Error Performance of UWB-MIMO system according to channel detection methods (UWB-MIMO 시스템에서 채널 검파 방식에 따른 성능 비교분석)

  • In this paper, binary pulse-position modulation (2PPM) time-hoping (TH) ultra-wideband (UWB) system is applied to multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system using vertical bell lab layered space-time (V-BLAST) structure to achieve high-data-rate communications. This UWB-MIMO system and its receivers are analyzed, and its BER performances are evaluated. In the receiver, various MIMO detection algorithms such as zero-forcing (ZF), ZF-ordered successive interference cancellation (OSIC), minimum-mean-square-error (MMSE), MMSE-OSIC and maximum likelihood (ML) are comparatively studied.

  • 최근 차량통신 환경에서의 위성/지상파 DMB 등 차량통신에 대한 관심이 증대되고, 전 세계적으로 기술개발이 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 그러나 좁고 긴 도로 내에 차량이 수시로 들락거려 일정한 통신 구심점을 찾는 것이 쉽지 않고, 빠르게 이동하는 차량의 특성으로 채널 특성이 좋지않 으며, 차량통신을 위한 인프라가 충분히 설치되지 않을 경우 V2I 통신의 어려움 등이 문제점으로 지적될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 차량통신 네트워크의 효율적 운용을 위한 적응적 클러스터링(Clustering) 기법을 제안하도록 한다. 제안된 적응적 클러스터링 방법에서는 차량의 속도, 위치, 차량 간 거리에 의하여 수시로 클러스터가 적응적으로 재구성된다. 이를 위해 효율적인 클러스터해드 설정이 이루어지며, 차량통신 인프라, 클러스터해드를 중심으로 통신이 이루어진다. 제안된 기법은 제한된 인프라에서도 이중 홉 통신 및 적응적 클러스터 재구성을 통하여 차량의 네트워크 연결성을 높인다. 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통하여 적응적 클러스터링 방법의 성능을 알아보도록 한다. 모의실험을 통하여 빠른 속도로 움직이는 차량의 네트워크 접근성을 확인하고, 차량 밀도 및 인프라 간 거리에 따른 성능변화를 확인한다.

  • We study the paper Zhernovyi and Zhernovyi [Zhernovyi, K.Y. and Y.V. Zhernovyi, "An $M^{\Theta}/G/1/m$ system with two-threshold hysteresis strategy of service intensity switching," Journal of Communications and Electronics, Vol.12, No.2(2012), pp.127-140]. In the paper, authors used the Korolyuk potential method to obtain the stationary queue length distribution. Instead, our note makes an attempt to apply the most frequently used methods : the embedded Markov chain and the supplementary variable method. We derive the queue length distribution at a customer's departure epoch and then at an arbitrary epoch.

  • Let F be a non-trivial non-Archimedian field. The sequence spaces $\Gamma\;(F)\;and\;{\Gamma}^{\ast}(F)$ were defined and studied by Soma-sundaram[4], where these spaces denote the spaces of entire and analytic sequences defined over F, respectively. In 1997, these spaces were generalized by Mursaleen and Qamaruddin[1] by considering an arbitrary sequence $U\;=\;(U_k),\;U_k\;{\neq}\;0 \;(\;k\;=\;1,2,3,{\cdots})$. They characterized some classes of infinite matrices considering these new classes of sequences. In this paper, we further generalize the above mentioned spaces and define the spaces $\Gamma(u,\;F,\;{\Delta}),\;{\Gamma}^{\ast}(u,\;F,\;{\Delta}),\;l_p(u,\;F,\;{\Delta})$), and $b_v(u,\;F,\;{\Delta}$). We also study some matrix transformations on these new spaces.

