  • The items currently used in museum service evaluations fail to offer satisfactory suggestions that could aid in the improvement of museum services. This study aims to identify and develop items that take into consideration the unique nature of art museum services. This study also identifies factors that determine visitor satisfaction and decisions to revisit with the end of offering methods to improve art museum service. The research conducted was based on an on-site survey of visitors of the Gwangju Art Museum. 223 questionnaires were collected, 211 of which were used in the data analysis. Factor analysis was applied to identify service factors to be considered at art museums. Regression analysis was then applied to estimate the influence of each factor in visitor satisfaction and revisit intention. This study first identifies five service quality factors of art museums: display method, employers, content, facilities, and supplemental programs. Results of the regression analysis showed that content is the most important factor in raising customer satisfaction and revisit intention. Supplemental programs were also significant in raising young and family customer satisfaction. The results also showed that various supplemental services such as education and experiential programs were necessary. Service facilities were also statistically significant factors in customer satisfaction and revisit intention. This study contributes in identifying five factors that could better measure art museum service quality. It also suggests a method to improve museum service quality based on the results of empirical investigations. This information could be of great help to art museum operators and other researchers.

  • In 1922, Hongneung forest was established to support the study of Korean forestry. Nowadays the forest also plays a role as urban forest which provides a green space for local people. This paper proposes the better management plan of Hongneung forest based on visitor monitoring. On-site surveys with a structured questionnaire were carried out from August to November in 2014 and total 750 data were analyzed. The survey results are as follows: 1) Visitors were inclusive of all age groups and most of them lived nearby Hongneung forest, 2) Visitors used the forest mainly for recreational purposes and recognized the forest as 'Green space' rather than 'experimental forest', 3) Visitors had great satisfaction from the forest visit and raised the necessity of more environment education and promotion of the program. Based on the results, the following solutions have been suggested: 1) Environment education will help visitors to raise awareness on the importance of Hongneung forest which plays a role as both experimental and urban forest, 2) Systematic visitor monitoring can contribute to efficient visitor management and administration of the areas. In conclusion, it is necessary to establish a visitor management system that enable to achieve a harmonization between nature conservation and recreational demands as well as to improve management of natural resource and service.

  • Exhibition industry is important business domains to many countries. Not only lots of countries designated the exhibition industry as tools to stimulate national economics, but also many companies offer millions of service or products to customers. Recommender systems can help visitors navigate through large information spaces of various booths. However, no study before has proposed a methodology for identifying and acquiring prospective visitors although it is important to acquire them. Accordingly, we propose a methodology for identifying, acquiring prospective visitors, and recommending the adequate booth information to their preferences in the exhibition industry. We assume that a visitor will be interested in an exhibition within same class of exhibition taxonomy as exhibition which the visitor already saw. Moreover, we use user-based collaborative filtering in order to recommend personalized booths before exhibition. A prototype recommender system is implemented to evaluate the proposed methodology. Our experiments show that the proposed methodology is better than the item-based CF and have an effect on the choice of exhibition or exhibit booth through automation of word-of-mouth communication.

The results of this study are as follows. First, all three sub-factors of regional festival service quality, such as confidence, empathy, and credibility, had a positive effect on participation behavior. Second, the result of the moderating effect of the influence of involvement on the quality of service and visitor participation behavior of local festivals is based on the individual moderating effects of service quality and visitor participation behavior. There was a moderating effect. Visitors should be aware of the program, which is faithful to the festival's original purpose, and provide visitors with information about the festival quickly and accurately to feel the efficacy of participating in the festival. • Under exhibition circumstances, exhibition advertising by organizer is a mean to promote exhibition service to exhibitors and visitors while general advertising is to promote products and services to consumers. The objective of this research is to suggest advertising strategies by seeing differences in the impact of information quality and media credibility on visitor intention depending on the types of exhibition. This study adopted Elaboration Likelihood Model to measure the impact of central and peripheral cues on advertising attitude and its consequence on visitor intention. We further examined how these influence processes were moderated by exhibition types of B2B and B2C. We conducted survey from B2B and B2C exhibitions respectively, and analyzed structural equation model and moderator regression. We found that first, among factors of information quality as a central cue, argument strength has a positive impact on attitude towards advertising. Second, we also found among factors of media credibility as a peripheral cue, media trustworthiness has a positive impact on attitude towards advertising. Lastly, this study revealed that a type of exhibition moderates the central and peripheral routes towards advertising attitude, showing that B2C visitors are influenced by factors of information quality, and B2B visitors rather by media credibility. This study yields implications in that it gives marketers of organizer a background to set different marketing strategies depending on the types of exhibition.

  • We implemented an application system which is able to verify visitor identification for remote bundle control based on OSGi and web camera control using embedded linux system. This system are designed open Oscar framework by porting java on the embedded linux system and implemented web camera system in local area networks. Also This system can verify information of visitor from receiving the data of RFID reader and designed the wireless internet system in home. Basically, in this paper we expect that home network system development and the period of application service development are reduced with integrated service provision based on OSGi.
