최근 들어, 인터넷 사용자의 폭발적인 증가로 인하여 차별화된 웹 서비스를 제공해주는 웹 응용프로그램들의 개발이 활발해지고 있다. 이에 따라 웹 서버내의 품질향상을 보장해주는 웹 QoS 기술은 전자상거래나 웹 호스팅 같은 부분에서 점점 더 중요한 문제로 대두되고 있다. 그러나, 대부분의 웹 서버들은 FIFO 방식의 최선 서비스만을 제공하고 있으며, 정보의 중요도나 정보를 제공받는 사용자의 중요도에 따라 차별화된 품질보장을 제공하지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 웹 서비스의 차별화된 품질보장을 제공하는 웹 서버 구현을 위한 두 가지 접근 방식을 제시한다. 첫째는 커널 수준 접근방법으로, 커널 상에 실시간 스케줄링 프로세서를 두어 웹 서버에서 수행중인 스케줄링 프로세서와 연동시키고, 커널 내부에서도 웹 서버에서 할당된 사용자 요청 우선순위를 유지하도록 한다. 둘째는 부하분산 접근방법으로, IP 수준의 가장법과 터널링 기술을 이용하여 웹 서버의 부하를 분산하여 웹 서비스의 신뢰성을 보장하고 응답속도를 개선한다.

인터넷이 급속도로 발전하고 일반 텍스트 환경의 인터넷 서비스들의 WWW(World Wide Web)환경으로 바뀌어 가면서 쉬운 사용 환경으로 인한 인터넷 응용 서비스의 사용자들도 급속히 증가하고 있다. 따라서, 사용자들이 인터넷을 이용하면서 상대방에게 메시지를 보낼 수 있는 전자 메일 서비스를 이용하는 경우도 크게 증가하고 있다. 웹 기반 전자우편 시스템은 계정과 서비스를 제공하는 서버와 사용자와의 인터페이스 역할을 하는 클라이언트로 구성되며 웹 브라우저가 클라이언트의 역할을 담당한다. 즉, 일반 메일서버에 계정을 만들 수 없는 일반 사용자들이 웹 환경을 통하여 메일서비스를 제공받을 수 있도록 하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 웹을 기반으로 하는 전자 우편 시스템을 설계하였으며, 인터넷 익스플로러(Internet Explorer)를 기반으로 하는 사용자 환경과 리눅스 시스템을 기반으로 기존 전자 우편 시스템의 문제점을 해결하고 저렴한 가격으로 큰 기대효과를 만족시켰다. 스팸으로 등록된 메일 처리, 다중 메일 처리 등을 통한 효율적인 사용자 편의성을 제공하고, 메일의 폭주와 사용자의 급증으로 인한 시스템 저하 현상을 극복하는 효율적인 메일 서비스 엔진을 구현해서 시스템의 안정성을 제공하는 전자 우편 시스템을 개발한다.

This paper has developed the computer integration manufacturing system and Internet based tele-operations. The functions of CIMS include production planing, material requirement planning, work order generation, process control, quality control, shipping planning, warehouse and inventory management and material cost accounting.[1] In this paper focuses on the automatic warehouse control and inventory management by developing the information system as well as the Internet-based integration. The system overview is divided into three parts, the mechanical system, the computer and developed software to control and manage the information and the communication system. The mechanical system consists of the warehouse machine and forklift mobile robot controlled by programmable logic controller (PLC). The computer works on many functions such as control station interfaces with PLC, managing database and inventory, and Internet server to broadcast the inventory database to users via World Wide Web and monitoring the operation on web camera. Our scheme the inventory database can be checked easily anywhere and anytime when the users connect to the Internet. In this article, the lead-time and inventory level can be reduced therefore the holding cost and operating time is also decreased.

휴대폰이나 PDA를 이용한 모바일게임은 통신료가 상대적으로 비싸기 때문에 폰투폰 또는 온라인 게임대신 다운로드형의 게임이 주류를 이룬다. 특히 애완동물들이나 식물 둥 사용자의 분신과 같은 아바타를 육성 시키는 게임이 각광을 받고 있다. 아바타를 육성시키기 위해서는 다양한 아이템의 제공이 필수적이나 사용자간에 원하는 아이템의 종류가 틀리고 모바일 단말기로는 메모리 저장 용량에 한계가 있기 때문에 홈페이지를 통해서 원하는 아이템만을 선별해서 다운로드 받아야 한다. 또한 아이템들을 제공하는 게임 개발사에서는 새로운 아이템이 만들어 질 때마다 SMS메시지 등을 통해 사용자에게 알려줘야 하며 이를 위하여 WEB 서버와 WAP서버를 Call Back URL이나 ARS를 통해 연동 시켜야만 한다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 연동을 위한 구조를 설명하고 JAVA 기반의 휴대폰 운영체제에 적합한 연동 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 게임의 생명주기를 늘렸으며 수익성도 증대시킬 수 있다.