  • 차량사물통신은 차량이 다양한 대상과 유무선 망을 이용해 정보를 주고 받는 기술을 의미한다. 차량사물통신을 이용하면 실시간으로 변화하는 교통 상황에 대해 개별 차량의 안정성을 크게 향상시킬 수 있다. 차량사물통신을 실현하기 위해서는 고도화 된 통신 기술들이 집약적으로 활용되어야 하며, 이러한 차량사물통신은 차세대 통신 시스템에서 각광받는 주요 기술이다. 본고는 차량사물통신을 위한 통신 기술 중 특별히 5G 통신에 관련된 세부 기술들을 소개한다. 먼저 차량사물통신을 위한 무선 통신에서 요구되는 기술적인 어려움에 대해 논의하고, 이를 바탕으로 차량사물통신에 대한 5G 통신 기술의 필요성에 관해 논의한다. 다음으로 차량사물통신을 위한 5G 통신의 세부기술들을 소개하고, 각 기술에 대한 기술적인 과제와 적용 시나리오에 대해 알아본다.

A Study on the Control of Characteristic in the Analog Active Element for System Stabilization (시스템 안정화를 위한 아날로그 능동 소자의 특성 제어에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, a current comparative frequency automatic tuning circuit for the CMOS bandpass filter are designed with the new architecture. And also, when the designed circuit is compared the typical tuning circuit, it has very simple architecture that is composed of the current comparator and charge pump and operated in 2V power supply. The proposed tuning circuit automatically compensate the difference between the operating current of the integrator and the reference current which is specified. Using CMOS 0.25um parameter, a CMOS bandpass active filter with center frequency(f0= 100MHz) is designed, and according to the transister size the variation of the center frequency is simulated. As the HSPIC simulation results, the tuning operating of the proposed current comparative frequency automatic tuning circuit is verified.

  • Most A/D converters which encode baseband signals of several magahertz band width to accuracies such as 8 bits are complez and therefore expensive. This letter suggests that a simple fast digital encoder can be formed the combination of V.C.O. and digital discriminator, automatically elimnating the complex logic process of conventional fast baseband A/D converters. The techique is suitable for encoding video signals to 8bits.

  • ISO/IEC 15118 is a standard for communications and services for electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Although this standard deals only with data communication between an electric vehicle and a charge station, communication with the outside is essential for establishing an authentication system for vehicle certification and V2G service for electric power transmission. In this study, it was designed to verify the information of electric car charging infrastructure in electric power system through communication link between ISO/IEC 15118 electric vehicle model and IEC 61850 standard MMS protocol. This is demonstrated in the field so that the electric vehicle communication data is linked with the micro grid management system. This could be used as an element technology in other distributed power sources as well as electric cars in the future.

  • The theoretical performance of MMSE linear microdiversity combining in Rayleigh fading, additive interference channels has already been derived exactly in the literature. In the macrodiversity case the fundamental difference is that any given source may well have different average received powers at the different antennas. This makes an exact analysis more difficult and hence for the macrodiversity case we derive a bound on the mean BER and a semi-analytic upper bound on outage probabilities. Hence we provide bounds on the performance of MMSE linear microdiversity combining in Rayleigh fading with additive noise and any number of interferers with arbitrary powers.

A Single-Chip CMOS Digitally Synthesized 0-35 MHz Agile Function Generator

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a single-chip digitally synthesized 0-35MHz agile function generator. The chip comprises an integrated direct digital synthesizer (DDS) with a 10-bit on- chip digital-to-analog converter (DAC) using an n-well single-poly triple-metal 0.5-$\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS technology. The main features of the chip include maximum clock frequency of 100 MHz at 3.3-V supply voltage, 32-bit frequency tuning word resolution, 12-bit phase tuning word resolution, and an on-chip 10-bit DAC. The chip provides sinusoidal, ramp, saw-tooth, and random waveforms with phase and frequency modulation, and power-down function. At 100-MHz clock frequency, the chip covers a bandwidth from dc to 35 MHz in 0.0233-Hz frequency steps with 190-ns frequency switching speed. The complete chip occupies 12-mm$^2$die area and dissipates 0.4 W at 100-MHz clock frequency.
