  • Reliability means that a product maintains its initial quality and performance at certain period of time(time, distance, cycle etc) under given condition without failure. Given conditions include both environmental condition and operating condition. Environmental condition means common natural environment such as temperature, humidity, vibration, and working condition means artificial environment such as voltage, current load, install place, hours of use, which occurs during using the product. In the field of railway vehicles, although components of railway vehicles with reliability are the trend of mandatory as persisting period of railway vehicles is extended, using components of railway vehicles is insufficient for the practical reliability assessment. but the meaning of the first railway operating agency to acquire the parts in the field, the data suggest the reliability of products if you can and can show the reliability of modular units and modular units can provide the reliability of if you can present reliability of the entire system is thought to be here In this study, lifespan of micro-switch for master controller is analyzed and prediction is performed based on its field data considering the special circumstances of railway vehicles operating agency, such as a large number of trains operates on the same line.

구조해석을 이용한 수소 연료전지 자동차 압력용기 밸브의 안전성 평가 (Safety Evaluation Based on Structural Analysis of Cylinder Valves for Fuel Cell Vehicles)

  • Green vehicles include electric vehicles, natural gas vehicles, and fuel cell vehicles (FCVs). In FCVs, pressure vessels have cylinder valves to control hydrogen flow. These valves should be of high quality in terms of safety because hydrogen is stored at ultra-high pressure in pressure vessels. Hence, safety evaluation of these valves is necessary to secure the safety of the FCV. A structural analysis of the cylinder valve was conducted in this study by using a commercial finite element analysis code. The results showed that the safety factor of valve component ranged 1.06-186.44. After categorizing, the stress components at critical points of the cylinder valve parts were evaluated using the corresponding allowable design criteria in the ASME code. The pressurization cycle test was performed as per the regulation to evaluate the safety of the valve.

  • Although the development of electric vehicles or electric commercial vehicles is underway in Korea, most companies are seeking to enter the global market because it is difficult to expand their business only in the domestic market. In addition, it is recognized that the country has difficulties in responding to regulations or related procedures when entering overseas markets, and due to such difficulties, it is not possible to gain opportunities to enter the market and gain the technical advantage. Therefore, it is necessary to support individual companies to overcome the difficulties of promoting and exporting products by establishing a pre-cycle support environment for technology development so that development parts can be installed in small electric commercial vehicles. Therefore, this study tried to understand the necessity and factors of small electric commercial vehicles for major ASEAN countries, and as a result, most of them raised the urgency and necessity of joint research.In addition, human resource development, government support, and technical support were suggested as the necessary factors for the study.

  • 우리나라는 2000년 이후 EU의 지구온난화에 따른 환경 규제 강화, 고유가 추세 그리고 농촌 인구분포의 고령화 등에 따라 친환경에너지를 기반으로 하는 농촌 소상공인을 위한 다목적 전기차에 대한 니즈 강화가 시장의 큰 흐름이 되고 있다. 농촌 소상공인을 위한 다목적 전기차는 적은 비용으로 유지가 가능하고 친환경 에너지의 활성화를 통한 온실 가스를 감축할 뿐 아니라 고령화 되어가고 있는 농업 종사자의 노동 강도를 줄이고 야간작업 및 물류 운반을 위하여 매우 혁신적인 운송수단이 될 것이다. 본 논문에서는 친환경 에너지 정책 시행과 함께 영세 규모의 농촌 소상공인들이 비포장도로와 웅덩이가 많은 농로환경에서 쉽게 운행할 수 있고, 농작물 운반 시 노동 강도를 줄일 수 있으며, 사고 시에도 저렴한 비용으로 간단하게 부품을 교체할 수 있는 농촌 다목적 모듈형 전기차를 제안하기 위하여 기존 문헌들을 고찰하고 국내외 전기차를 벤치마킹하여 12개의 모듈형 부품을 제시한다. 본 논문은 모듈형 전기차의 산업계는 물론 디자인계의 연구에 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

  • This paper aims to ensure describe the a spring-back prevention technique for improving shape fixability by using an ultra-high strength steel sheet with 980 MPa to develop a lightweight seat rail parts. Ultra-high strength steel gives a potential for considerable weight reduction and a cost-effective way to produce energy efficient vehicles. The influence of a spring-back of seat rail parts on the shape fixability in forming processes was investigated to be solved by an adjustment of the appropriate tool design and process parameters. The computed results for improving shape fixability were in good agreement with the experimental results.

