유연 회전축의 다물체 동역학 모델링 및 위상 조절법을 이용한 진동 제어 (Multi-Body Dynamic Modeling for a Flexible Rotor and Vibration Control using a Novel Phase Adjusting Technique)

  • This article proposes a new technique of the dynamic model using multi-body dynamic analysis tool for a flexible main spindle rotor system with a novel phase adjusting control technique for the purpose of an active control of rotor vibration. The dynamic model is used as a plant model. Also in order to make control system, a component parameters and phase controller is composed and simulated by SIMULINK. The vibration is reduced to 50%. Therefore the ADAMS dynamic model for the flexible main spindle rotor and the phase adjusting control techniques may be effective for the suppressing the vibration and helpful for the future active control for rotor vibration.

  • Recent years, optical components'are widely used in optical communication industry for high speed and mass storage data processing. Micro grooving of planar lightwave circuit and glass, those are widely used in optical component, are realized by polycrystalline diamond tool with ultrasonic vibration. To know the characteristics of brittle materials cutting, ultrasonic vibration cutting tool and machining system are built for the experiment. Grooving on planar lightwave circuit and glass experiments are performed and their shape are measured by photograph with microscope. It reveals that better groove shape with low chipping of planar lightwave circuit and glass are obtained by micro grooving machining with ultrasonic vibration. These experiments are considered as a possibility to the micro grooving of optical communication components.

박용디이젤기관의 크랭크축계 종진동특성에 관한 연구 (Characteristics of axial vibration of marine diesel engine crankshafts)

  • In former papers which were published already, authors had derived calculation formulae for the axial stiffness and the radial force conversion factor of crankshaft. In this paper, crankthrow axial stiffness and radial force conversion factors of actual engines are calculated by these theoretical formulae and then their characteristics are investigated. As the results, the axial stiffness and the radial force conversion factor of the latest super-long stroke engine are smaller than those of old-type engines. The influence of the former brings down the resonance speed of engine and the latter reduces the exciting force of axial vibration, but as the harmonic component of axial vibration force becomes rather strong, its effect of reducing is considerably canceled. In conclusion, as the latest super-long stroke engine is seemed to be liable to axial vibration of crankshafat, it is recommend that, in the design stage of propulsion shaft, its axial vibration condition must be more carefully checked.

  • The damage identification in a flexible system requires modal informations which is represented by FRF(Frequency response function) or modal parameters. In this paper, energy isoclines are introduced to access the prediction of fatigue damage on a flexible component exposed mainly to the exciting source rather than external forces. After deriving the concerned function, energy isoclines, from the investigation of the relationship between energy and damage, its practical application is explained by the simple uni-axial excitation test for the notched round bar.

  • In this paper, an experimental study is carried out to analyze the vibration characteristics of components of the ballast track and the slab track layed in HSL tunnels. According to vibration level test of ballast tracks and concrete tracks on HSL, the vertical vibration level of rails on concrete tracks is 6.2dB more than that on ballast tracks, and especially on $50{\sim}80Hz$ frequency band, the difference is more than 6dB. The orther track components according to track type are appeared to be smaller on the slab track than on the ballast track. Regarding car body vibration, 80Hz component, which was not remarkable while running on open tracks, is considerably amplified in tunnels where concrete tracks are laid.

  • This paper is concerned with the forced flexural vibration analysis of hard disk drive (HDD) spindle systems with multiple thin disks, supported by two ball bearings based on the finite element model. This is the extension of the previous work which analytically modeled every system component taking into account its structural flexibility and also the centrifugal stiffening effect especially for the disks. Among the end results, the forced time response is expectedly useful for the vibration control of the spindle itself or the position servo control of the magnetic head. On the other hand, the steady state responses such as the frequency response function and the unbalance response are useful for system identification. Futhermore, through a coordinate transformation the equations of motion is also derived with respect to the inertial frame for convenient analyses of certain classes.

차량탑재용 A/Y 시스템의 소음원 규명 (Noise Source Identification of a Car A/V System)

  • This paper presents the noise source identification of a car A/V system. There are two different kinds of noise sources noise generated by loading mechanism and rattle noise by externally forced vibration. A dynamometer has been made to produce stationary inertia to the loading mechanism of A/V system. Sound pressure spectra and sound intensity were measured by operating the dynamometer setup as various motor speeds, and the results were analyzed. A dominant rattle noise source about A/V system's components has been found by multi-dimensional spectral analysis. Residual spectrum method was applied for eliminating coherence between the vibration sources. In result, the dominant rattle noise source was identified by partial coherent output spectrum of individual vibration component.

  • Two problems in the measurement of 6-DOF head vibration in very low frequency range were investigated in this study. One is how much error was involved in the estimation of three rotational and three translational motion at any specified point from measured 6 translational accelerations. The other is quantitative and qualitative influence of gravity on DC and AC component of the estimated accelerations in 6 degree of freedom, which were derived from pick-ups fixed on a helmet. In the study the effect of nonlinear terms on the estimation of 6 degree of freedom accelerations was negligible but gravity effect must be considered carefully.

  • In this paper, design sensitivity of vibration displacement and acceleration is computed and design sensitivity, the derivative information of responses with respect to design perameters, is used as a design guidance tool to reduce the vibration. First, the harmonic vibration analysis of deck and simplified ship structures is performed by finite element method and secondly continuum disign sensityivity for excessive dynamic response is computed by continuum method. Both the direct and modal frequency response methods for the finite element analysis are adopted. Sensitivities of structural components such as upper plate, side wall, bilge, bottom plate are compared and the reductionof vibration is obtained by the proper increase of thickness of each component.

  • This work investigated the electromechanical performance of a cantilevered vibration energy harvester incorporating the single crystal PMN-PZT, manufactured with the most recent technology of solid-state single crystal growth. The performances of single crystal PMN-PZTs with two different crystallographic axes such as [011] and [001] are compared with those of PZT ceramics. From the investigations, it is shown that the [001]-poled PMN-PZT is advantageous for the excitations containing single dominant frequency component, while the single crystal [011]-$d_{32}$ is superior in terms of the energy storage density and energy conversion efficiency.
