  • We propose an electric wheelchair that is suitable for the upper-limbs disabled with sufficient operability and low expenses. Features of this wheelchair, 1) By instating a simple mechanical module, existing electric wheelchairs can be readily converted to a special version for the upper-limbs disabled. 2) The electric wheelchair can be freely operated by motion of a head. 3) A vision system to assure safety operation by the disabled is introduced.

  • 인간이 역사를 이루며 살아오면서 피복은 인간의 생활 수단으로서 빠뜨릴 수 없는 존재가 되었다. 사외 생활을 하면서 인간은 자신을 보호하고 남에게 자신의 이미지를 전달하고 자신의 욕구를 표출하면서 만족시키는데 있어 의복은 가장 중요한 역활을 하고 있고 인간 역시 그러한 것들을 의복에 의존하고 있는 것이다. 그러나 정상인을 위한 의복만 취급되어지는 시장에서 신체장애자들은 정상인보다도 더 세심하게 기능들이 고려된 의복이 필요함에도 불구하고 의복의 기능들을 생각하면서 의복을 선택할 수가 없다. 이러한 사앙들이 대두되면서 현대에 들어 신체 장애자 의복에 있어서 불편함을 없애고 보다 적합한 의복을 만들기 위한 연구가 진행되었다. 신체 장애자의 의복 연구는 Ward가 이 부분에 관심을 표명한 이후 임상 의사들에 의해 연구가 이루어지기 시작했다. 우리나라에서도 1976년 심성식의 한국 신체 장애자의 의복에 관한 연구를 기점으로 이 분야의 관심도가 높아지고 있으나 아직까지는 전반적으로 부족한 실정이다. 특히 위생적인 분야에서는 자료가 매우 부족하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 휠체어를 사용하는 하지 마비자의 체표 면을 떠서 기성복 패턴과 비교를 통해 보다 편안한 바지 패턴을 제시하고, 여름철에 많이 사용하는 직물로 바지를 제작하고 착용시킨후 인체 생리 반응을 분석하여 여름철에 쾌적한 바지를 알아 보았다. 이 연구를 통해 일반인과는 생활 자세가 다른 휠체어를 사용하는 하지 마비자와 일반인이 입는 기성복 바지를 착용 했을 때 생기는 불합리한 요소들을 고려하여 미적이고 기능적 및 위생적인 측면에서 신체 장애자에게 보다 적합한 바지를 제작하기 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다.값은 $f^{m}$ (p-1)-1 이다.   • The objective of this study is to investigate the difference between the standard 'design guideline' in barrier free laws for the disabled and the disabled's real experience in public convenient facilities. It is mainly focused on accessibility by the disabled people who use an electric motion wheel chair, a wheel chair and crutches as well as a visual impaired person in the public resident centers. For this purpose, four resident centers in Busan have been selected as the objects of investigation. We observed and video recorded the disabled people with various handicaps to access and use facilities in four resident centers, and interviewed them afterwards. We found out problems from the perspective of the disabled and figured out the difference between barrier free laws and the disabled's real experience. The research result is as follows. First, it is important to make the arrangement of public convenient facilities according to the flow of the user's movements. Second, it is necessary to provide better conditions for the disabled to access the public toilet easily and conveniently. Third, it is essential for public convenient facilities to be more strictly controlled by regulations. Fourth, we need to make better standards that could reflect real experiences of various disabled users. Fifth, we need to keep providing the best follow-up service for the disabled in terms of using public convenient facilities safely. This study can contribute for designers to understand specific users through their experiences and suggest improvement ideas for better public convenient Facilities.

  • As standard of living is higher and aging society is coming, it is needed to develop transportation that is easy to use for weak person. To comply with the demands, it is started to make Bi-modal Tram that is on KRRI(Korea Railroad Research Institute)'s hands. This tram has to have good accessibility like bus, be low level from ground like subway, and park accurately so wheel chair's or passenger's foot can't fall into the gap. But Bi-modal Tram have long length, so it need development of All Wheel Steering System. The Bi-modal Tram that have all wheel steering system steer not only the first axle but also the second and third axle from the first axle or articulation angle, and velocity, and so on. At this study, we discuss AWS ECU's development process.

  • 본 논문은 휠체어의 탑승자의 구동력과 BLDCM(Brushless DC Motor) 에서 출력되는 보조력인 전기적인 구동력을 동시에 사용하는 탈부착형 수전동 휠체어의 제어기를 제안한다. 제안된 방식에서는 탈부착형 수전동 휠체어 제어기는 휠체어의 기울기와 휠체어의 상관관계를 바탕으로, 탑승자의 휠체어 림 구동 상태를 추정하여 휠체어의 전동력을 전달하는 BLDCM에서 구동력을 사용자의 지령에 따라 보조하도록 제어한다. 사용자의 요구 상태는 림의 구동에 따른 휠체어의 상태를 가속도, 자이로 센서를 이용해 측정을 하게 되고, 이를 상보필터를 사용해 각도를 보정하여, 지령치를 계산하고, 구동부는 지령치에 따라 휠체어에 필요한 전동력을 발생하게 된다. 탈부착형 수전동 휠체어의 제어방식은 시뮬레이션을 통해 가능성을 검증하였다.

A Study on Welding of Dissimilar Materials for Van-Ramp Design and Production (승합차의 램프 디자인과 제작을 위한 이종재료의 접합)

  • There are about 2.4million disabled in Korea, 2009. Also, Korean society entered into an aging society. Therefore disable and elderly are getting more involved in our society. This study proposes simple ramp design for wheel chair users and welding method and condition for manufacturing. In the middle of ramp, screw jack and motor are installed so that ramp can be moved left and right side. To make the ramp moves easily, ramp was fixed by installing LM guide on both sides. Ramp production for using Nd:YAG laser certain dissimilar welding in stainless steel sheet and cold reduced carbon steel. The output was fixed by 3kW, the speed was increased to 2~7m/min, Argon was used as shielding gas and the flow rate was changed to 10~30L/min. The proper welding condition is the output 3kW and welding speed 2~5m/min.

  • In case of the optimization problems that have many design variables, the conventional genetic algorithms(GA) fall into a trap of local minima with high probability. This problem is called the premature convergence problem. To overcome it, the parallel genetic algorithms which adopt the migration mechanism have been suggested. But it is hard to determine the several parameters such as the migration size and the migration interval for the parallel GAs. Therefore, we propose a new method to determine the migration interval automatically in this paper. To verify its validity, it is applied to some traditional mathematical optimization problems and is compared with the conventional parallel GA. It is also applied to the optimal design of the brushless DC motor for an electric wheel chair which is a real world problem and has five design variables.

The Effect of a Simulated Disability Exercise Program on Attitude and Stereotyping toward People with Disabilities by Nursing Students (간호대학생의 모의장애체험이 장애인에 대한 태도와 고정관념에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of a simulated disability program on attitude and stereotyping by nursing students toward people with disabilities. Methods: A total of 107 undergraduate nursing students attended and completed pre-and post-questionnaires on attitude and stereotyping. The experimental group participated in a simulation exercise program which was composed of wheel-chair mobility and vision modification in Nam-won Rehabilitation Center. The data were analyzed by the SPSS 12.0 program including frequency, percentage, ${\chi}^2$ test and t-test. Results: There was no significant difference in attitude toward people with disabilities between the two groups (t=-.743, p=.459). But there was a significant difference in stereotyping between the experimental and the control group(t=-4.097, p=.000). Conclusion: As the result of this study, we can conclude that the program was effective to improve stereotyping toward people with disabilities.
