  • An iterative algorithm is provided to find a common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping and the set of solutions of some variational inequality in a Hilbert space. Using this result, we consider a strong convergence result for finding a common fixed point of a nonexpansive mapping and a strictly pseudocontractive mapping. Our results include the previous results as special cases and can be viewed as an improvement and refinement of the previously known results.

  • Let X be a real reflexive Banach space with a uniformly $G\hat{a}teaux$ differentiable norm, C a nonempty closed convex subset of X, T : C $\rightarrow$ X a continuous pseudocontractive mapping, and A : C $\rightarrow$ C a continuous strongly pseudocontractive mapping. We show the existence of a path ${x_t}$ satisfying $x_t=tAx_t+(1- t)Tx_t$, t $\in$ (0,1) and prove that ${x_t}$ converges strongly to a fixed point of T, which solves the variational inequality involving the mapping A. As an application, we give strong convergence of the path ${x_t}$ defined by $x_t=tAx_t+(1-t)(2I-T)x_t$ to a fixed point of firmly pseudocontractive mapping T.

  • The purpose of this research is to formulate a new proximal-type algorithm to solve the equilibrium problem in a real Hilbert space. A new algorithm is analogous to the famous two-step extragradient algorithm that was used to solve variational inequalities in the Hilbert spaces previously. The proposed iterative scheme uses a new step size rule based on local bifunction details instead of Lipschitz constants or any line search scheme. The strong convergence theorem for the proposed algorithm is well-proven by letting mild assumptions about the bifunction. Applications of these results are presented to solve the fixed point problems and the variational inequality problems. Finally, we discuss two test problems and computational performance is explicating to show the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

  • In this works, we consider a class of regularized equilibrium problems in Banach spaces. By using the auxiliary principle techniques to suggest some iterative schemes for regularized equilibrium problems and proved the convergence of these iterative methods required either pseudoaccretivity or partially relaxed strongly accretivity.

  • We consider a mathematical model which describes the quasistatic frictional contact between a piezoelectric body and an electrically conductive obstacle, the so-called foundation. A nonlinear electro-viscoelastic constitutive law is used to model the piezoelectric material. Contact is described with Signorini's conditions and a version of Coulomb's law of dry friction in which the adhesion of contact surfaces is taken into account. The evolution of the bonding field is described by a first order differential equation. We derive a variational formulation for the model, in the form of a system for the displacements, the electric potential and the adhesion. Under a smallness assumption which involves only the electrical data of the problem, we prove the existence of a unique weak solution of the model. The proof is based on arguments of time-dependent quasi-variational inequalities, differential equations and Banach's fixed point theorem.

  • Recently, Kazmi and Khan [7] introduced a kind of equilibrium problem called generalized system (GS) with a single-valued bi-operator F. Next, in [10], the first author considered a generalization of (GS) into a multi-valued circumstance called the multi-valued quasi-generalized system (in short, MQGS). In the current work, we provide an extension of (MQGS) into a system of (MQGS) in general settings. This system is called the generalized multi-valued quasi-generalized system (in short, GMQGS). Using the existence theorem for abstract economy by Kim [8], we prove the existence of solutions for (GMQGS) in the framework of Hausdorff topological vector spaces. As an application, an existence result of a system of generalized vector quasi-variational inequalities is derived.

  • In this paper, we consider a common solution of three problems in real Hilbert spaces: the Ky Fan inequality problem, the variational inequality problem and the fixed point problem for demicontractive single-valued and quasi-nonexpansive multi-valued mappings. To find the solution we present a new iterative algorithm and prove a strong convergence theorem under mild conditions. Moreover, we provide a numerical example to illustrate the convergence behavior of the proposed iterative method.

  • We show the existence of at least one nontrivial solution of the homogeneous mixed type nonlinear elliptic problem. Here mixed type nonlinearity means that the nonlinear part contain the jumping nonlinearity and the critical growth nonlinearity. We first investigate the sub-level sets of the corresponding functional in the Soboles space and the linking inequalities of the functional on the sub-level sets. We next investigate that the functional I satisfies the mountain pass geometry in the critical point theory. We obtain the result by the mountain pass method, the critical point theory and variational method.

  • We propose a mathematical model which describes the frictional contact between a piezoelectric body and an electrically conductive foundation. The behavior of the material is described with a linearly electro-viscoelastic constitutive law with long term memory. The mechanical process is dynamic and the electrical conductivity coefficient depends on the total slip rate, the friction is modeled with Tresca's law which the friction bound depends on the total slip rate with taking into account the electrical conductivity of the foundation both. The main results of this paper concern the existence and uniqueness of the weak solution of the model; the proof is based on results for second order evolution variational inequalities with a time-dependent hemivariational inequality in Banach spaces.

  • Let X and Y be two normed spaces and D a nonempty convex subset of X. Let $T : X \ to L(X,Y)$ be a mapping, where L(X,Y) is the space of all continuous linear mappings from X into Y. And let $C : D \to 2^Y$ be a set-valued map such that for each $x \in D$, C(x) is a convex cone in Y such that Int $C(x) \neq 0 and C(x) \neq Y$, where Int denotes the interior.
