스마트폰 증후군 예방을 위한 애플리케이션 개발 (Development of Application for Preventing Smart-phone Syndrome)

  • As smart phone became popular, its excessive uses cause adverse effects called smart-phone syndrome such as Turtle-neck syndrome in physical side and smart-phone addiction in mental aspects. Turtle-neck syndrome incurred by incorrect posture when you watch smart-phone, which causes a serious health problems. However, these syndromes can be detected by gyro-sensor and timer, and prevented by correcting the posture and halting the function with smart-phone application (App). Thus, this paper proposes App that helps user to realize bad posture and addiction to smart-phone, and to acquire the correct habit by inducing user to stretch neck or to stop operation with warning message. If we tried to adjust bad posture and addiction in using smart-phone through this application, the social losses from smart-phone syndrome would be minimized as a result.

  • Purpose Recently the usage of Mobile Instant Messenger(MIM) has been increased all over the world. With the development of Mobile Internet, a large amount of mobile application came into being, such as WeChat, the most popular MIM now in China. It has a huge number of registered users, but just only half of them are the "active users". This study intends to examine what factors affect MIM user's continuance intention and actual usage behavior. Design/Methodology/Approach Based on the framework of Perception/Emotion-Behavior and the extended ECM-ISC (Expectation Confirmation Model of IS Continuance), this research introduced some unique variables to a user satisfaction model focusing on perceived/emotional factors in WeChat. In this model, perceived/emotional factors have been divided into enabler factors and inhibitor factors to analyze the effect on continuance intention and actual usage behavior. Also, the moderate effect of the habits was discussed. An online questionnaire survey of 203 WeChat users was conducted and the empirical validation was employed to test the research model. Findings From the empirical results, perceived usefulness, expectation confirmation, and needs for affiliation significantly affected satisfaction. Also, satisfaction influenced continuance intention which led to actual usage behavior. We found that the habit moderates the relationship between satisfaction and continuance intention. The result of this study provides guidance to the developers and operators of WeChat on how to improve enhance users' satisfaction and loyalty.

사용자의 자세 습관 분석을 통한 자기 객관화가 바른 자세 실천에 미치는 영향: 근전도센서 및 웨어러블 기기를 통한 앱 서비스 제안 (The effect of self-objectification through the user's postural habit analysis on the practice of correct posture: App service proposal through EMG sensors and wearable devices)

  • 본 연구는 잘못된 자세 습관으로 인해 발생하는 근골격계 질환의 통증을 관리하기 위해 스스로 일상에서 바른 자세를 유지할 수 있도록 돕는 서비스 디자인 콘텐츠를 제안하고 있다. 현대인의 대표적 질환인 근골격계 질환과 바른 자세 실천에 대한 현황을 분석하기 위해 143명에 대한 설문 및 1차-2차 고정카메라 기법을 활용하였다. 연구결과 바른 자세 실천을 저해하는 저항 요인과 바른 자세 실천을 강화하는 유도 요인을 도출하였으며 저항 요인을 감소시키고 유도 요인을 증가시키는 것이 바른 자세 실천에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것을 검증하였다. 이를 바탕으로 근전도 센서와 웨어러블 기기를 활용하여 현대인들이 바른 자세를 실천 및 관리하는 데 유의미한 앱 서비스를 제안하였다. 본 연구는 사용자의 자세 습관 분석을 통한 자기 객관화 바탕으로 서비스 콘텐츠 제안을 통해 일상에서 스스로 바른 자세를 실천 및 유지할 수 있도록 도와줌으로써 근골격계 통증을 완화시키고 나아가 삶의 질을 개선시키는데 그 의의가 있다.

중년기의 비타민ㆍ무기질 보충제 사용량과 건강관련 생활습관 조사 (Supplement Dose and Health-Related Life Style of Vitamin-Mineral Supplement User among Korean Middle-Aged)

  • We studied daily micronutrient intake from vitamin-mineral supplements, health-related life style, clinical case of diseases and food frequency of the Korean middle-aged (40-59 yr, n = 404) to compare the characteristics of non-user (n = 270) and user (n = 134) of vitamin-mineral supplements. Rate of supplement use of the middle-aged was 33.2% and there was significant difference in education level (p = 0.0084) and family income (p = 0.0476) of user and nonuser. Smoking habit (p = 0.0844) and drinking frequency (p = 0.0606) tended to be lower in a supplement user than a non-user. The medical history of a case was significantly higher in users (67.9%) than in non-users (44.4%) (p = 0.001), which suggests that medical history is one of the important motivations of supplement use. Supplement users had the medical history of digestive disease (34.1%), anemia (11.0%) and hypertension (9.9%) in order. Vitamin C was the most frequently supplemented nutrient (81.3%) among vitamin-mineral supplement, and the next orders were vitamins E (73.1%), B$_2$(68.7%) and B$_{6}$ (60.4%). Mean intakes of vitamin B$_1$, iron, selenium, vitamin E, and vitamin C from supplement was 4,260%, 4,030%, 1,660% and 1,330% of RDA, respectively. The supplement users tended to consume most food items including milk & milk products (p < 0.01), rice (p < 0.01), grains (p < 0.05) and cookies (p < 0.01) less frequently than non-users. Conclusively, nutrient intake of vitamin B$_1$, iron, selenium, vitamin E, and vitamin C from supplement was excessively high compared to RDA. We suggest that the toxic effect of excessive supplementation should he informed to supplement user and nutritional education should be focused on the optimal supplement dose.e.

