A Study on the Impact of Security Risk on the Usage of Knowledge Management System : Focus on Parameter of Trust (보안위험 수준이 지식관리시스템의 성공에 미치는 영향 : '신뢰'를 매개변인으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the user's perception of security risk and examine its impact on the usage of Knowledge Management Systems(KMS). The findings of this study are three-fold. First, the overall user's perception of security risk is not high. However, there is a considerably big difference in the perception of security risk among users. This finding means that user's perception of a security risk is not based on the actual security effects but one's individual perception. Another finding is that user's perception of a security risk has a negative impact on the usage of KMS through "trust", which is a mediating variable in our study. This finding corresponds with the existing theory that security risk is oneof the critical sources of trust, and trust is a critical factor of user's acceptance of KMS. Finally, the result of this study reveals that activities devoted to security do not decrease the effectiveness and productivity of KMS. Our long-held cognition that security activity hinders the effectiveness and productivity of an information system is not particularly applied to the KMS.

The Impact of SNS Advertising Attribute on Advertising Likeability and Purchase Intention: A Comparison of Difference According to Use Motive and Use Intensity of SNS (SNS 광고속성이 광고호감도와 구매의도에 미치는 영향: SNS 이용동기 및 이용강도에 따른 차이 비교)

  • This study investigated experimentally how factors of SNS advertising attribute impact on advertising likeability and purchase intention according to use motive and use intensity of SNS. Firstly showing difference according to use motive of SNS, in user of motive to managing human relation, reliability of advertising contents has effect the largest and entertainment of advertising interest has effect also as important factor. In user of motive to sharing interest information, irritation of advertising on using SNS has effect the largest negatively and information of advertising's information offering capability has effect larger as positive factor. Next showing difference according to use intensity of SNS, in user of high intensity, reliability and information of advertising contents has effect larger than other factors. In user of low intensity, irritation of advertising has effect the largest negatively and other factors have effect very small. This results can provide a practical contribution that explains important factors in producing effective SNS advertising according to using behavior characteristics of SNS.

Understanding Users' Continuing Use of Hedonic Information Systems (쾌락적 정보시스템의 지속적 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting users' continuing use of Hedonic Information Systems(HIS). Focusing on users' post-adoption behaviors, this study proposes a research model which incorporates technology acceptance theory into expectation disconfirmation theory and investigates the causal relationship among five factors; perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, disconfirmation, user satisfaction, and continuance intention to use a blog as HIS. The results show that satisfaction is significantly influenced by disconfirmation and post expectations(perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use), and in particular the impact of disconfirmation on user satisfaction is stronger than those of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. The results also indicate that while perceived usefulness and user satisfaction have significant impacts on continuance intention, perceived ease of use does not do so and has only an indirect impact on continuance intention through perceived usefulness and user satisfaction.

  • The research empirically analyzes the impact of technological regime of game engine upon game development performance. The results indicate that, first, technological regime of game engine determines game's genre distribution. Secondly, user friendly game engine regime(modular, generic and integrated API engine) induces higher genre diversity and lower genre concentration ratios. Thirdly, user friendly game engine regime(modular, generic and integrated API engine) is becoming more applied recently. Fourthly, innovation types and price types of game engine do not influence upon game engine trades. Those results point out that game engine's technological regime influences directly game development application and user friendly regime is increasingly more standardized.

  • In this study, User intention also factors that Consulting application and Subjective norm, Task media fit factors also impact on User intention was examined. In this process, especially Subjective norm and Task media fit of SNS in each dimension to User intention about the impact of Consulting application was in each carried out to examine the mediating effect. The test result used in this study the Subjective norm, Task media fit and Consulting application in a significant positive(+) User intention also was effective. And verifying the results of the mediating effect of Consulting application, Subjective norm and Task media fit has proven to be effective in all parameters. The results of such individuals or companies with Consulting application of SNS. SNS Subjective norm and Task media fit are aware of the factors influencing the Strategy envisions an appropriate response, such as to provide Suggestions.

An Exploratory Study on CCR-based Smart Healthcare Services (CCR 기반 스마트 헬스케어 서비스에 대한 탐색적연구)

  • This study is an exploratory research on smart healthcare services, specifically focusing on a multi-channel CCR based healthcare service system. The study examines the overview and operational principles of the service system, highlighting the significance of user communication and its role in the system's functionality. Furthermore, the study investigates the impact of service quality on user satisfaction and intention to continue using the service. To achieve this, a structural equation modeling(SEM) analysis was conducted with a sample of 188 users who owned and utilized healthcare devices and apps. The results indicate that service quality dimensions (reliability, responsiveness, empathy, assurance, and tangibility) all had a positive influence on user satisfaction. Additionally, user satisfaction was found to have a significant impact on intention to continue using the service. The findings of this study contribute to exploring the effectiveness and potential value of CCR-based smart healthcare services. It was also provided insights for the future development of smart healthcare systems that offer accurate health information and personalized services for individual health management and prevention.