  • This study evaluates the strength of surface treatment parts using the hard anodizing method to the aluminum alloy brake disks. In order to achieve weight reduction of vehicles, Eco-friendly cars parts of the high-quality and competitive price is to equip. Especially while pursuing parts of weight reduction, it has to maintain the strength of the surface of the brake by nature. To enhance surface strength of aluminum alloy, we use hard anodizing technology in the surface treatment. This study is resulted of 3 times greater the hardness value of the hard anodized specimen than the aluminum alloy specimen for the lightweight parts of EV brake disk

사각 형상 플랜지 형성을 위한 액압성형시 공정 조건에 따른 성형특성 (Effect of Process Parameters on Hydroforming Characteristics of a Rectangular Shape Flange)

  • Hydroforming has attracted the attention of manufacturing industries for vehicles and transportation systems. A wide range of products such as subframes, camshafts, radiator frames, axles and crankshafts are made by the hydroforming process. Hydroformed parts often need to be structurally joined to other components during assembly. Therefore it is useful if the hydroformed automotive parts can be attached with a localized flange. In this study, a hydroforming process to produce a rectangular shape flange is proposed. FE analysis to form the flanged rectangular shape was performed by Dynaform 5.5. The hydroforming characteristics at various die aspect ratios and feeding conditions were analyzed and optimal process conditions which can avoid defects are suggested. For validation purposes, hydroforming experiments to form the flange were conducted with the optimized conditions. The results show that the flanged parts can be successfully formed with a hydroforming process without additional processing steps.

그림자 정보를 이용한 HSV 컬러 모델 기반의 전방 차량 검출 및 차선 정보 검출 (HSV Color Model Based Front Vehicle Extraction and Lane Detection using Shadow Information)

  • 차량이 증가함에 따라 전방의 상황을 운전자에게 알려주기 위한 운전자 도움 시스템(Advanced Drivers Assistance System)과 같은 체계가 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 전방의 상황을 운전자에게 알려 주기 위한 기본과정으로 연속된 컬러 영상으로부터 영상처리만을 이용하여 전방의 차량과 차선을 검출하는 방법을 제안한다. 도로 전방의 상황은 차량이 많다고 하더라도 도로의 영역이 많은 부분을 차지하고 있으며, 차량이 있는 경우에 차량의 하단에 그림자와 같이 어두운 영역이 존재하는 점을 이용하여 전방의 차량을 검출한다. 그리고 차선은 그림자 영역의 반대 특징으로 횐색계열이라는 점을 이용하여 차선 정보를 추출한다. 이 방법은 도로가 혼잡하거나 도로상에 방향 표시가 있는 경우에도 좋은 결과를 보인다. 차량과 차선을 검출하는데는 HSV 컬러 모델에서 태도 성분과 명도 성분을 이용하여 후보점을 검출하고, 차량과 타선의 영역을 검출하며 에지 정보를 이용하여 차량의 영역을 결정한다. 그리고 검출된 차량 영역이 이전 프레임의 차량 영역과 같은 차량인지 알기 위해서는 HSV 성분과 위치 정보의 통계적 특징을 이용한다. 제안된 방식의 효과를 검증하기 위해 노트북 PC와 PC용 CCD 카메라로 도로에서의 영상을 촬영하고 차량 및 차선 검출 알고리즘을 적용한 처리 시간, 정확도 및 차량검지 결과를 보인다.

  • This paper presents a lane-change collision avoidance control algorithm for autonomous vehicles that will be used in AHS(Automated Highway System). In the proposed control algorithm, nominal control inputs are generated by solving the inverse vehicle dynamic equations of motion for a lane-change maneuver. In addition, a corrective steering input from preview as well as DYC (Direct Yaw Moment Control) may be included to reduce unpredictable errors and to insure yaw directional stability, respectively. The performance of the algorithm is evaluated with an ABS HILS system which consist of 17 DOF vehicle model and real ABS hardware parts. The HILS simulation results show that the proposed algorithm may be used for emergency lane-change maneuvers for autonomous vehicles.

A Research on Stray-Current Corrosion Mechanism of High Voltage Cable Connector on Electrification Vehicles

  • Considering the tendency of development of electrification vehicles, development and verification of new evaluation technology is needed because of new technology applications. Recently, as the battery package is set outdoors of an electric vehicle, such vehicles are exposed to corrosive environments. Among major components connected to the battery package, rust prevention of high-voltage cables and connectors is considered the most important issue. For example, if corrosion of high voltage cable connectors occurs, the corrosion durability assessment of using an electric vehicle will be different from general environmental corrosion phenomena. The purpose of this study is to investigate the corrosion mechanism of high voltage cable connectors of an electric vehicle under various driving environments (road surface vibration, corrosion environment, current conduction by stray current, etc.) and develop an optimal rust prevention solution. To improve our parts test method, we have proposed a realistic test method to reproduce actual electric vehicle corrosion issues based on the principle test.
