies to expand family-friendly workplace policies.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of multicultural competence on the organizational effectiveness of multicultural competence through the questionnaire survey of 327 kindergarten teachers attending C university in Seoul, Statistics were made using IBM SPSS Statistics 20.0. The results of this study are as follows: First, the relationship between multicultural differentiation and multicultural knowledge, national identity, multicultural differentiation, relationship between multicultural awareness and willingness of multiculturalism, relationship between multicultural knowledge and organizational adaptability, relationship between multicultural awareness and organizational adaptability, There was a positive relationship between the relationship between organizational productivity, the relationship between multicultural differentiation and organizational productivity, and the relationship with global citizenship behavior. Second. Only multicultural awareness has an effect on organizational adaptability and organizational productivity. Therefore, in order to improve the organizational effectiveness of the nursery in the era of convergence, it is necessary for the nursery teachers to have an education program related to multicultural awareness in connection with organizational adaptability and organizational productivity, which are subordinate factors of organizational effectiveness.
The purpose of this article is to examine whether Myanmar's experience in which dealing with the most exemplary change among rogue states or pariah state in the 21st century is feasible for North Korea's case. Recently, North Korea's willingness to dialogue, reform and open is similar to the precedent in which the Myanmar military junta dismantled its ruling system and turned over transition period through general elections in 2010 and 2015 each. The so-called 'Myanmar Model' refers to a country branded as a rogue state which has been under the international sanctions and pressure, and opening its political system and the market by choosing transformation. However, rapid changes in speed across the entire society after opening up are impossible because the political elite is only the leading role and implementation in the transition. In case of Myanmar, military culture has penetrated into society due to such a long-lasting military dictatorship, and even democratic bloc has become accustomed to authoritarian decision-making process. Furthermore, the "reserved area" of the old regime still exists in a deformed political structure that can not retrieve the interests of the military. Therefore there could not be achieved political development in term of qualification. North Korea also appears unlikely to achieve political and economic assessment in a short period of time, as civil society has not appeared due to its long dictatorship and very low economic development levels. Like Myanmar, North Korea is also likely to control the pace and direction of upcoming reforms and open, as the dictator or most powerful person chose to reform and open up. Therefore, if North Korea moves toward the 'Myanmar Model', there will be high expectations of new changes in the short term, but it could be delayed or stalled in the mid and long term.
This study was carried out to evaluate the job implementation of in-service training on career education & guidance teacher's career education in the National Education Training Institute. To accomplish this purpose, pre-survey & pre-survey, sucess case method, and return on expectation were investigated after 3 months completing in-service teacher training. The populations of this study were conducted for 136 career education & guidance teachers who completed in-service teacher training at the National Education Training Institute in July, 2018, and it was conducted by survey research and qualitative content analysis of job implementation. Among the 136 trainees who completed the training, 75 responded to the job implementation survey and 4 people participated in the successful case technique. As a result, the average value of job implementation was 4.17 out of 5 points, which was relatively high. The success case technique was analyzed by interviewing success cases and failure cases. Behavior change according to job implementation was the biggest role of Planner, followed by role of Instructor, role of Career educator, role of Learner. In addition, the case analysis provided the opinions of the interviewers in terms of motivation, competence, and environment for job implementation. In terms of the return on expectation, 85.3% of the respondents were positive, and the net promoter score was .85, indicating that the participants were satisfied with their willingness to participate in the training again. Based on the results of this study, we suggest that it will be required to study about new training methods and extra factor analysis.

This study was conducted to identify the factors related to the patient demographics and smoking factors on smoking cessation success and maintenance of subjects at the 6th and 12th week at a public hospital. This study utilized secondary data collected through the smoking cessation program of the 2014 public health care program, which is mediated for 6 weeks and checked for maintenance on the 12th week. The data were analyzed by the chi-square test, t-test and logistic regression analysis. There were 90 subjects in total, 85 men (94.45%) and 5 women (5.55%). The smoking success group and smoking failure group showed significant differences in family type (${\chi}^2=4.496$, p=0.037), education (${\chi}^2=12.253$, p=0.002), smoking amount per day before program (t=-2.906, p=0.005), and nicotine dependence before program (t=-3.081, p=0.003) after 6 weeks. Factors influencing smoking cessation success were religion (OR=3.719, 95% CI=1.076-12.859) and nicotine dependence before program (OR=0.713, 95% CI=0.520-0.976). Factors influencing smoking cessation maintenance were family type (OR=0.017, 95% CI=0.001-0.507) and no-smoking willingness (OR=2.062, 95% CI=1.059-4.015). For smoking cessation to be successful and sustainable, it is necessary to develop programs specific for the characteristics of the subjects; accordingly, continuous research and support are needed.
This study attempts to analyze the consumers' preference on Korean Red Ginseng Tonic, which is an essential product to revitalize Korean ginseng industry, using choice experiment method. The attributes used in the choice experiment were the ginseng age, good agricultural products(GAP), sugar, and price. A total of 1,796 experiments were collected and the value of each preferred attributes was estimated using a multinomial logistic model. The result shows that the products made from six-year-old and GAP(Good Agriculture Practice) approved Korean ginseng with less sugar were preferred. These estimated monetary values of marginal willingness to pay were about 94,000 KRW, 89,000 KRW, 5,000 KRW, respectively. Thus, the efforts to introduce and advertize GAP approved ginseng while developing new products with preferred attributes by general publics are necessary in the short run. In addition, we may need to consider developing the way to promote products using 4- and 5-year-old ginsengs, which are relatively underestimated in their health effectiveness but highly productive for farmers in the long run.