  • So far, the behaviors of Web users have been predicted or analyzed mostly by their demographic characteristics or by considering in which context they gain access to that. But now there is a question about whether those characteristics are the only factors to trigger their use of Web. If the answer is not affirmative, what types of additional factors could cause such an action and how they characterize it should be discussed. User profile information has been considered one of the crucial elements to define user characteristics in user-centered UI design sector, and in order to apply it to UI design, it's needed to meditate on the above-mentioned questions. In this study, it's first attempted to have a good understanding of the users of different media and to review existing user classification methods. Next, user classification variables and relevant scales were prepared to sort out users according to their type of using Web, and case study was conducted to identify the behavioral characteristics of users and classify them according to their behavioral features. Finally, the user profile features of individual user groups were figured out based on data that were gathered by making an experiment, and data mapping was fulfilled between the behavioral characteristics and user profile characteristics to find out what types of behaviors were caused by the characteristics of user profile. As a result, it's found that user characteristics could have an impact on not only their general information and relevant contexts but their attitude of using different media and personality type. There were some problems with the experimental design, but more accurate information on the relationship of user behaviors to user profile characteristics will be obtained if those problems are eliminated. As user behaviors could be predicted only by user profile characteristics, user classification is expected to make a contribution to enhancing the efficiency of UI design.

Impacts of Low User and Project Management Risk on IT Project of Public Sector: The Moderating Effect of User Knowledge (사용자 및 프로젝트 관리 위험 감소가 공공부문 IT 프로젝트 성과에 미치는 영향 : 사용자 지식의 조절효과)

  • We tried to do research on main views(risk and knowledge-based) and propose user knowledge as a factor to be managed in order to strengthen the performance. This study empirically analyzed the user-related and project management risk that affect the IT project performance, and verified user knowledge as a moderating variable. The survey was conducted for respondents who have experience on IT Project of public sector and data were analyzed by Smart PLS 3.0. The results show that low user-related and project management risks have a positive effect on performance. In addition, user knowledge has been shown to enhance the impact of two risks on performance. These findings are meaningful in that they emphasize the importance of user knowledge in public-sector IT projects, as well as the repeated verification of integrated research results.

Connectivity Analysis of Cognitive Radio Ad-hoc Networks with Shadow Fading

  • In this paper, we analyze the connectivity of cognitive radio ad-hoc networks in a log-normal shadow fading environment. Considering secondary user and primary user's locations and primary user's active state are randomly distributed according to a homogeneous Poisson process and taking into account the spectrum sensing efficiency of secondary user, we derive mathematical models to investigate the connectivity of cognitive radio ad-hoc networks in three aspects and compare with the connectivity of ad-hoc networks. First, from the viewpoint of a secondary user, we study the communication probability of that secondary user. Second, we examine the possibility that two secondary users can establish a direct communication link between them. Finally, we extend to the case of finding the probability that two arbitrary secondary users can communicate via multi-hop path. We verify the correctness of our analytical approach by comparing with simulations. The numerical results show that in cognitive radio ad-hoc networks, high fading variance helps to remarkably improve connectivity behavior in the same condition of secondary user's density and primary user's average active rate. Furthermore, the impact of shadowing on wireless connection probability dominates that of primary user's average active rate. Finally, the spectrum sensing efficiency of secondary user significantly impacts the connectivity features. The analysis in this paper provides an efficient way for system designers to characterize and optimize the connectivity of cognitive radio ad-hoc networks in practical wireless environment.

  • Elderly women have a high risk of falling down in their daily lives. The purpose of this study is to develop protective pants for elderly women, which will mitigate the impact of falls, and play a major role in reducing injuries. The two types of design were proposed for development of protective pants by selecting pad insertion point and inserting lining for keeping pad in place through the checklist to investigate from the interviews with the medical workers and the investigation of the user requirement. Design A has protective pads in the hip, hip joint, and knee, while design B has protective pads in the hip and hip joint area. For the impact absorbing material, CR (chloroprene rubber) foam was selected for its flexibility, lightness, and impact absorbing capacity, and its pad shapes were designed to produce much flexibility in consideration of the activity and human body fitness of the wearers. Three kinds of pad types, which are the cut type, the porous type, and the honeycomb type, were proposed, and were manufactured to fit into the protective parts according to their design types.
