  • The shear connection of the vertical construction joint of a slurry wall by the concrete shear key has excellent structural performance and is economical and eco-friendly. However, technology for forming concrete shear keys in the underground is still underdeveloped. This paper proposes the development of the construction technology required to form a concrete shear key at the vertical construction joint of the slurry wall.

  • Recent study about near-surface is proposed to overcome non-economic of underground railway and to reduce people's complaints of ground elevated railway. In this report, precast modular structure system replacing temporary facilities is applied to ensure the construction ability and economic feasibility. To verify the performance of connection joint between permanent structural wall and upper slab, loading test is carried out. As a result of the test, wall replacing temporary structure to slab connection is possible to transfer bending moment. By 30% increase of bending resistant performance for connection joint using coupler, coupler connection joint is more advantageous to resist bending moment compared to channel connection.

  • The purpose of current study is about how to construct wall-type APT in slip form and Deck plate applied different connection of materials that wall and slab. A proposal construct's solution is using the continuous a binding string that the main of contents are slab or stairs which horizon structure part construction is joined the vertical structure part, new we Proposed of 2 solution that new technology development. We'll suggest that the development is in the construct of higher stories APT more better other construction method. We expect that the new method is good but we have many things to solute themes. Thus, we decided that this development contents are needed that correct structural investigation and constructor's security of speciality and through a fact construct, correct verification.

  • This paper introduces a new hybrid structural connection joint that combines shear walls with section steel beams, fundamentally resolving the construction complexity issue of requiring pre-embedded connectors in the connection between shear walls and steel beams. Initially, a quasi-static loading scheme with load-deformation dual control was employed to conduct low-cycle repeated loading experiments on five new connection joints. Data was acquired using displacement and strain gauges to compare the energy dissipation coefficients of each specimen. The destruction process of the new connection joints was meticulously observed and recorded, delineating it into three stages. Hysteresis curves and skeleton curves of the joint specimens were plotted based on experimental results, summarizing the energy dissipation performance of the joints. It's noteworthy that the addition of shear walls led to an approximate 17% increase in the energy dissipation coefficient. The energy dissipation coefficients of dog-bone-shaped connection joints with shear walls and cover plates reached 2.043 and 2.059, respectively, exhibiting the most comprehensive hysteresis curves. Additionally, the impact of laminated steel plates covering composite concrete floors on the stiffness of semi-rigid joint ends under excessive stretching should not be disregarded. A comparison with finite element analysis results yielded an error of merely 2.2%, offering substantial evidence for the wide-ranging application prospects of this innovative joint in seismic performance.

  • Owing to Higher story tendency and ceiling hight restriction of recent times, even though the depth of Coupling Beam decreases the demand efficiency is coming to be high rather so it is the difficult to satisfy a demand efficiency with the actual existing RC/Steel condition. It has been researched a lot of methods as an alternative plan about these but designer cannot apply them for the reason ; the structure standard and theory background are not taking a triangular position. As accomplishing the test research about the beams-wall connections department of steel-plate composite coupling beams from the research in the study it examines closely the beams-wall connections conduct quality and tries to provide the fundamental data for reasonable and optimum connection department designs. It knows that connection fixation degree and composite conduct degree of member part together become the important variable showing an energy dissipation ability in Test result.

  • Main objective of this study is to examine the hysteretic behaviors and to evaluate the capacity of precast concrete (PC) large panel structures simulated from the prototype of 15-story building, Two 1/2 scaled precast concrete wall specimens and one monolithic reinforced concrete specimen were designed and tested under the cyclic loading conditions. The main parameter of test specimens in PC large panel structure is the type of details for vertical continuity of vertical steel in horizontal joint. Also the behaviors of PC large panel structures are compared with that of monolithic reinforcement concrete wall structure. From the results, the stiffness and energy dissipation ratio of the precast concrete specimens are shown little bit lower than those of monolithic reinforced concrete specimen. In the PC large panel structures, the specimen connected vertically by welding (strong connection) showed higher strength than that of the specimen connected vertically by joint box. However the failure pattern of the former showed more brittle than that of the latter due to the diagonal compressive failure of wall panels.

  • The demand for reinforcement in accordance with remodeling, seismic retrofit, and change of use of the existing structure is increasing. Originally, shear wall new and extension method has been adopted a lot as seismic retrofit methods. Recently, dry seismic retrofit method that uses structural steel is mostly adopted in order to minimize spatiotemporal aspect and underpinning that occurs when a construct shear wall. We redesigned the form of old and new concrete joint high-shear ring anchor that was developed according to recent reinforcement method and determined construction method. Shear tests were performed on High-Shear Ring Anchor for steel-concrete connection. Comparison with 4 tests shows that the average of test-to-prediction ratios is 1.01.

  • This research analyzed the structural efficiency and application by improving the 100 mm width vertical joint to 150 mm and developing three connection methods to reduce the difficulty in assembling and handling PC walls. Moreover, nonlinear finite analysis was used for analyzing. From the analysis results, when double width connection was applied, the PC wall showed larger load capacity and ductility due to the steel bar sharing loads efficiently. Moreover, as the dimension of loops and the number of bars increased, the maximum load capacity increased as well. Also, among the double width connections, the largest capacity showed in the order of welding, ring and C type loop. However, in case of welding type loop connection, the ring type loop is more stable due to changes in different site conditions. Therefore, thorough quality control of welding is necessary.

  • A connection was made between a single stretcher and 2 headers with 2 threaded nails (Type-A), and another one between 2 stretchers and 2 headers with 4 threaded nails (Type-B) to use as specimens. Type-C was the stretchers that are connected with 2 threaded nails by half lap joint at end-distance 5D to reinforce Type-B, Type-C1 the stretchers that are connected by half lap joint at end-distance 10D, and Type-C2 with 3 threaded nails at end-distance 10D. Compressive shear strength of Type-C, the supplementation of Type-B, was decreased by 30%, compared with that of Type-B. Those of Type-B and Type-C1 that used longer end-distance than Type-C were about the same, and that of Type-C2 connected with 3 threaded nails was 1.28-times stronger than that of Type-C1. Connection of the retaining wall using existing square timber has a problem between long and short stretchers and 2 headers. So it was investigated in the experiment to replace it. Therefore, if Type-B is replaced with Type-C2 in constructing the retaining wall, the crack and the rupture of timber caused by threaded nail as well as construction period can be reduced, and also it can be expected to increase their own strength.

  • This study presents the behavior of traditional wood structures of national heritage under earthquake loadings. A series of experimental program for four wood frames was performed to investigate characteristics of initial stiffness, behavior after ultimate loads, and hysteretic behaviors. The frames consisted of columns with a lintel by special joint and a bare frame was infilled by a mud wall. A pushover est was aimed to estimate the range of ultimate rotation of connection as a pilot test for cyclic load tests. One of frames infilled by a mud wall showed a larger stiffness than those of bare frames due to a strut action in the diagonal direction. However, the post yielding stiffness of the infilled frame was not increased.