전산화를 통한 한국인 식생활 개선 방안 연구-식생활평가 시스템- (Development and Application of Computerized Dietary Analysis System)

  • The purpose of this study is to computerize all the necessary information on the daily food value and nutritional status for individuals and groups. In this research, a FOCUS-16jXT (16 bit personal computer ) compatible with IBM-PCjXT was used, and the database files and programs were created by using the dBASEIII package. The food life evaluation system consists of 3 subsystems of Reference, Nutrition Status Assessment and Food Source. The findings are summerized a8 follows: 1. Reference: This subsystem enables users to proceed to the next step, if necessary, by describing each subsystem. 2. Nutrition Status Assessment. 1) Food Habit Assessment: This subsystem determines whether the user has a good food habit or not, based on the answers for ten questions about daily food life. 2) Obesity Assessment: This subsystem calculates Broca index, which is used as a indicator of obesity. 3) Nutrient Intakes: When personal data such as age, sex, weight, height and food consumptions are input, it is possible to calculate the followings. i) Comparison between the amounts intaked and the recommended dietary daily allowances of various nutrients ii) Nutrient intakes from each food group and their composition rates for the nutrients iii) Nutrient intakes per unit body surface area iv) Composition of lipid intake 3. Food Sources: The appropriate food sources for the lacking nutrients will be recommended to the subjects.

한의임상정보은행 활용도 제고를 위한 교육용 데이터 개발 (Development of Korean Medicine Data Center(KDC) Teaching Dataset to Enhance Utilization of KDC)

  • Objective Korean medicine Data Center (KDC) has established large-scale biological and clinical data based on Korean medicine to demonstrate and validate its theory. The aim of this study was to develop KDC teaching dataset and user guideline to improve utilization of the KDC. Method KDC teaching dataset were selected using stratified random sampling according to the Sasang constitution (SC). This dataset included 72 variables of 500 sample subjects. The user guideline described how to conducted eight statistical analysis methods using the teaching dataset. Results The KDC teaching dataset was sampled from 200(40%) Taeeumin, 125(25%) Soeumin, and 175(35%) Soyanain. It was consisted of questionnaire (basic, habit, disease, symptom), physical exam (body measurement, blood pressure), blood exam, and expert' SC diagnosis. The usage guidelines provided instruction for users to perform several statistical analysis step by step with KDC teaching dataset. Conclusion We hope that our results will contribute to enhancing KDC utilization and understanding.

스마트폰 환경에서 기사 읽기 습관 고려한 뉴스 추천 시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Personalized News Recommendation System Considering User Reading Habit under Smartphone Environment)

  • 본 연구는 스마트폰환경에서 사용자의 관심주제와 읽기습관을 분석하여 읽기 습관을 분석하여 관심 있는 뉴스기사를 추천 시스템을 제안하였다. 사용자가 직접 관심영역의 가중치를 정함으로서 관심주제의 기사를 우선적으로 보여 주어 사용자가 쉽게 관심기사를 읽을 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 사용자가 사회적으로 이슈가 되는 기사에 관심을 갖는 경우 이를 반영하기 위해서 단순히 기사를 클릭하고 읽지 않은 경우는 가중치를 낮게 설정하였으며, 기사를 끝까지 스크롤을 하고 기사를 끝까지 읽은 경우는 가중치를 높게 설정하였다. 특정 분야의 기사를 자주 읽은 경우는 XML의 구조정보를 사용하여 관심주제영역의 가중치를 높게 설정함으로써 관련분야의 기사를 우선적으로 볼 수 있도록 하였다.

