A Design of Proactive Authentication Technique for Stable Roaming In Wireless LAN Environment (무선 랜 환경에서 안정적인 로밍을 위한 선행 인증기법 설계)

  • Wireless LAN is intrinsically weak in security of transmissions. WPKI (Wireless Public Key Infrastructure) is a well known Method to deal with the security issues in wireless LAN. The authentication required by the method becomes a source of unrellability of the hand-off performance. This paper suggests a solution to overcome the instability while using the WPKI technique, Prior to getting into the next region, a station is provided with the keys of the surrounding regions so that the possible delay problem can be avoided during the actual hand-off time. Thereby the hand-off instability can be solved in the WPKI framework.

  • There are two reasons that the remote medical is newly embossed. One is the development of the info-communications technology that is possible to the remote diagnosis. Another is changing the thinking about the new medical services for the offerers and consumers. Therefore, we suggest the WPKI mobile-environmental remote diagnosis system. The system could apply more efficient connetion with the very fast developing diagnosis and medical treatment.

  • As the wireless communication technology developed, the Electric Commerce using a mobile was activated. WPKI was developed in order to guarantee the stability of the Electric Commerce but it is difficult to be ensured for the safe PKI service which is the same at the wire communication in the technical because of restriction of the mobile terminal. In this paper, we propose the authentication system for the electronic financial service which is safe and is effective in consideration of the restrictive characteristic of the mobile terminal. Moreover, the encryption algorithm for the safe electronic signature is proposed. In WPKI, this makes the cross certification of each certificate authority possible. Moreover, a stability was enhanced through the signature authentication using KCDSA and SEED algorithm.

  • Because the Internet diffusion has been increased, the service that used at the offline has been applied to the online, the saving time and portability has been emphasized, and the service has been increased from the wire to the wireless by the development of the mobile communication technology. There are a Pocket PC, Palm and so forth as devices that are used for it and the services are already used. However, because it is used at only limited operating systems like PCs have, there is the restriction to use for much more users. In order to allow various devices used by much more people the access services, the WPKI authentication should be implemented for devices using Linux OS.

  • In this paper we challenge the user Authentication using Kerberos V5 authentication protocol in WPKI environment. this paper is the security structure that defined in a WAP forum and security and watches all kinds of password related technology related to the existing authentication system. It looks up weakness point on security with a p개blem on the design that uses wireless public key-based structur and transmission hierarchical security back of a WAP forum, and a server-client holds for user authentication of an application level all and all, and it provides one counterproposal. Therefore, We offer authentication way solution that connected X.509 V3 with using WIM for complement an authentication protocol Kerberos V5 and its disadvantages.

  • A huge growth the wireless internet services, which are based on the wireless mobile network technology and internet technology, poses demand for the end-to-end secure connections. Restrictions of wireless mobile environment and mobile devices make difficult to adapt present secure protocols to wireless internet services. In this paper, we analyze existing certificate status verification methods in WPKI and propose a new method, adding a observer information in handshake protocol. The method with observer makes it more efficient for relying parties to verify both the current status of the X.509 certificate and the short-lived WTLS server certificate.

  • As wireless network was developed and Capability of Wireless Phone was increased, M-Commerce was activates In Wireless network environment. User Authentication and Security in E-Commerce Environment is very important, so Authentication Technology, such as WPKI and Hermes System, XML Digital Signature in Wire Network is studying. But if authentication systems was implemented heterogeneous, WPKI is difficult to implement the system, it's not interoperate with authentication system on wire internet, not support XML digital Signature. Hermes system also not interoperate with XML digital signature system. So our paper designed System that can interoperate among digital signature systems and XML document to apply XML digital signature technology on wire network to wireless network, and then implemented system that can XML digital signature to use Java Card.

  • As developed wireless internet and performance of wireless terminal, E-commerce of wire internet move to wireless internet. This I-commerce in wireless internet environment called M-Commerce, recognized user authentication and data security as very important technology such as E-commerce in environment of wire internet. So authentication technology such as WPKI and Hermes system and XML digital signature was studied. But WPKI is difficulty to implement system, if authentication system that consisted in WPKI environment was heterogeneous. And Hermes system is not interoperate to XML digital signature system. So, our paper suggested XML digital signature system based java card to interoperate among the digital signature system, to apply XML digital signature used in wire internet. Our system offer XML digital signature in wireless internet, can interoperate among the XML digital signature systems.