This paper describes design and implementation of a content manager in the Integrated Steaming Framework Architecture (ISSA) that is proposed by the authors. The ISSA can provide an environment to develop multimedia streaming applications under heterogeneous distributed systems. The goal of ISSA is to extend the limitations of existing streaming systems. It can support diverse media formats and high level programming environment for streaming application developers. Moreover, it is independent from underlying networks and operating systems, and compatible with the global real-time multimedia database system(BeeHive) so that streaming media is efficiently retrieved, stored, and serviced. The role of a content manager is important in the ISSA environment since it manages an information of media that are provided by the server, and allow users to access media more easily by means of conveying that information to the streaming server, Web server, and client efficiently. The proposed content manager is not only to meed these requirements, but also to provide streaming information to media source and transport manager in order to be an efficient streaming. Furthermore, it supports database transaction processing by using the database connector.

개방형 운영체제인 리눅스는 전통적인 웹, 메일, DNS, FTP 등의 서버뿐만 아니라, 클라우드 및 빅데이터 인프라 구축에도 사용되고 있다. 또한 데스크톱이나 모바일 기기, 스마트 TV 및 자동차 등에도 탑재되고 있다. 특히, 사물인터넷 시대로 접어드는 현 시점에서는 리눅스가 차지하는 비중이 더 커질 것으로 예상되고 있다. 리눅스의 사용이 증가함에 따라 보안이 중요한 요소로 부각되고 있고, 리눅스 시스템 보안의 핵심은 사용자 관리에 있다. 본 논문에서는 리눅스의 사용자를 분류하고, 사용자 관련 파일의 역할을 분석하였다. 마지막으로 리눅스의 사용자별 보안 관리 기법에 대해 알아보고, 유용한 사용자 보안 도구에 대해 분석하였다.

웹 게이트웨이는 WWW와 데이터베이스를 연동하는 인터페이스의 핵심을 차지하는 부분이다. KORDIC(Korea Research & Development Information Center)에서 개발된 기존의 KRISTAL-II정보 검색 시스템[1]은 단순 CGI 구조의 웹 게이트웨이를 채택하고 있다. 이러한 구조의 웹 게이트웨이는 구현이 쉬우나 대규모의 검색 요구를 효율적으로 처리하기 에는 부적합한 구조라는 단점이 있다. 웹을 통한 검색 요구가 RJWA점 증가하는 추세임을 감안할 때, 대규모의 검색 요구를 효율적으로 처리할 수 있는 웹 게이트웨이를 개발하는 것은 매우 중요한 일이다. 본 논문에서는 기존 KRISTAL-II 웹 게이트웨이의 단순 CGI 구조를 대규모의 검색 요구의 효율적인 처리에 적합한 3-tier 클라이언트-서버 구조로 개선하였다. 실험을 통해 제안하는 새로운 웹 게이트웨이의 성능을 평가한다.

Today, most of elevators have an emergency call facility for emergency situations. However, if the network installed in the elevator is also out of power, it cannot be used for the elevator remote monitoring and management. So, we develop an integrated and unified emergency call system, which can transmit not only telephone call but also data signals using PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network) in order to remote monitoring and management of elevators, even though a power outage occurs. The proposed integrated emergency call system to process multiple data such as voice and operational information is a multi-channel board system which is composed of an emergency phone signal processing module and an operational information processing module in the control box of elevator. In addition, the RMS(remote management server) systems based on the Web consist of a dial-up server and a remote monitoring server where manages the elevator's operating information, status records, and operational faults received via the proposed integrated and unified emergency call system in real time. So even if there's a catastrophic emergency, the proposed RMS systems shall ensure and maintain the safety of passengers inside the elevator. Also, remote control of the elevator by this system should be more efficient and secure. In near future, all elevator emergency call system need to support multifunctional capabilities to transmit operational data as well as phone calls for the safety of passengers. In addition, for safer elevators, it is necessary to improve them more efficiently by combining them with high-tech technologies such as the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence.

본 논문은 건물 에너지 저감을 위하여 이기종 인터페이스를 통합한 스마트 게이트웨이, 웹서버 그리고 건물 에너지 관리 시스템 구현방법에 대하여 기술하였으며 제안된 시스템은 건물 내의 에너지 저감을 위하여 서비스 모델과 운영 알고리즘을 적용하여 최대전력과 전력사용량 감축방법을 소개한다.

A medical image management system was implemented using WWW(world wide web) technology. The Httpd server was designed using PC with Linux operating system. The client used Netscape as its network browser. The image processing module of the client part was programmed in Java. The database was constructed with Bicom3 format images and programmed using Perl. The present technique can be used to standardize the network and user environment of PACS and teleradiology.