소비자의 블록체인 기반 저작권 유통 플랫폼 수용의도와 이용행위에 관한 연구 (A Study on User's Acceptance of Blockchain-based Copyright Distribution Platforms and Its Usage)

  • Purpose - Blockchain technology, which has the characteristics of credibility, security, integrity and decentralization, has brought innovation to internet platforms that mediate peer to peer transactions, as well as changes to the contents distribution services. Blockchain-based copyright distribution platforms can solve problems which have been articulated on prior internet social networks: increased market dominance of platform business because of centralization with no reward to creators who upload on platforms, and lack of fairness, such as unfair profit distribution between the copyright holder and businesses. With this background, the current research confirmed the factors that affect the intention of usage and behaviors, targeting potential users of blockchain-based copyright distribution platforms. Research design, data, and methodology - Centered around the UTAUT2 Model, the research model was designed with 'Perceived Security' added as Construct, and 'Age' and 'Knowledge Level' added as moderating variables. For data, 607 responses were collected by an online survey, and 601 responses were included in the final analysis. We analyzed the research model and sample by using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 on the collected responses. Results - First, results of research on whether Constructs make positive effects on Intention of use is: social influence, facilitating conditions, habit, and perceived security had positive effects on intention of use, and performance expectancy, effort expectancy, hedonic motivation, and economic value did not. Second, results of the research on whether facilitating condition, habit, and intention of use made an impact on using behaviors, it was shown that only habit and intention of use made positive effects. Third, in two groups divided by age above or under 40, group effort expectancy, intention of use, habit, and intention of use had controlling effects, and facilitating condition, intention of use, perceived security, and intention of use had effects in both groups. Conclusions - The research shows that no matter how great a blockchain-based platform is, if advantages of blockchain are not proved in various industries and utilized in real life like the internet, blockchain-based distribution systems will develop slowly. Rather than a short-term inducement emphasizing technology, there is a need for a strategic approach that can foster the environment.

컴퓨터 사용시간이 고학년 초등학생의 신체 발달, 식생활 습관 및 영양 상태에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Computer Use Hours on Physical Development, Dietary Patterns, and Nutritional Status of Higher Grade Elementary School Children)

  • 본 연구는 컴퓨터 사용 시간에 따른 고학년 초등학생의 컴퓨터 사용실태, 신체발달, 식생활 습관, 컴퓨터 사용으로 인한 식생활 습관의 변화 및 영양소 섭취 실태에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 실시하였다. 조사대상자는 초등학생 4, 5, 6학년 학생 265명을 대상으로 설문지를 배포하여 실시하였다. 컴퓨더 사용시간은 하루 2시간을 기준으로 2시간 이상 사용하는 그룹과 2시간 미만 사용하는 그룹의 두 집단으로 분류하였다. 컴퓨터 사용 시간이 긴 그룹이 짧은 그룹에 비해 주별 기준 매일 이용하는 빈도가 더 높았으며, 양쪽 그룹 모두 '컴퓨터 게임을 위하여' 컴퓨터를 사용하고 있었다 (p < 0.05). 컴퓨터를 사용하는 장소와 시간은 대부분 집에서 방과 후 저녁시간에 이용하고 있었다. 신체발달 지표에서도 컴퓨터 사용시간이 길수록 체중과 %RBW가 짧은 그룹에 비해 높았다 (P<0.05). 전반적인 식생활 습관의 경우, 컴퓨터 사용 시간이 긴 그룹의 식생활 습관이 불량하였으며, 섭취하고 식품의 종류도 기름진 음식, 인스턴트 식품 및 단 음식을 더 많이 먹고 있었다. 컴퓨터 사용으로 인한 식생활 습관 변화여부에서도 컴퓨터 사용 시간이 긴 그룹이 끼니를 거르는 정도, 입맛의 변화, 식사속도, 식사량, 체중감소, 운동빈도 및 수면 등이 더 불량한 것으로 나타났다 (p<0.05). 이상의 결과에서 컴퓨터 사용 시간이 길어질수록 아동의 신체발달, 식생활 습관 및 영양소 섭취 상태에 부정적인 영향을 끼친 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 장시간의 컴퓨터 사용으로 인한 바람직하지 못한 식생활과 잘못된 식습관의 고착을 예방하기 위해서는 학생들 스스로가 컴퓨터 사용시간에 대한 자율적 조절을 할 수 있는 교육 및 지도는 물론 이와 연계한 효과적인 영양교육의 정착 및 실천이 우선되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

Factors Influencing Use of Social Commerce: An Empirical Study from Indonesia

  • This research aims to analyze the factors affecting the acceptance of social commerce, including performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social support, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, habitability, price saving orientation, and privacy concerns using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2). UTAUT2 has been examined and modified in various contexts. The research model studies the acceptance and use of technology in the context of customers. This study adopts a quantitative method using the partial least squares regression (PLS) approach involving 244 respondents. The respondents are users of social commerce in Indonesia. The result of this research indicates that social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, habit, price value orientation, and privacy concerns have a significant effect on behavioral intention. On the other hand, performance expectancy and effort expectancy does not affect behavioral intention. Furthermore, price value has a significant effect on social commerce user behavior. Lastly, facilitating conditions and habits does not affect social commerce user behavior. This research contributes to the development of theory by examining an additional variable, which is privacy concern. This study is significant since social media and social commerce have grown exponentially nowadays. Implications of the results for the development of the theory (UTAUT2) and practice are discussed in the article.
